      Yea it is strange kind of pride! It is like validation! It is like, "hear hear my ancestors, they discovered something useful!!!"
      "Awww, it is so great, well done!!"
      Aa gaya khudki dikhane!
      It is a natural resource of this planet! Chinese don't care about this kinda pride! Or, any other people from anywhere!

    How can I dry the root if I have no drying room?

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could purchase a dehydrator or put it in the sun on a window seal, you just want to be careful of it molding so lots of airflow is important if you are putting it in a warm place to dry.

    It appears that the brown coating was scrubbed off of the roots, leaving them pretty white before drying. Is it harmful to leave the root “sleeve” intact?

    Can you add honey to counter the bitterness?

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! Honey not only helps sweeten the taste but can also act as a powerful anupan, or carrier substance that can help bring an herb's benefits deeper into the tissues.

    What part of the root is really beneficial just the tender outer part or the whole thing are the compounds that are desired in the ashwagandha root stored in the exodermis or the cortex of the root or both? I just wondered because the inner part is really hard to get ground to powder/ , thanks.

    Can I eat a teaspoon of the roots or does it have to be powdered form

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The most traditional way of taking the Ashwagandha is drying it and powdering it. We recommend working with a practitioner to determine what the best dosage would be for you and your specific constitution.

      @@banyanbotanicals I bought some dried at a farmers market. Can I still powder it

    • @nels6991
      @nels6991 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DutchStyleBlacclouDs Sure, but it is tough with thick fibers so you will likely need some horsepower to pulverize it (Or if you are adventurous you could freeze it with liquid nitrogen and hit it with a hammer). A good coffee grinder should do the trick, just run it for short spurts so as not to burn the motor.
      May be easier to soak and blend it honestly
