  • Uçhisar is an absolute must-visit in Cappadocia. It's much more quiet and residential than Göreme. Uchisar Castle dominates the landscape and it's the best spot for an incredible sunset. In this vlog we spent the day wandering all around Uchisar by foot.
We started our day off with a meal at Centre Restaurant which served delicious food in a peaceful homely setting. It was so good we ate there a few times during our stay in Uçhisar, Cappadocia.
    Centre Restaurant
Address: Yukarı, Yukarı mahalle Park sokak Fatih caddesi, Pazar yeri meydanı no 7, 50240 Uçhisar/Nevşehir Merkez/Nevşehir, Turkey
To visit Pigeon Valley, there are a few view points, but the the Google maps marker simply called "Pigeon Valley" is where you'll find the souvenir shops and bird feeding station. Vasıl Cafe is along the roadside, a few minutes walk from Pigeon Valley.
    Vasıl Cafe
Address: Aşağı, Adnan Menderes Cd. No:7, 50240 Uçhisar/Nevşehir Merkez/Nevşehir, Turkey
    / vasil_cafe_uchisar
Both Tiraz and Uçhisar Castle are absolutely worth visiting, simply for the magnificent views that they offer but if you love exploring you can spend hours going through both these rock castles in Cappadocia. Going to the very top of Uchisar Castle is definitely worth it for the amazing views especially at sunset.

    Hi,
I just wanted to say, again, that these Turkey videos are great. We have watched all your videos. We found your videos when we were researching our trip to NZ for the America’s Cup….that didn’t quite pan out. At least you got to see in person.
Looking forward to the next video drop.

Hiya Anthony, thank you so much and for watching all our videos too, that's amazing! 🙏🙏🙏❤️ Aww that's a bummer you weren't able to make it for the America's Cup.. it was a really awesome time. I think we all just were happy to have something to celebrate again given the situation at the time in NZ especially! Hope you'll enjoy the upcoming videos too ❤️ Been so busy with other stuff going on but we're definitely still chipping away at all our editing and making sure we get our videos out on time so thank you so much for your support. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa finally Mr. Donkey!!!! Tiny little fellow:) Hahaha finally nice to meet the legend of Mr. Donkey! And noodles!! I don't know how long I could go without Asian food... definitely not as long as you guys have... I would have asked for just the pasta with mushroom and chicken sans sauce.. I would have just brought a soy sauce packet and mixed it with the pasta:) What an awesome place... nothing is better than something (or someone) that brings out your inner kid... the more the inner kid gets to come out, the better life is. Thanks guys for sharing such awesome places. I like your style of traveling. Good research, taking your time to get familiar with the larger area instead of focusing only on the “main attractions” and lots of curiosity, e.g. for local foods. By the way, did you visit any underground cities built during the Hittite times? They are much more bigger than the rock castles and head in the opposite direction, namely deep into the ground.

Thank you for your kind words 🙏❤️ and yes we did manage to go to Derinkuyu! It's actually in our next vlog 😁👍 We took the Green Tour to go to see it. Wish we had more time in the underground city to explore, it's pretty rushed with a tour group so it made it a challenge for us to vlog at the same time but it was the most cost effective way for us to get to see more places. It was very cool though! Such fascinating history throughout Türkiye 🙂

Hello 👋 Yen is from Malaysia originally and I'm from China but we both grew up in New Zealand.
I agree travel agency is usually way too rushed. We normally research how to get around using public transport which is often cheaper and gives you freedom of how long you want to spend at a place.
