Should never tell your dog to "knock it off". Tell them "good guard" because they can hear & sense things we can't. Encourage them, always take them seriously and go investigate. Especially when your dog doesn't usually do that. This teaches them to not bark at everything and let's them know you'll listen when they warn.

In retrospect I think about how disturbing the whole Christmas legend is…A creepy old man “breaks into” homes and leaves gifts. I mean, as a child if you did see a man in your living room in the middle of the night, I think it would be pretty traumatic. But, that is why it’s for children…it’s nice to keep the happy, exciting backstory rather than a story of a creepy man encouraging children to sit on his lap and break into homes 🤷🏼♀️🤪😂

God for the story where their coworkers overdosed on fentanyl, my husband immediately knew what had happened because of his line of work. How awful for everyone. Also, the amount of stories where people are in public, feel they're in danger, and don't call the police baffle me.
