12.9 M1 2021 Pro now, also Mini 5--not sure keyboard on 11" would be good typing for me--touch type, rarely use trackpad on Ipad and like the 12.9 screen size--but open to considering down the road (won't upgrade for awhile).
ProMotion is the main game changer for me in the Pro vs Air debate. If you keep devices for 5+ years, go with the Pro. It’ll feel fast for a very long time.
@@JDDoug6930yes good point! I am still using my 11"-2018. Luckily I can be plugged in most of the time without problems, and do not •need• many cordless hours
@@JDDoug6930Need to maintain your battery with all the settings. I’ve had many smart devices last for years because of proper battery settings. My new M4 is immediately going to have settings set to 80% battery cap and won’t leave the charger over night ever.
The 11 inch iPad Pro M4 is the jack of all trades now that it has the same display as the 13 inch. It can do everything you need it to do. I just got one in space black with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro. Best device I ever owned.
@@ChrisPTY507it’s so much lighter and easier to hold. As a bed device - it’s night and day difference. Especially between previous generation bigger iPad Pro and M4 11. And because of different screens ratios horizontal videos are not that much smaller as it may seem.
The 11 inch is definitely the perfect size for any iPad. I had the 12.9inch iPad Pro a few years back and found that when using it as just a tablet on the sofa or in bed, it was just a bit too big whereas the 11inch is perfect for any scenario.
I did almost the same thing. Instead of replacing my M1 13 inch iPad Pro with the M4 equivalent, I went for the 11 inch because I have a 14” MacBook Pro if I want a bigger screen. I simply wanted the best iPad for other stuff like content consumption and arty writey stuff.
So wouldnt a bigger screen be more suitable for your usage? Bigger screen for larger content consumption and bigger screen means better space for art and notes? Just curious :)
@@catsanovagaming273 It’s a fair question! For my needs, I prefer my iPad to be easier to hold in my hands while I sketch or write. I found the 13” iPad Pro to be a little unwieldy in this regard.
I was a Flight Attendant for many years. And I remember passengers struggling with 13 inch iPads at their seats. It was too big. I vowed to go no bigger than 11 inches in a tablet.
11 inch is the perfect size for me. If I need to do actual work I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro M3. The IPad for me is really just for casual use. Movies, games, easy portability etc…. It def is the most comfortable feeling ipad
Yea!!! Mark has finally seen the light of the 11" iPad Pro. Welcome to our 11" iPadPro universe. Unless you have a precise use case for the 13" iPad Pro, the 11" Pro model is the sweet spot in the iPad ecosystem for nice power in a portable form that can easily fit on an airplane tray table in coach. Yes, I have uses for the 13" iPad Pro and it is a wonderful device, but the 11" model is the grab and go model for computing on the go. I use both daily, but I am holding the 11" for an 90 minutes a day plus using it in the magic keyboard while I am using the bigger model only in the magic keyboard or on a stand with the mouse, pencil, and a keyboard. Of an evening when I am reading from the iPad, I am using the 11" and not the 13" because it is easier to hold.
I did the same exact thing. Sent back the 13” for the 11”. Realized I wanted the iPad mini to be pro and the 12.9” pro to be smaller. The 11” is a happy middle
What’s media consumption like on the bigger tablet? Heard something about aspect ratios which made it out that the end result size wise was similar to the smaller 11 inch tablet.
I am a silver 11" iPad Pro M4 gal with the white version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) and Pencil Pro! Glad you fell in love with the 11-inch version. Welcome back!
Man! The same happened to me. All my previous iPads were the larger size and I went to the Apple Store to purchase the 13 inch. Once I got there, I handled both of them and fell in love with the 11 inch. I can’t believe how amazing this device is and how productive it makes me.
What swung it for me with the 11-inch model is that the resolution (2420x1668) makes the aspect ratio about 1.45:1, whereas the resolution of the 13-inch model (2752x2064) makes the aspect ratio 1.33:1. This means that when held landscape, the 11-inch model is "wider", and therefore more appropriate for content consumption. I've also just ordered the magic keyboard to go with it, so now excitement levels are through the roof!
I switched from the big iPads to the 11 inch Pro this cycle as well. Reasons: 1-No big differences this time (MiniLED vs LCD) 2-Stage Manager (if I need a bigger screen, I can plug it into my ultrawide) 3-Gaming (I use the “modified” gamesir approach and the big guy was just too big with a controller hooked on, the 11 inch is usable) 4-Cost (I saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to the 11 inch! (Sorry for the US joke))
I travel a lot for my job and that is one of the main reasons I left the Mac and became a full time 11” iPad Pro user. It’s easy to walk around with and use in a car. But the Apple Pencil has become indispensable to me. And for those boring evenings at night in the hotel the 11” iPad is sooooo nice.
I started years ago with 9.7, then 10.5, then 11 and finally to 12.9. Now, I bought the 11" M4 and couldn't be happier. I am out a lot so the size is perfect!
I totally get where you're coming from Mark! Went from a M1 16 MBP to a 14 MBP. Decided the iPad M1 13 was too big and now have the M4 11. I really like the size. I think it might be my favorite all time Apple device. For sure my favorite iPad and I've had a few. iPadOS actually works very well for my use (couldn't always say that). Corporate sales guy and it's my daily carry and the device I use the most.
I have/had an 11" iPad Pro, and thought I would prefer the larger size version, so I bought it and gave the 11 to my partner. The 12.9" in a protective case is very noticeably heavier and clumsier to carry around, or to hold upright for reading on or watching videos. It may now have a Gee Whiz double OLED display, but it is still heavier and clumsier to deal with most of the time, and too expensive to NOT have it in a protective case. The 8" being small to type on with virtual keyboard, and having no keyboard case, that leaves the 11" as the best all around size. But for book reading, I still prefer a B&W e-ink display in 10.3" size, especially outdoors or in bright lights.
I’ve had so many iterations of the iPad. I had the original iPad, I had the first mini, I had the 13 inch iPad when it first came out and then i bought the 3rd Generation 11 inch Pro with the keyboard and pen and honestly i have NEVER looked back. I am more of casual user (emails, internet browsing, some light gaming occasional word processing etc) and the Pro + Keyboard is quite honestly the best combo I have experienced. I have no need for a personal laptop now. It’s effectively a two in one laptop and tablet. It’s a great size for travelling, I can use it at a desk or on my lap, even curled up on the couch.
I switched back to the 11 inch with an M2 iPad last year, and it was a game changer. I realize everyone’s use cases are different, but for someone like me who uses their iPad from the comfort of the sofa or chair, the 11 inch is just better. Now rocking the M4 11 inch iPad and I love it.
Love that you came to that decision. I have only just bought myself the 11" pro. I wanted to get away from using my work laptop for everything, and wanted an IPad for my daily driver. I have watched some of your amazing vids over the past few months, and I probably went against the grain of what you said and went with the 11". For me, using it for personal stuff, some very basic snowboard vids/cuts in the winter and basically future proofing myself, this seemed a logical choice. I travel a lot, so your explanation of using it whilst travelling resonates with me, and I feel I have made the right decision! Keep the vids coming.
The 13inch is the best size for me, 11 feels so small.. Especially for my use case: learning, teaching, lengthy zoom meeting, presentation and excel files (much better these days than before)
I up graded from the M1 12.9 I Pad Pro to the M2 I Pad Pro 11 inches. Initially , I mourned the 12.9 inch M1 screen size, but after a week or so the convenience of the 11 inch iteration over shadowed any qualms I might have had for the bigger screen. Enjoy, my friend !
I have the 11 inch M4. Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse with pencil with notability. Good size. Yes I have paper like. Traded in my 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch. I waited for this. The size is right for me. Only 1 TB for the M4. Got the black and regular screen. Then I got my Logic Pro and photoshop. Again this works like a computer with the keyboard Black. The size is convenient. Great video. Thanks.
Your discussion and rationale makes so much sense. I am not surprised about the decision. Don't feel alone...I go back and forth about replacing a MacBook Air with an iPad and then is it the iPad Pro 11" or 13"? It's a common question I imagine by many!!
The 11" M4 iPad Pro is the first iPad I have ever purchased for myself. I'm loving it so far. The screen is gorgeous. I will not use it everyday but I can see that I will use it for certain purposes. I also know that the M4 will be supported by Apple software updates for years and years.
I bought the first iPad and have owned most models. I bought the M4 13" iPad Pro when it was released. I returned it a week later. Over $2,000.00 with 500gb storage and the Magic Keyboard. I used the first Magic Keyboard with an M1 iPad Pro 11" and I regret selling it for the M4. I'll stipulate that the M4 iPads are beautiful. Wonderful. Thin. Light. With the iPadOS file system and other limitations and pricing, I find more value in a MacBook. I do use an iPad mini as a book reader and it is perfect. A new updated iPad mini isn't a big deal for me. The iPad mini has a lot of value for as a book reader because of the book apps you can run - Apple Books and Kindle software, Audible, Chirp, Adobe, Libby and other proprietary software from our local public library system. I'd look at an iPad mini SE if such a device was released.
I am debating between an 11-inch or 13-inch M4 iPad Pro. The 11-inch is more compact and cheaper, but the 13-inch is better for multitasking and shows more of Final Cut Pro when editing. I am fairly torn on what to do. Am very interested to watch your new video.
Honestly, get both from Apple and return one. It is more subjective than it looks! Nobody can feel and evaluate exactly as you do, I prefer to do that always and... almost every time I decided different than I thought, just based on articles and videos.
@@edmundoa1935 That is a good idea. After the WWDC keynote, I decided to hang onto my M1 12.9-inch iPad Pro as I do not believe upgrading will give me anything other than a slightly better screen and a nicer keyboard with function keys. I was going to go for the 13-inch with 512 GB with the keyboard and pencil, but this comes out at £1828. It's not worth it, for those two additional features.
Going through a divorce with the iPad mini is not an easy thing, but you presented your case very well. Maybe its time to shake the tree, Thanks as always for your honest and informative video's.All the best to you and yours
Thinking about selling my mini to pay for a Magic Keyboard. The 11” is the sweet spot. It’s even light enough for bed. Getting old and the mini is getting harder on the eyes when reading.
I want to thank you - thank you! I bought the 11inch iPad Pro M4 in May, my first iPad again after 10 years since my last. I reasoned this size was the best for my use case in combination with an older 15” MPB and iPhone. I wasn’t completely happy and kept wondering if the 13” would have been better. On the advice in this video I decided try it with the Magic Keyboard - my first Magic Keyboard for an iPad. Incredible combination for me and finally satisfied the “should I have gone for the 13 inch?” itch. No - the 11” with keyboard is perfect for what I want it for, and easily undocks to use with a pencil when taking notes. Very pleased. Thanks again!
I down-sized from my M1 12.9 to 11” Pro and was super happy with the decision myself. For the Magic Keyboard issue, I opted to buy a skin to slap over it so cleaning any oils off would be way easier and faster
As an iPad Mini owner, and now with the new m4 iPad Pro 11”, the difference is so huge, I’ve got it with the magic keyboard, and really I can get rid off my MacBook 16” wich is only used as my portable studio. But for all the other things, like typing, mailing, or any other office work, notes or gaming, this iPad pro is my daily companion and I love it. Like Jobs said: “It’s just between the iPhone and the MacBook”. This M4 is a tribute to your legacy.
I admire the honesty. I respect your opinion and fully understand your reasoning. For myself, I need the larger screen. I have issues with my eyes as I have aged. I need the larger screen. A couple of years ago I had cataract surgery and have implants, It is like having fixed focal length lens in my eyes. I have a visual sweet spot. Small print is still a problem and I don’t have the ability to change focus anymore. Small price to pay to not to go blind.
My very best Mac Air Laptop was the 11 inch on so many levels. Screw the13 and 15 inch laptops. 120 Hrzt rocks... The ProPen is an ARTISTIC Revolution.
People forgot that a tablet was made to be just a bigger version of a phone to enjoy on your couch or bed. Nowadays, we expect them to outperform a business/gaming Laptop.
I went from the 2020 13" iPad Pro to the 11" M4, and it feels great. 13" is pretty much a laptop, especially when you add the Magic Keyboard, so then it becomes a bit of A Project to take it somewhere. So I ended up using it almost exclusively for watching media in bed, and occasionally as a second screen at the desk to watch some livestream. The 11" I can actually just throw into any bag or backpack and take with me. ...and I think I'm in the same camp: I have an iPad Mini, but I don't really have much reason to keep it around any longer.
In 2021 i had bought an m1 MacBook Pad pro 11 inch on a whim just because i was curious about it and wanted to see how side car would work with my m1 MacBook Pro however once i got it and had the apple keyboard i found i was never using my laptop and wanted to do everything on my Mac. A few weeks later i decided to get rid of my laptop and have been using an 11 inch iPad as my main computer since and had no regrets. I think a lot of TH-camrs make the same mistake you did and jump to the 13 inch instead of trying out and living with the 11 inch but the few who do understand it is the ultimate machine.
11” for me, I’ve always had the “normal” iPad size since the first one, apart from the Mini for a while. I’ve held out with the 2018 11” waiting for a display upgrade, and finally it came, so now I’m on the M4 11”. I bet it will last me six years or more, just like my old iPad Pro (which I gave to my son and he’s so happy!). I too have the 14” MacBook Pro. My iPad is my consumption and travel computer.
I went with the 11" iPad Pro M4 512GB one. I have an 11" iPad Pro M2 also, and I noticed the speed difference right away side by side. I like the 11" version better than the 13" one I tried at the Apple Store. IMO, the 13" one is pretty much the MacBook Air once you add the magic keyboard to it with a little bit more RAM. The price of the 13" iPad Pro is definitely not affordable for most folks. I think the base 11" iPad Pro M4 can handle plenty of what most people use daily on it and its a very powerful tablet. The other thing I have against the 13" ones is that the price is very close to the MacBook Pro prices. Once you add the Magic Keyboard to it, you are better off with getting the MacBook Pro unless you are looking to downsize your home setup to a touch only device with optional clip-on keyboard. I see the travel benefits of the iPad Pro vs a MacBook air or pro though. It's all preference though. If you are going to use the iPad Pro as a main computer on a desk, then I recommend the 13" one since it will be mainly on a desk. If you are going to use it as a tablet, I recommend the 11" one, its the perfect size for use on a couch or table. The size difference between the 13" one and 11" one is big especially when its vertical, so I would chose wisely. I think the 11" tablet is the best size for usability. I wish the 11" ones had more RAM to them though, like 16GBs, which would be a excellent option to pick if it was available. I agree with most of the comments here though that unless a MacOS like OS comes to the iPad, the high specs will be not fully used due to the limitations of iPadOS.
Great video. For years I always used the 13” iPad Pro. 2 years ago I switched to IPad Air and loved the smaller footprint and when I needed more screen I would just use external monitor. I traded the Air in for the 11” m4 and the new keyboard. I love it. The screen is amazing and I love the apple keyboard. I went with the white keyboard because I always chose black in the past. I think the white looks so much better. So yes return the black and go with the white. Also side point the 11” doesn’t have the wobble when using with the keyboard like the 13” does.
I just swapped my iPad Air2 for the new 11 inch iPad pro + magic keyboard and could not be more pleased, it is wonderful! I went for white which I think is best looking .
I have a 9" iPad Pro I bought in 2016...It's my backup for traveling as I don't own a laptop. I might upgrade to the 11-inch iPad Pro... the first time in awhile I've been impressed enough with the iPad selections to consider upgrading.
Haven’t finished this video yet, but I would agree that the 11” iPad is the right size for most jobs. I bought the Mini, which I like, and I own a MacBook Air, which I like, but I end up using the 11” iPad 80% of the time for work and home. I am in sales at work and have it hooked up to the Magic Keyboard. I just bought the iPad Air 11” because I thought I would be needing an M series iPad to take advantage of the AI features going forward. I passed on the iPad Pro so that I could use the Magic Keyboard I already had with the Air. Anyway, like an 11” piece of paper, it is just the best size for most situations. B
I have both a 12.9” and 11” M1 iPad Pro. I use the 12.9” for a second monitor or for photo editing and graphic design with the Apple Pencil. The 11” is for traveling with cellular internet access. I’m considering upgrading both to the M4 iPad Pros for the OLED screen and nano texture options.
When your iPad is a complimentary device to your daily workflow, the 11” is a form factor that fits well into the eco system. I take my 11” M1 iPad Pro with me when i travel, and leave my M2 MBA at home….
11" is a format that works better for many applications and the pro comes with the oLed display which is simply in another league in terms of viewing comfort.
It's the best ipad you can ever buy if you don't want to experiment with it by trying to use it as a PC but maybe if you're an artist then a bigger screen might be better.
Just bought mine 13' 1 terabyte cant wait it arrives Monday ❤... need the size for art programs that take screen space reducing your 'palette' size, so in that scenario,'bigger is better'❤
I agree with your comments on marks. I've grabbed a nice skin to throw on it... I've always done it... a great way to keep it cleaner and also look nicer.
I have an 11" M2 iPad Pro and I love it. Few of my friends have the 12.9" iPad Pros. Before, I had an 10.2" iPad 7th Gen and I appreaciate the small formfactor. It's big enough for me while not being too large or heavy, which I have, when holding the 12.9" model. I miss not having at least a mini LED Display but it's okay for me and now you get OLED in bothe. I'm one of the persons who actually uses stage manager natively and sometimes an external monitor. Since I have the Pro, I have turned of stage manager and didn't turn it off. It's a great device for me and as I said, I really love the size.
Pro Motion is the only thing that would push me up to an iPad Pro. I just don't think it's worth getting an Air if the screen is 60Hz. $999 is just too much thoughhhh
Honestly love the 11 inch M4 iPad pro. It’s just the right size, powerful enough, and it’s a top tablet. Couldn't see myself travelling around with the 13 inch, for me, this iPad is much better for my use case. The 13 inch is good if you prefer that bigger screen though.
this one agrees with you. :-) I had a past-model iPad Mini with a (Logitech) keyboard-case. It was lovely in many ways, but, and not for want of trying, the keyboard that could fit along the length of the iPad Mini was just too damn small to touch-type properly on. You could type on it! Not properly. Not at full speed. I really really tried. The iPad Air (4th) with the magic keyboard I have is brilliant for typing.
I'm in the same boat. I have the 12.9 ipad pro m1. Been wanting an updated ipad mini with pro motion to use instead. I'm thinking the m4 11 inch may be a nice middle ground.
I agree that after 9 years of usage of 12.9 Ipad pros, I am also thinking that 11 is a better form factor, now that the display quality is not a downgrade. I use it most of the times in my hands, not laying down on a table, and quite close enough to my face that screen size is not that critical. But now that I discovered the ridiculous greatness of Universal Control, I have started using the Ipad as a second display and it rocks! In that scenario, the 13 wins.
I chose the 11 inch version. I needed the power of the pro and I don’t wanna cart around a 13 inch iPad. I was afraid it would be unwieldy. I LOVE my 11 inch iPad Pro!
I will honestly say the jump I made from the 2017 IPP to the 2024 IPP is the biggest hardware jump I have ever made. You can’t compare the “feel” of the two at all. Not when I jumped from the cloth keyboard to the aluminum Magic Keyboard. Yes, I jumped on the pencil upgrade as well. I couldn’t be happier with the jump but I went from the 10.5 to 11.
I had the 2018 Pro 12.9, the screen is smashed so I've been looking at what to upgrade it with. Decided to go with the 11 inch M4. 100% happy with my decision
Kept my M1 11inch iPad Pro and purchased a 13inch m4 iPad Pro. Both devices serve different purposes. The 13 inch is better for Logic Pro, admin work etc. The 11 is perfect for content consumption.
I’ve always had the 11 inch pro. I’m actually watching this on my M4 iPad Pro 11 inch. Honestly, I don’t see the need for a keyboard. I have a 14 and 16 inch MacBook for that. I also have the latest iPad mini. It’s a little beast!
I have an 11-incher! For me, it's perfect. There are reasons why I have an iPhone, an iPad, and a desktop PC. If I'm going to blur the line with a huge iPad Pro 13", then as you say, one may as well just get the Macbook Air (although i really have no current use for that item either). For me, a 13" iPad is just not something that I want or need.
The 11 inch M4 iPad Pro is the perfect device for me. I owned the 12,9 inch with A12Z and the M1 earlier and I did feel like both was a littlebit too large for me. I just can not stand the regular lcd screen the 11 inch model got on the M1 so it was the only reason I picked the 12,9 inch again. This is the first year I can get the best display on the smaller size so I am very happy with that.
I use the 13” also as a second screen, which a major benefit over the 11”. Further, the 13” is now so slim and light, that it easily can used as your lightweight note taking pad as well as reading device…not to mention better screen size for movies etc. Watching fe a football game on a 11” is simply too small
I've got the I pad mini 6 and really need a decent keyboard. My main computer is the M3 Imac, but need the I pad for portability. I think I'm gonna trade in the mini 6 while it still has value and get the 11” Ipad with Magic Keyboard for all the reasons you suggest here. Thanks for the video. Really helpful.
I drank the coolaid on the paper like and I have to say, it helps with writing feel but I wouldn’t say it’s like paper, maybe with a change to the pencil nib. My wife’s kindle feels closer to paper for me, but an unintended side effect is how it changes the feel of the image especially for reading, reading feels more like reading on paper/kindle and I love it for that. It does slightly impact image quality but for me I like that texture better, it’s less like looking at a regular computer screen, like I feel less strained that if I use my phone or laptop glossy screen somehow. It’s great
I can appreciate your eureka moment and mine is just the opposite, kind of. I’ve had the smaller iPads since the beginning from the 9.7 inch regular iPad and iPad Pro to the 11 inch iPad Pro 2020 version and I still have that one and love it to use side by side with my new iPad Pro M4 13 inch to do tutorials on TH-cam and other platforms so I use the 11 inch for tutorials and the 13 inch to try out what I’ve learned as I’m watching. I also will continue to use my 11 inch for reading ebooks because it’s the perfect size to me for that and I’ll also use it to try out the public beta version of iOS 18 when it comes out so I don’t have to put it on my main device, which I never do anyway. I also love the 13 inch for using Final Cut Pro, for the extra screen size, which I’ve recently started using to see if I like, in combination with my Mac version and using it with the Apple Pencil Pro is really nice.
I bought this M4 ipad pro (11 inch) a few days ago, it's a wonderful piece of technology. Sure the chip isn't being fully utilized at this point in time but it's still a great device. I always thought the 13 inch was too big (at least for my hands). I ordered the new keyboard so I'm hoping it's better than the previous one.
What sized iPad are you?
iPad mini.. always.. best size ever for travel, in my situation.

11” 2018 iPad pro. Love it
12.9 M1 2021 Pro now, also Mini 5--not sure keyboard on 11" would be good typing for me--touch type, rarely use trackpad on Ipad and like the 12.9 screen size--but open to considering down the road (won't upgrade for awhile).
11” iPad Pro is in my opinion the perfect tablet size. Not too big, not too small. Love my M4 IPP. 😊
But to heavy to use on the sofa.
ProMotion is the main game changer for me in the Pro vs Air debate. If you keep devices for 5+ years, go with the Pro. It’ll feel fast for a very long time.
If only my battery performance would remain solid for that five year span. I end up trading after about two years for battery reasons.
Thank you! I am writing on my 11"pro 2018… which is STILL acceptably fast. Just needed to be reminded of THAT important fact 🥰

The 11 inch iPad Pro M4 is truly the Goldilocks of tablets...

Well said!
If you have to do only one device maybe. IMO the real Goldilocks setup is a 13” pro and a mini 6.
I love my 11 inch iPad Pro!! 👌🏻
😊
I was a Flight Attendant for many years. And I remember passengers struggling with 13 inch iPads at their seats. It was too big. I vowed to go no bigger than 11 inches in a tablet.
11 inch is the perfect size for me. If I need to do actual work I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro M3. The IPad for me is really just for casual use. Movies, games, easy portability etc…. It def is the most comfortable feeling ipad
I returned the 11 inch iPad Pro m4 and got the 13 inch m4. No regrets. Love it more with more real estate.
Does it feel heavier?
I still love my 13 inch however, I completely get your reasoning for getting the 11 inch. Looks like it was the right choice for you.
What’s media consumption like on the bigger tablet? Heard something about aspect ratios which made it out that the end result size wise was similar to the smaller 11 inch tablet.
@@HolloVVpoint 13" Is 4:3 & 11" is 16:9
I am a silver 11" iPad Pro M4 gal with the white version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) and Pencil Pro!
Love the authenticity here. Not all creators would say “I was wrong”
He is paid by Apple reviewer
@@Sandel99456 yea thats throwing me off
Type in "I was wrong" on your search and you will see how many tech youtubers use that as a tittle 😂.
I have the 11" M2 Pro. Excellent power and portability. Also, the display is more than good!
Reasons:
1-No big differences this time (MiniLED vs LCD)
2-Stage Manager (if I need a bigger screen, I can plug it into my ultrawide)
3-Gaming (I use the “modified” gamesir approach and the big guy was just too big with a controller hooked on, the 11 inch is usable)
4-Cost (I saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to the 11 inch!
I am out a lot so the size is perfect!
the 11 inch is perfect and when you travel about- the cellular vision is fantastic
The 11 is better than the 13 as far as watching content etc. It has a 3:2 aspect ration where the 13 doesn't.
I had the M1 12.9” Pro, which I really liked. I got the 13” size at first as well, and also decided to try the 11” and wow I love it.
11 inch iPad Pro (M2 in my case) and 13 inch M3 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB. Perfect setup for me!
It’s so useful to use the iPad as a wireless second screen, isn’t it? Have a similar setup with a 14 inch MacBook and 11 inch iPad for video editing.
Especially for my use case: learning, teaching, lengthy zoom meeting, presentation and excel files (much better these days than before)
What difference is the Excel from before and now?
I’ve used the iPad Pro M1 11 inch as my only computer and it’s amazing! It’s extremely portable and yet so powerful
On what you use it for
I bought the first iPad and have owned most models.
I had the 12.9 M1 and recently got the 11” m4. I’ll be keeping the 11” it’s so much easier to use whilst out and about.
Thanks for such a lovely comment! And... divorce 😂
Pleasure!
Im here to tell you I’m watching your video on the 11 inch on a delta flight and its the perfect size for the drop down table
Just wanted to join the pile on to say - I TOLD YOU SO! Haha glad you saw the light mate 💡
My very best Mac Air Laptop was the 11 inch on so many levels. Screw the13 and 15 inch laptops. 120 Hrzt rocks... The ProPen is an ARTISTIC Revolution.
Literally the first video I've watched from you and love your tone and pacing. Not some wildly overly enthusiastic loud mess. Nice
That means a lot - thank you!
People forgot that a tablet was made to be just a bigger version of a phone to enjoy on your couch or bed. Nowadays, we expect them to outperform a business/gaming Laptop.
Keep what you like to use the most don’t forget you can connect it to a monitor if need be
I went from the 2020 13" iPad Pro to the 11" M4, and it feels great.
The white version looks a lot better, and you don't see any dirt or oils pretty much.
If your iPad is also silver, it's a perfect match.
So basically get the free one Apple sends you? Gotcha
11 inch space black is fantastic but go with the white keyboard.
Wow! I literally returned my 13 yesterday and bought the 11 today before seeing this. Watching on my 11 and, yes, this is the Goldilocks size.
this one agrees with you.
That’s exactly what I did for the iPad Pro M2 moved down to the smaller screen 😊
I chose the 11 inch version. I needed the power of the pro and I don’t wanna cart around a 13 inch iPad. I was afraid it would be unwieldy. I LOVE my 11 inch iPad Pro!
The 11" pro is the sweet spot. Not just travel, just great for general mobility. It's not a laptop and it's not supposed to be.
It’s always great to have the latest and greatest, it’s just annoying that nothing new was introduced for iPadOS.
I switched to iPad Mini coming from regular iPads. I find the rectangular screen configuration more pleasing to watch videos and reading.
Ive been using the 11 inch iPad Pro since 2020. Love it so much I’m not getting the M4. Perfect Goldilocks size indeed!
Kept my M1 11inch iPad Pro and purchased a 13inch m4 iPad Pro. Both devices serve different purposes. The 13 inch is better for Logic Pro, admin work etc. The 11 is perfect for content consumption.
I have had the white version and in certain light conditions when the backlight is on you cant see the keys
I’ve always had the 11 inch pro. I’m actually watching this on my M4 iPad Pro 11 inch. Honestly, I don’t see the need for a keyboard. I have a 14 and 16 inch MacBook for that. I also have the latest iPad mini. It’s a little beast!
Your honesty is refreshing Mark.
I love my 13 inch one
Because it’s more formal and reminds me of doing Sth meaningful instead of just watching TH-cam everywhere with it
The 11 inch M4 iPad Pro is the perfect device for me.
I have an 11 inch pro ipad & it’s perfect for me!
It’s great
Best product I’ve found for cleaning the Magic Keyboard is a car product, Koch Chemie ASC. Cleans and leaves no residue.
I got a skin for my original Magic Keyboard and it still looks amazing after 4 years! 💻✨
I like that you admit a change in opinion means you are open minded 😊. I am having a similar struggle lol
