For my gloves, I used 6 mm for the back of my hand and 2 mm for the fingers. Worked really well. I used Elmer's spray-on craft adhesive to attach the pieces since I did not want to burn myself with hot glue. Thus far, even after multiple hours of wearing them and whatnot, nothing has fallen off.

Okay so I'm glad that you put this video out because it told me that I made my gloves correctly because I'm working on my first costume build and I used the same kind of gloves and 4 mm EVA foam from TNT cosplay Supply

Really enjoyed this one. Super Simple & Super Cool. I'm working on an Alien and want to make gloves to sell "creature" this was perfect timing. I want to make it look like a 3 finger/claw hand. This technique will help me achieve that. Thanks as always ET !

Have you considered making a pair of hand casts? They might be useful for patterning, as well as assembly of gloves.

If you were going to assemble them on your hand, why didn't you use Barge? Does the contact cement not stick to the gloves well enough?

What I wonder as well. I always used contact cement to glue foam to gloves and it lasts way longer than shitty hotglue lmao

Ha ha ye, barge would work great. I was rushing to get them done. I will make second pair of gloves better.

Tried something similar on the same kind of gloves. Contact cement doesnt bond very well to the cloth part. Barge might be different tho. (Its hard to come by in Aus..)

I have to second this but when I used the contact cement for my Uravity armor they didn’t stick long enough. I had to go to repair booth at the con and use their super glue and they saved my armor!

Happy to see that I am not the only one who has hot glued stuff to gloves while wearing them :D I did the same thing with my Kamen Rider OOO inspired Greeed Arm, hot glued the armor plating that i made from cardboard on to the glove and the extension I made to cover my arm, all while wearing it :D

Hell yea!!! I made my own Gauntlet too Ted, and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. From cleaning the seams and using the same glue as you to making templates the way you taught.
It’d be really awesome if you can check out my video on it (it’s the Infinity Gauntlet).
