  • Find the BEST Cappadocia hikes in this video. We explored Cappadocia for about two weeks, hiking through different valleys in the region. We ranked our 6 favorite hikes.
    The best Cappadocia hikes include:
    6. Pigeon valley
    The 6th best Cappadocia hike is pigeon valley. You can start this hike right from the town of Göreme and finish at Uchisar. Doing the route this way will allow you to take in the amazing valley views, caves, and rock formations first and then finish with stellar panoramic views from Uchisar.
    5. Swords valley
    At number 5, we have Swords Valley. This valley is one of the shorter hikes you will find in Cappadocia at 2.5 kilometers, but it is extremely beautiful. This is thanks to the number of fairy chimneys scattered in and around the valley.
    4. Devrent valley
    Devrent valley is about a 20-minute drive from the Göreme town center and the trailhead is easily accessed by taxi or bus. This valley boasts some of the strangest rock formations you will see in all of Cappadocia. The majority of the rocks here have a red tint to them.
    3. Ihlara valley
    The 3rd best Cappadocia hike is Ihlara Valley. It is also the hike that is furthest away from Göreme town center as it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to drive there. Starting at the edge of the town Ihlara, you will pay a small fee to enter the valley. After 5 kilometers, and hundreds of rock houses and churches, you will come to Belisirma. Here, you can enjoy a unique lunch in one of the restaurants on the water.
    If you don’t rent a car, you could also book a tour, which takes you to the Ihlara Valley as well the underground city of Derinkuyu: www.getyourguide.com/cappadoc...
    2. Love valley
    The runner up goes to Love valley. This is one of the most photographed valleys in all of Cappadocia because of its odd-shaped rocks. You can easily access the starting point of this hike from the ridge above Göreme.

    I'm in Cappadocia now and stoked to find this video because I wasn't sure what hikes were where and how to sort of get started on them. Thank you for the video. Oh! Where exactly was that cave cafe in Pigeon Valley/Uchisar hike you shot in? I have to take photos in some clothes in that sort of setting so I'm hoping you know which one it was!? Thank you guys.

      It’s halfway up the pigeon valley trail! It’s hard to explain or pin it on a map but you should be all fine, it’s right along the trail! Enjoy Cappadocia 😊

    Such an amazing video, thank you! Heading out in September, and would love to capture some shots at night of the stars above some of the chimneys - would you say there are some good locations walkable from Goreme to capture this sort of thing? Just wondering as we won't have a car!

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching 😊Yes absolutely!! Göreme is in the middle of all the beautiful chimneys and so you can easily walk to some of the valleys like Swords or Pigeon valley. I can imagine it being very dark so be careful to not slip down! Some of the rocks can be slippery

    Nice presentation! Great job! Going tomorrow morning! Any chance you recorded the hikes and have the gpx files? :)

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We didn’t because there’s so many little side trails that you can follow (and which lead you all to the same spot) that we didn’t think it would be helpful but more annoying 😄 have fun!!!

      @@worldwildhearts thank you! Flying soon to Goreme. Keep up the great work and drop me a line if you make it to Crete. Can point out some great hikes.

      That would be great! We actually went to Crete in 2021 for a couple weeks. We watched your video on Balos Beach before going there and it actually really helped us in our planning. Thank you for the great Greece content 👊 will definitely connect with you when we’re back in Greece again

      @@worldwildhearts so glad to hear that! Will be doing more of those since western Crete (where we live) has countless options, not known to many. Would be great to share with you when you head our way. Boarding soon to Cappadocia. We watched your video 3 times to explore as much as possible. As long as the weather allows us to. Take care and all the best! ❤️

    Hi - Could you please recommend hotair balloon companies and if mid November is good time to visit Cappadocia.
    Thanks!

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mid-November will be cold! But it's definitely possible. Just make sure to have enough days there as there might be some cancellations due to the weather at that time (it can be cancelled 3 days in a row for example). We have a video about the hot air balloon: th-cam.com/video/78gqUZBeXd4/w-d-xo.html. We made our trip with Royal Balloon and highly recommend them.

    What rental company did you use for the car? Any recommendations?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was a very local company in the town of Ürgüp. There aren’t many choices available and we got a very old manual car… 😅

    • @worldwildhearts

      We were there from the end of October until the beginning of November (2 weeks). Still pretty nice and sunny during the days! Only the evenings and nights were very cold

    How about Red Valley Trail?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว

      We couldn't find the Red Valley Trail specifically when we were there. We wanted to combine it with the Rose Valley trail, which starts at the Red Valley Viewpoint parking lot. However, after exploring the Rose Valley, we could only find some small trails that went through a canyon and it wasn't well marked or too spectacular. Maybe you'll find it! But Rose Valley was 100% worth it to do and our favorite trail in Cappadocia
