I’m still on 15.5 on my 10.5, trying to watch as many reviews on the iPadOS 17 experience on this iPad before deciding to upgrade. The new OS design looks pretty neat with those new widgets on home and Lock Screen. Just wanna make sure it doesn’t significantly slow the thing down haha
@@KAdesignz808 Yea the 10.5 is still an excellent iPad. I actually bought mine around a year back since I’ve known this model pretty well, and I know how capable it is with the 120Hz screen. I’d still pick those over the iPad 9th gen any day lol, even things like the speakers are so good on this still (it’s still an iPad Pro after all)
Still running iOS 13.6 on 12.9 inch model. Not sure if I want to update to iPadOS 17. I bet many would appreciate if you could tell us about the performance running the final version of iPadOS 17.
@@elzh437does iOS 13 currently support apps ? Btw I wouldn’t suggest u to update ur iPad to 17 cuz it made my device choppy and the 120hz doesn’t work on animations and switching through the apps properly but in the apps it works well
Thank you for the video ! I'm still hesitated ever I will update to iPadOS17 or not because some apps required the newest version also the security too.
I’m glad you found the video helpful. Generally, I am in favor of updating for security purposes. If you want to hold out until 17.1 you can, although I am not sure when that will be released
@@KevinTheSoftwareTester Thanks for the additional infos. I might be waiting a bit because I still not sure about the bugs when the OS is newly released.
For what I use the iPad for (mainly watching TH-cam videos) I can drain it quickly. But I’ve had it for 7 or 8 years. My iPad is never too far from a charger. If I was to travel with it, I’m sure I could make it last the entire day since I wouldn’t be watching TH-cam videos.
Hey bro my whatever i delete (apps photos videos) deleted data turns into system data in my ipad 2017 pro model. Ios 15.1 and i cant update ios because its says unable to check update probably due to system data taking so much storage and no storage left to update software ios. Please help
@@KevinTheSoftwareTester i tried everything it doesn't work. All iphone users now saying they have to reset their iphone every month without backup ( other wise old system data will be back) . Theres no fix. I don't know what apple is doing ☹️
In general, I think you should for the security updates if anything. My iPad is a bit older than yours and is running well (it is on the 17.1 beta). However, if you have mission critical apps, then you can hold off until you feel comfortable. Another option is to update to iPadOS 16.7, make a backup on your computer and then update to iPadOS 17. If your mission critical apps are negatively impacted, you should be able to downgrade back to 16.7
If I did not use the iPad for watching TH-cam videos (watching 4 hour livestreams), it would be a lot better. That eats up the majority of my battery. My iPad is usually by a cable, so the battery is not a factor for my use case
Great video. I’ve been using iPad 10.5 for 5.5 years but decided to stay on 15.5. Still works perfect on that version
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear your iPad is still working

I have the 10.5 also and been using ipados16 with no issues. I was surprise Apple made this model to ipados17 so I might upgrade to ipados17 soon.

Don't mention it! It really depends on your tolerance for bugs. No software is perfect, but I understand the hesitation
I wanted to see 1st to 3rd generation ipads on ios 17, why theres no one making videos of this on youtube?
That’s a solid question. My guess is that there’s not enough demand for a review with those devices
My iPad pro 10.5in for som reason can’t update to OS17 because it keeps losing internet during the update
Does your iPad lose connection often?
@@KevinTheSoftwareTester it used to
Maybe there is an issue with the chip. My iPad sometimes loses connection in different parts of the house for seemingly no reason
Good video and breakdown of whether iPadOS 17 is worth it on iPad Pro 10.5 - thanks! Thumbed and subscribed!
Thank you, I really appreciate the support

Have you experienced ghots touches or unresponsive screen while playing?
I have not. But I will keep an eye out for it on the 17.4 beta

I would check your recently deleted photos folder. You could also disable iCloud Photos temporarily. Restarting the device helps as well. Good luck!

So what’s the speed like compared to iPadOS 16 or 15?
In my experience, iPadOS 16’s speed is the same as iPadOS 17
