Thanks! This was the first video that came up with my search criteria. It’s definitely a helpful video. I’m replacing my grill and the surround with stock replacement style (eBay) bought. I had thought the surround was aluminum until a stone exposed the plastic it’s really made of during some “spirited driving” I’m replacing the lower grilles as well thanks to a a stone that fell off the back of a dump truck which cracked one of the two. By the way, I love the wheels!
I just purchased a 2017 ct6. I don't have the option to do this myself, so would you suggest taking it to the dealership or to a body shop to have the grill put on?
Congrats on the new purchase!! In my opinion a body shop would probably be cheaper than a dealership. With a couple of simple tools tho I bet you could do it yourself, it was really easy ...thanks for watching ✌🏽
I have a 2018 CT6..I'm sure everything is the same on the assembling, My Question is can you give me the Name of that socket tool that you use to heat treat the camera attached to the Cadillac symbol can you give me the direct size and where can I get it at can I get it off of Amazon I have a guy that's going to install my Mash Grill once it delivered that's the only tool that he said he doesn't have he has everything else so can you give me any information on where I can get it can I get it out for Amazon what's the name what's the size I will very much appreciate it you doing a great job on assembling your grill
It was just silicone covering the screw and i was able to just peel it off. Fortunately for me right before I went to get the tool I needed I went back and started messing with it and it fell right out. I kinda kept jigging it. Or if your not keeping the old grill you can kinda break it out. You can always get different screws to replace them. I replaced my screws..Thanks for watching ✌🏽

@jaxson2824 The grill I bought from ebay came with an emblem. I took that emblem to a cadillac dealership and matched it side by side to other emblems. I figured since the one I received was a little smaller then the original then the Xt5 emblem would work and it did. Then ordered monochrome emblems
Looks really nice, I've purchased everything, going to be doing the install in a few days, but I have 1 question did everything work right for you after you installed everything camera, adaptive cruise control, lights,etc...?
I don't have adaptive cruise that's why my badge came out well..if you have adaptive then you might have to cut the center out of the grill where the adaptive badge goes other than that for me everything was perfect. The engine light comes on for a sec but after a couple starts of the engine it goes away after everything resets because of unplugging the sensor. Good luck thanks for watching ✌🏽
Just wanted to add..if your original front badge is the glossy photo print badge it's not the same size as the one that comes with kit. Your adaptive cruise sensor reads thru the print badge so you might lose that feature by changing badges
Great video. I have a 2018 CT6 Platinum. Where did you get the grill? I like the look. I will be installing an illuminated Cadillac emblem. You can get them to illuminate solid white or in the multi color. I was hoping you were installing an illuminated emblem so I can see where you wired the power. Thanks.

I have a Black 2017 Cadillac CT6 that I wanna put a new Chrome grill in also but I see it's easy to do I'm gonna take the grill off Myself just like you done and send it to be paint shop and put the new grill in it and have it Clear Bra and Ceramic Coating put on. Awesome video my brother. Question, i have a 2017 also and want to change out grille to the exact same ome only in chrome. I know u said the monochromatic emblem is smaller that fits but will the colored one that came off the original grille fit the new mesh grille as well??
The grill that I got came with a colored emblem I just changed it. What ever one you buy should come with one. However you old emblem I don't believe will fit...its gonna be bigger...Thanks for watching more vids coming ✌🏽
Have you changed out your factory horn emblem yet? I have a new monochrome horn emblem but wasn’t sure about changing it by myself due to the air bag? Might have to have a dealership do it.

@richardallison445 Yes..your original emblem will be to big. There should be a emblem that comes with the new grill. You will notice it is smaller. Xt5 emblem works
Bro do you know the name of the tool and what size it is that you used to take off the camera, I've purchased a tamper proof torx set from home Depot and nothing fits those screws??
Luckily for me right before i was going to get my tool from home depot I was playing with the camera on the old grill and just twisted it right off then used other screws for the camera on the new grill

I also used different screws after I got the 3 camera screws out too! That was the hardest & most annoying part of the whole process, the other stuff was pretty basic.

The new grill I bought came with a badge (emblem) that I noticed was smaller than my original. The Xt4 and the Xt5 both have smaller emblems so I took the badge that came with the new grill and put it next to both and the Xt5 was the one that worked so I ordered the monochrome emblems for the Xt5
@javierortega7645 mines is oem..haven't looked on ebay. Not to say that ebay is not oem. I might mention that the XT5 emblem fit because I changed my grill

If the grill you bought fits your model ct6 then the original trim should fit with it. I used my original trim
