People also always assume that it’s the drug addict down the street, that it’s an “over there” problem, but the reality is it happens in families that appear to be totally normal. Why does Whitney think we can hear the banging of a table? I listen with headphones and never hear a table being banged. But I can hear people chewing things directly in the mic. So far loving the conversation. Both are equally matched and can keep up with each other so well.
In previous episodes the banging of the table would rumble my sub, this episode they had the high end WAY too high thus the chewing and smacking sounds.

My mother was being beaten, her neck wrapped with an old school phone cord, my step dad dragging her and mutilating her and I ran up and down 3 stories, knocking on EVERY door and it took 15 minutes for someone to call the police. I was 5. It's fucking ridiculous! If someone is screaming for help, please call the police.
I feel people just want any reason to hate these two. As a white male, who is happy with his life, you are both fantastic for the world. It is always a pleasure to see Nikki as a guest. Im a guy in my late 40s. I cant have a relationship. I struggled with me being molested in my childhood but i came from a culture that you can’t speak out on that. The experienced made me feel weird and people think i was weird growing up. I put it up to me being a functional autism. It was during new technology of internet that i can learn openly about this and what happened to me. I know i was hurt n i am always conscious that i dont want to hurt others. Being functional human is all i can do and finding peace and to make peace with the past is my goal in life
Much love to you. I'm sorry for the pain you've lived through, and I'm hopeful for your future to be brighter. If you haven't already, please don't hesitate to get help from a trauma specialist. There are powerful tools available to start healing those old wounds, but you need to ask for help first.
Thank you for the kind words. I have found help way back in 1997, but it is a long journey. There was a process that i had to undergo: to forgive myself, to heal, to love myself and to curb the anger i feel for the world, for people and for basically myself. I felt i was molested becuz i deserved it n it poisoned me to turn on myself subconsciously. I felt damaged n not worthy of love. I find it was easier to associate myself with evil becuz then it solidify my belief that im not worthy of mercy or love. I often think about killing pedos. But when i see children, i see a sense of hope n i worry for them. N that worry reminds me that i cant be evil if i want to protect them or their hope. Covid was a godsend becuz it gave me pause. I found peace w God but it just a journey u know to extend that peace to the evil i see in the world. I know this feeling isnt a healthy to have a savior complex. So im working on things still. Thank u again. Its funny but that Loki show made me identify with him. The past cant define you. You can choose to be a good person n do any actions based on compassion n doing the right thing. Yes the world is fuckd but if you can survive, be ok and be happy despite it all, i guess that life is worthy n hopeful

I knew this episode was going to be good! Nikki always delivers. Their chemistry is great. This was hilarious and interesting.

I usually don't comment but I feel like all these negative comments are so easy to read and be persuaded to go into the pod looking to hate on you both but it's worth watching and hearing real woman just gab like real woman do.
They were really onto something with the jokes not condoning the actions they discuss. Laughing about the depression and anxiety that plagues me is about all that keeps me going these days.
I think it really depends on how it's done tbh. I'm not sure how I feel about it when ppl haven't actually experienced it though. Idk. When men do it, it's really creepers that's for sure
@@deadams8905 i agree. Its a fine line and they definitely have to have had to truly experienced it. Its the only way they can understand it enough. Whitney and Nikki both are cleared in my opinion. They've both dealt with mental illness and they know how to speak about it in a non triggering way.

Nikki & Timmy D are my favorite guests and it's awesome to see Nikki back and doing so well. They been fighting weird and difficult to talk about issues/illnesses lately and it's cool to know people as successful as you are working through the similar issues and gives me hope to hopefully win my battle and inspire 1-day too.
