That's the point about London. It's made up of small villages and settlements which have merged with the expansion of London from the original Roman settlement. But many have still retained some of their original character. This part of London called Lambeth doesn't really belong to London at all. It's south of the river and originally belonged to the county of Surrey.
Darling WW, what a glorious epic walk, a new day and some unfamiliar sights that without you I would never have the opportunity to see. A glimpse of the promise of springtime at 55:13, a lone blossom tree covered in white blossoms to the right of screen. Perhaps it was my eyes playing tricks? Birdsong in the park so enchanting, as if it were coaxing a very lazy sun from its slumber. Garden beds covered in heavy frost, the light quality and the mist and the sounds of your footsteps, added to the perfection of what you captured and shared with us all. Remarkable footage, every scene in the park reminded me of Constable paintings, no wonder he was so inspired, the light quality in the UK is incredible..... thank you x
I've watched this twice already, in the morning, with my coffee. A beautiful walk and I'm sure I'll repeat watching it regularly. Thanks for bringing England for us to see!
Wow thanks once more from Auckland where the temperature is 24 and very sunny…I really “ felt” the atmosphere of a very frosty January morning as you took us along with you Brrr! it’s always a joy to accompany you wherever you choose to take us
What a trusting milkman that delivers to the back door of the New Concordia, all is not lost,as a milkman of fifty years now retired that gladdened my heart. Mike.
Hi there, This was a great video on so many levels. Firstly the early morning light gave such wonderfully atmospheric views over the Thames. Secondly I love the way the somewhat mundane south London streets merge into glimpses of the tourist hot spots, as if slightly out of context. This was a lonely walk in parts, but proof, if proof be needed, that you can find relative solitude in London. This is the London right on the edge of the tourist map, but certainly not in it.
Lambeth, I only knew by name!!. London suburban neighborhoods to discover as they are, with more or less charm, of course. Southwarf Park, large and well maintained!!. There are often green spaces in London and it is very relaxing and pleasant for Londoners. I really like Soho Park with its half-timbered house. Very nice walk, at daybreak. The sound of the footsteps of our WW is comforting in all this silence. Thanks WW.
Great walk, tons of detailed timestamps. I can't imagine how long that took. Good enough to be a historic archive in the future! I haven't seen it all yet, will look out for your logos!
I've always watched but not commented before but this one was a work of art. The shifting moods and settings and sounds were magical. Walking towards sunrise through Southwark Park was almost religious. All of your work is superb, but this one was especially moving.
I actually like how you’re walking with your camera so smooth without shaking it. When I make a simple video on IG...I shake my phone a little. I wanna learn how to hold the camera the right way without shaking any of my videos. Greetings from Chicago 😊
I am an international student living in London. There’s so much to see yet due to the quarantine, I don’t know how much time we need to wait till this is all over. But thank you! Your channel is gold, you are my virtual tour guide now! ❤️
Loved this video. As a Brit living in the U.S., it gives me a taste of home. Used to live in Ealing. I walk on the treadmill while watching videos. Feels like I am walking with you. Thanks for all the work.
I was so looking forward to going back to London this year but until they lock down this whole corona thing, my travel plans are on hold - but I'm happy I still have your videos to watch to fill my London fix :)
I loved that most especially when you went into Sourthwark Park. It was lovely. So nice to see parts of London that are not touristy but homely. I have never been to Rotherhithe before. Thanks W.W. I am partial to parks.
@1:14:17 I was at this pond this morning and was sad to see that one the swans had died and was lying in the water. Its mate with five young signets was nearby, and seemed confused. Sad
I just love these! I've been to London a couple of times and hope to visit again soon, but in the meantime these walks of yours are just the ticket. Thank you for them.
What a great walk, especially the second part of the vid. That fantastic sunset sunshine in combination with the earth frost in the parks. That walk must have feeled very good. Is it not exhausting to hold the camera the whole time? Is it your real arm or did you stole a Cybermens arm. LOL Once again, thank you very much for your work.
Thanks Ray, the Osmo Pocket is very light so it's not difficult to hold a long time - unlike my older setup with the iPhone 6 and gimbal, that was hard work!
Happy to be with you in this long walk along the Thames when sunrise and in the lovely Southwark park. My compliments you're really a hard walker! Greetings from Olbia Sardinia
I love how Tower Bridge is framed by the buildings on the pedestrian street, even if the street itself looks like something from a sci-fi movie. The light on the cityscape at riverside is great.
Watched Walker, my friend, once more you have managed to manufacture a success contents for all on the TH-cam platform to witness fully with eyes unclouded. I will never tire of watching London city in your video works.
I was staying in a hotel near of Lambeth North Station in early December last year. It was my first time travel to UK or even Europe Continent. There is a 'not so old' woman officer of this station that help and guided me as i am a newbie in town. I also recognize some places here. Oh how I miss London and UK so much.. You do a great job thru this TH-cam Channel. Thank you.

Any time you're Lambeth way... ;) That's a lot of information old chap, great work as always and those colours are fabulous. Absolutely loved seeing Shad Thames waking up. Thanks👍 Sorry, keep editing this but aha, it's good to see the Osmo Pocket in action. And finally... How did you manage to get a rare good weather day this February for filming?!
Great great service. You can think of selling your videos to Technogym or any treadmill maker out there. Another great service is for hospitality, watching the neighborhood before booking an hotel at an unknown place is priceless. I have just one question if I’m so lucky you’ll read this How do you hold your camera in this video ? Thanks for the great work
