I don't understand why they didn't lift the 2nd car and then see exactly which eggs were broken. It might have revealed something interesting or shown a pattern, maybe it would have just shown them that they put the car down on one side more which would suggest it could actually hold much greater weight if more attention could be applied to the distribution of weight. To just run a wire through them seems like a lost opportunity to learn something.
If they had carefully measured the eggs before hand and noted where each egg was placed, they would have found that the broken eggs were all longer than the average by more then the give of the material that they were sandwiched between. Obviously, they had added a safety factor so that a few oversized eggs failing would not cause a cascade failure by not leaving enough eggs to support the load.
I'll bet there's a behind the scenes person shaking their head going "Yeah. Yep. Well done Richard. I'm sure that's gonna be great fun to clean up, yah little..."

Franklin Zheng I think he means some parts such as the engine, axels and transmission are removed before the crushing begins. although this wont significantly change the weight there is a 400-500kg difference without them, hence the second half crushed car added on top in the video, to recreate the exact weight of a generic car
