I love the negative space with these colors. I would really like to see this mounted on a black wall where the n.s. disappears and the feathered edge is the focal point. A beautiful painting Mina. That is one gorgeous puppy you have there. With those eyes I would spoil him rotten. Hugs you all!
Mina Mina the colors are so pretty. That Frost is stunning. My favorite part is the black void of space when Frost appears like wisps of wind when entering into Juipters glory. The Swirls and dances of color are invigorating. It dried lovely. The MIX seems to be the perfect medium in so many techniques. I can't wait to try some MIX as you have showcased it beauitfully. I wonder what would happen if you used two thinner "wands" and spaced them a couple inches apart? Might prevent the paint from puddling up so much in the center of the canvas and preserve the design a bit better? I'm not currently painting, otherwise, I'd try it myself :D
Love the colors not sure the purpose of the magic wand please explain and do you buy pre primed canvas or do you use gesso to prime or is the pour medium the primer. Love watching you
********TIPSY PIGGY RECIPE********** Step 1. Disperse the pigments in a little bit of alcohol. I used 99.5% alcohol because that is what I had. The higher the percentage alcohol, the less water there is in it. I have not tried 70% alcohol but I will. The most important part of this is not to use too much alcohol. Use just enough to wet the pigments. It should look like a slurry, with a little bit of liquid on top. I used about 1 and a half teaspoons of alcohol and about 3/4 of a teaspoon of pigments. This was enough for about 6 ounces of mixed paint. Step 2. I used Mix Pour as my pouring medium. I love Mix Pour because of the thicker consistency and the fact that it dries completely clear and shiny. I added about 6 ounces of Mix to my alcohol pigment mixture and stirred. Ready to pour with! Its that easy!
