When it comes to level design, I think it’s important you design the layout of levels for interesting tower defence scenarios - where can the player place towers in strategic positions? What path do the enemies take? How is each level unique?
You're right their should always be some special scenarios for the player to have fun with. I do have some plans in mind for the future. So thank you for your advice, I will keep those questions in mind when I am thinking about that. :)
@@tomasmartins5009 Thank you! Yeah the reason why I put so much fog in to it is because I am trying to build a wasteland which is after a fatal disaster took place on earth. The atmosphere is polluted and as you build your base more regions are getting unlocked and the fog disapears. I also broke my volumetric cloud asset so this is also just a placeholder. I hope this clears things up! :) (Now, I got another thing to talk about in the next devlog)
hey! Looks awesome so far. Im also making a surivial tower defense game, but in 2d. Subscribing to see how you do things! I think its such an interesting combination of genres. Good luck!
Game idea sounds promising but please consider making at least the character models by yourself. I would NEVER buy a game that uses those asset packs characters (or at least spend more than a buck on it) since they are used in SO many (bad) games that it comes off lazy and unprofessional.
Thank you! I get what you saying but for me as a solo developer and student who does not have much time. Buying assets makes my life a lot easier as long as I manage to make a good game out of it. I do make some assets myself if needed tho. :)
I hope y'all enjoy! 😇

Great video! Keep going, it looks amazing
Thank you so much!
Looks like a promising start. For me the only thing I hate seeing in games is that amount of fog with no real reason for it.
