Great review Martin. Nice mix of the stats and features and the feel of them 👍 Pleased to hear it's a wide fit, always struggle to find shoes that are wide enough!

I love low to the ground shoes, I like to feel the ground and have more control. With the rock plate anyhow you are protected, so I prefer such shoes for having more control. In regard the upper, if there is no forefoot sliding then they did a pretty good update, because you can use better the fingers. Only the heel counter looks like to be less protective, is there any padding inside? Nice review Martin, as always! 👍
Thanks Stelvio, there is some cushioning in the heel counter, it's not plush but it gives support without any issues. Overall, really nice for that lighter more nimble pair of shoes 😀
Thanks Martin, awesome review! The Trailfly Speed looks like a great shoe, love the low stack height and low heel-to-toe drop. Upper looks great as well. What do you think about the "stickiness" of the outsole? My experience with Hoka Torrent, which uses a 5mm Hoka outsole, is not as good in wet conditions as a Vibram outsole (like the Hoka Speedgoat). The Speed is not yet available in the US.
Thanks Reto, I did mean to mention on the video that the new stickier sole is to help in wetter conditions, but that clip ended up on the cutting room floor by the looks of it! So far they've been good in the wet, though I really need to get more distance in them over more terrain to have a better opinion. Hopefully, they'll get released over your way soon 🤞

great video! I wanted to ask you a question, I have doubts about choosing the right size. I currently have some inov8 trailfly g270 in size 11 UK, what size do you think could be appropriate?
I've not used the Trailfly G270, so I couldn't say for sure, but I also am a UK11 in Inov8 & I'd say the Trailfly Speed are pretty true for length. Not sure if that helps or not?
Thanks for review Martin. I’m still wondering why Inov8 have completely rebranded themselves and changed all their shoes. I’d best search around for and stock up on my favourite Trailtalons 235g! 🤣. Unless the new Trailfly would be a very good substitute 🤔
It’s just for marketing and to boost sales. They had too many different models with different sizing etc. There’s no substitute for trailtalon 235 (or 250) which is sad - hopefully they bring more models out
I think it was a bit of a brand relaunch to get folks excited about lots of new shoes & they were conscious that lots of people thought they were called Inov instead of Inov8, so ditching the foot shape & adding the number 8, a lot more folks will get it right. As for your Trailtalon 235's, I'd start buying what you can in sale before they've gone forever 👋
It's very odd that there are no user reviews on the website yet, as these have been out for a few months now. Lots of Mudtalon Speed reviews, but no Trailfly Speed reviews. Makes me wonder if they have some issues, and are holding back negative user reviews.
I don't know why there aren't any reviews on the website yet Chris, I think the Mudtalon had more hype about it when it was released, I'm sure some reviews will appear soon enough?
How long is your longest foot in cm? And which size did you get?
