    I will always remember him in TCM when he jumps off the roof onto the car and goes "BUUUUUHBUEEEEEEGH!" Laughed so many times.

      I reckon the fear, at first, was that it might damage his career and that he may have initially been embarrassed about it. But nearly 25 years later, he's over it

      @@86blackberrywhite Doing horror films early in your career used to be a really bad idea. Most actors and actresses who did so failed to transition to good roles in mainstream films. This was less true by the 90s but still probably something his agent was concerned about at the time.

    You can tell that in spite of all the hate the movie got at the time, he still genuinely loves his turn as Vilmer. It payed off considering in the years since we had Texas Chainsaw 3D and Leatherface 2017, people have here lately been starting to develop an odd appreciation for TCM 4. Sure, it's only becoming a cult classic because Leatherface 2017 was as terrible as it was, but at least it's found an audience.

  • @EmptyPocketProduct
    @EmptyPocketProduct 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's interesting that he is talking about this and acts like it was a big moment in his career. Supposedly, Zellweger and McConaughey have tried their hardest to distance themselves from this film, going so far as not allowing to use their faces on the cover of the film. But, they both are great in it (you could tell they weren't going to be your average b-list horror film actors) and the movie is super twisted. It has a made for TV quality to it which I find even more startling.

    • @Man_of_Tomorrow
      @Man_of_Tomorrow 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both have since talked favorably about making it. I don't think the 'distancing' and using their faces is so much them, you have to realise there are agents and publicists in the picture as well, who, especially early in their careers, probably didn't want them associated with it after they hit it big.
