The US not qualifying a mens team for the Olympics is a disgrace. We are passed the time to replace our national coach and his ridiculous system. He has been a failure since day one.

Ok, so... This is not soccer, which is a sport where you can change head coaches from time to time.
US archery level has always been quite high on the international stage.... But sometimes there are just countries on which archery is at its prime. I mean, Mexico's or Colombia's archery is not any better than US archery is in terms of economic support, but they just knew how to read different shooting factors and not to lose their mental game.
In regards to the US archery team. It was just not their moment...
By the way.... Kisik Lee's (head coach) shooting philosophy is one of the best in the planet, and it's even used in my country. And by no means replacing him could result in any improvement either in the men's or women's team.
His system is a failure? By getting two consecutive olympic silver medals, his system isn't a failure at all... Besides, the women's team is one of the favorites to go for the olympic gold medal.
Upcoming generations of archers just need to be polished.

Take Brady out of the equation (he is a once in a generation archer) the US has done nothing on the International level. No medals in Rio and now we don't even qualify a team. USAA needs to make changes not only with the head coach but with their system.

@@danhaire9567 well... I assume you're referring to individual medals.... Ellison, Kaminski and Garrett got an olympic silver back in the Rio 2016 olympics. They just fell short of glory vs Korea.
If the US archery is having any kind of trouble, it might be limited only to the men's team. As you say, by taking Brady out of the equation, there isn't a consolidated 2nd nor 3rd archer, just because the competitiveness for those places is high.
Not having a stable men's archery team because of the aforementioned situation creates disruption between the archers and the sponsors who supply the US archery teams with any piece of equipment they need.
And those who make it to the archery team should guarantee that their position will remain untouched for a long time by means of a binding contract (which equals to pressure and unnecessary stress on the archer's performance).
I know exactly how it feels because I know exactly what it takes to be there (I'm actually a national team archer for my country).
Not so is the case with the women's team (whose names you'll see and hear a lot in the time to come) because there's not much competitiveness to make the cut for the US women's archery team, i mean, it's quite difficult to beat the scores of the archers that are currently in the team (e.g. Casey, at this moment is the #1 in the entire world).

@jota15888 this Olympics will be 8 years since the USA has won a mens team medal. So we have to wait 4 more years at which time Brady may be retired. Look also at our record in the World Cup events. When was the last time we won a team medal?

@danhaire9567 Brady won't be retiring anytime soon.... And in the upcoming olympics, the US archery women's team is expected to get a place in the podium since they're performing far better in the international stage than the men's team.
Also, US' last medal in a world cup stage was back in 2022 (silver)
