Threatening to repour and then ending up with a beautiful painting...I'll have to start threatening my pours. Love it and love when you end your videos showing us cute Baxter.
Mina, don't take this the wrong way but it is really nice to see someone as talented as you are having a bad pour day as the rest of us " obsessed " people!! I don't know about everyone else, but it makes ME feel better about some of my " missteps ". We all love you! 🥰😁 Thanks for sharing with us!! Brenda
Love you so much hun! Sorry I missed the premier as we needed to dig out. Loved the twirls! And doggo eating an apple was such a fun highlight! Beautiful piece but sad it cracked.
Oh Mina, I’m so glad you didn’t end up pouring over this because after the threat, it turned out beautiful! I know you’re bummed about it cracking but it’s actually still really cool looking! I absolutely love you sharing all of your knowledge with us! I’ve truly learned so much from you! Much love! Treesie
🤗💚Heya My Mystical Mina! I use TLPs with just Liquitex Gloss Medium and Floetrol without the alcohol and it mixed up fine. I used the Liquitex to wet the pigments then added the floetrol. Or when I have it, I wet my pigments with GAC 800. So sorry this one cracked, but the colors and composition were beautiful.
I watch all your videos. All come out beautiful. It's been years of watching. Love your husband he is great. Thank you for all you do and your beautiful spirit
One of the things I enjoy about your channel is your depth of knowledge. I always learn something by watching you. Thanks for sharing your beautiful artwork.
I closed my heart to any cracking. It’s so pretty, it looks like my Mama and Daddy’s place in the Annapolis Valley, right on the Minas Basin. Such a high tide, it comes in and out so fast you can see the water moving., shades of green and blue on the huge rocks, reflecting puffy white clouds. A beautiful and kind place.
Thank you, Mina I also had cracking when I had used some straight satin enamel and some TLP mixed w/ bloom recipe, so your results are helping me out big time to figure out why it cracked. I never thought about it being the satin enamel until you mentioned it on your video. I loved the colors on this pour of yours.
Oh it looked so cool at 14:16 Mina! I was so hoping that you'd see it haha! The grey and blue looked like intentional negative space with the white and green swirling through it, it was very cool. Great anyway and I love this color choice! The cracks actually add some interest to it and with a coat of resin would make it look very cool! I hope you don't pour over it! Would also love to see this done with glue all as the binder and see what the outcome is!
Very Ethereal. . .I love the composition and the choice of colors. The color blends are simply lovely. Glad HOA is recovering❣️ Baxter & his apple 💕 such a sweet doggie. . .
Hi Mina! Love the way this pour turned out wet results! Somsad to see the cracking! Really appreciate your time testing the piggies for pouring! That Lilly pad/asparagus color is dreamy, and I'm not a green color person, except with $$ lol! Glad HoA is feeling up to helping with your videos! Tell him not to hotrod around too much with his new scooter! Lol!
Awe Mina I'm so annoyed for you. It was an absolutely beautiful painting. Even my own HOA liked it and he usually doesn't like anything with green in it, go figure and he's Irish lol We're both so glad that HOA is doing better and that his foot is mending after his surgery! Baxter is no longer a little baby, but is becoming a big even more handsome young dog 🐶. Much love to you Mina and HOA, along with Zen and Ming Ming kitties, handsome Baxter and the rest of your wonderful family Your friend in a very stormy Northern Ireland. Prayers to everyone on the East coast having to endure this terrible freezing cold weather and snow!
When I have a painting that cracks, I take inspiration from the Japanese practice of adding gold/silver/copper foil to the cracks. Imperfectly, Perfect.
I liked the experiment!! As you always say, we need to try things. Thanks HoA for helping out Mina!! Send you the best wishes for a quick recovery 🙏🙏🙏 I love how careful was Baxter with the apple 🥰🥰🥰 Big hugs and many blessings from Paraguay, South America ❤️
Bummer! I loved the composition on this one. The Prussian Blue and the green mix TLP look so good together. You will figure it out I am sure. Welcome back HoA!! Baxter was being so delicate with the apple--so cute!!
I'm a big Prussian blue fan.I love the pains Grey here.the jelly role that stayed was just in the Prussian. I almost cried when u were going 2 take Paynes out.
Hi Mina, thank you so much for being a great teacher. I know it's disappointing when a painting cracks. However, it provided a great lesson. The colors are pretty. Thank you for the information on adding alcohol 1st, liquitex then flotrol. Also invaluable is suggesting that it's best when using the Piggies to layer then with Opaque tube paints. I just ordered my first piggies that I can't wait to try- and having no experience with pouring yet, you saved me from wasting the pigments and then being disappointed. So I know you wanted a different outcome but my goodness you helped so many of ud I'm sure. Hello to HOA and Mr. Baxter. Thanks again.
Loving the colour combo, so pretty. Like the advice that you give regarding layering the TLPs. Beautiful....oh my so sad about the cracking. On the bright side lesson learned...Happy to hear that HOA is mending well and now getting stitches out soon... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mina, don’t be too bummed about the cracking. I know none of us want that but it does happen. Look at it as “character”! It’s still a beautiful piece. Thank you for the info on the piggy’s! Very informative! Love you guys!
Please don’t be bummed by the cracks, I actually like it and the cracks have added another layer of depth and interest. It’s more organic looking😍. Glad to see HOA, is doing great and healing well ♥️🙏♥️
I like this a lot too. I appreciate that you explained why you thought it split. That's so helpful to those of us who have the retention of a nat and need reminding. I think you should pour HoA's cast... with flames. Paint on my lovelies and stay well.
Hi Mina, I just use liquitex gloss medium, a few squirts and mix the piggy pigments in with that until the pigments dissolve and then I add floetrol. It works every time. I don't use anything else except the gloss medium to disperse the piggies. Thank you
Thank you for the layering tips! 🌺🌺🌺🌺 You rock, Mina! Love you, gorgeous! 🌺🌺Bummer about the cracking, but we've all had it happen, yeah. Bummer though. But it's fabulous you figured out why it happened. Thank you for always brining forth everything you do so we all continuously learn some of the most helpful of things - mainly from you. You are always an amazing wealth of information and tips. Really, people should all be subbing you because you seriously dish all the deets and have helped so many people with what they have learned within this art form. Anyone reading this, seriously, you ought to be subbed to Mina if you aren't. Does she deserve it? Yes. But, more importantly, you're here to learn and no one I've seen dished more helpful info than Mina has consistently done. Why would you not sub if you're serious about getting good at this? Ya know?
Ahhhh ! Mina , I kinda like it that way it gives it caracter LOL. No kidding this piece with a nice layer of resin and... POP you saved the day . I did that once on a cracked piece and it turned out absolutly beautiful . Really ! Have a wonderful day sweet Mina 😍😍😘😘💕💕
The pour was great even with the cracking. I loved the colours. I was watching Gina De Luca and she uses liquitex medium and gel gloss medium to mix her Little piggies.
Great video! 😁 Beautiful pour, lots of helpful info. My Mom likes it when my paintings crack - she says it looks like I do it on purpose and it adds depth 🤣😉 while I want to cry over my ruined painting 😐 But I'm with my Mom on this one - it's beautiful and it has depth 🤗 HOA's flash of his cast cracked me up 🤣🤣 And Baxter eating the apple made me smile 😊 Thank you 🤗🤗
Your fresh pour was pretty but I want to thank you for sharing the dried results! I’m still new at paint pouring and now I have a better idea of why some of my pours have dried as they did. I believe I actually learn as much or more from other’s “flubs” as from their successes. Thanks ❣️
Mina thank you so much for trying this with the Liquitex and the flow trawl. The colors you chose were awesome and the painting came out really good great movement. You could fix those little cracks but I think it adds character let’s get a little small paintbrush use the same paint and paint them in and they’ll vanish like they were never there. And Baxter looks so cute and so happy to be eating his apple he’s getting so big. Enjoy the rest of your day or your evening love the painting❤️❤️❤️👍🏾
I'm always a day late and a buck short.. I love it, panicked when you said I wanna pour over it. Grrr. Lol. I was gonna tell you awhile back when you were using iridescent granite. I mixed the granite with prussian blue. I am obsessed with it. It reminds me of the piggy payne's . I have no clue of how much of each I used. Just mixed until I liked it. Poured some in a small cup added a dash of iridescent medium . I liked that too. Playing with the colors is a lot of fun.
Ffs King of Payne is such a great name for a Paynes color. 😄 Now I have the Alanis Morrisette song going through my head 🎶 There's a little black spot on the sun todayyyyy 🎶

Totally agree! I think it added some cool interest to an already very cool painting!
What a wonderful pour for all our friends on the East Coast that are getting hammered. The Pour is beautiful and so is the tutorial.
Lovely 'little'🤣 piece🤗Thanks Mina😘😻🇵🇹
The thing is, I don't mind the cracks. I've even gotten crackle paste so I can make them. And in a painting of a storm they look in place. IMO
I actually like the composition of the cracking, I think it adds character.💕
Dawns here ☀️

The decoart sat en doesnt have enough binder. U could add some thick gloss gel or the behr db 8300 to thicken it.
