Calling De Melis a “Mustang enthusiast” is like calling the Pope “an ardent Catholic.” The 31-year-old eats, lives, and breathes Mustang, both professionally - until recently, she worked for Ford’s social media team - and in her free time, running her own “Mustang Marie” website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
She’s spent hours upon hours digging through Ford’s corporate archives; has met, interviewed, and befriended many of the big names in the Mustang world, including the pony car’s now-late stylist, Gale Halderman; and has even memorized the options and VIN-code breakdowns for most first-gens. Yes, give her the serial number of your ’66 hardtop, and she’ll tell you off the top of her head where it was built, and with what engine and features.

Awesome to see this young lady really appreciates the car! As the "current caretaker" of a '67 fastback I agree that the aura of nostalgia and history is almost as cool as the car itself. It's really cool to see these cars pop up in old footage and movies from the late 60's!
I've got one, small block 67 orange rear jacket up wider tires to get that drag look, I took my dash cushion off, and it looked better, like a rat rod, has holes drilled in it for weight

I’ve been a technician for 35 years. It is so wonderful to see lady’s embrace car culture, to be technicians and enthusiasts it’s great. Love the car. My daughter and i are building her car a 1967 mustang GT wish us luck

As a Brit who loves American Muscle at heart, the ‘67 GT Fastback is my personal favourite out of all the Ford Mustangs in history.
Amazing story! I remember when Matt Maran got his Ecoboost years ago and now he owns a Bullitt. I like all cars since I was a kid, but I've started to really like classic cars. From Corvettes to Mustangs, each model has a story to tell.
It looks and sounds amazing! And the owner is beautiful too.

Hi, a question for you. Is that a 63 B code.? I didn't see consoles. Were all 390 cars built in the Metuchen NJ factory.?
Raven is a true beauty. My ultimate dream car. She's in great hands and driven by a true enthusiast. I love that Mustang so much! I've ordered the scale Lego model (that's all I can afford right now).
I owned a '67 GT notch back when I was 16 yrs. old. Fully loaded, AC, power brakes, even had the overhead console. It was red with a black interior. Totally stock other than Hooker headers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 850 double pumper, and Hurst 4 spd. shifter. My only complaint with it was changing the spark plugs. I loved that car but had to sell it when I went in the military. 53 yrs. later I still regret that sale more than any other in my life. Go Ford! BTW: The guy I sold it to scared himself with it so bad that he sold it a month later. The good days.

I have owned a yellow and black 69 Fastback in 1973, a cherry red 2008 GT Convertible and a white 2014 GT Convertible which I still have. Those cars have been my babies so I can certainly relate to some cars being treated almost as it's own person. Take good care of Raven and may you have memorable adventures together.

My parents bought a 66 GTO brand new and we still have it ...and it still looks new with only 9.800 miles

The 1967 / 68 Fastback GT is the Greatest Mustang.
First car I ever fell in love with was a ‘67 coupe. 289 HO 4 speed. White on teal. Wanted her so bad but she was another man’s girl. Great video. Absolutely stunning car.

No. Still have a bit of a hole in my heart. 😆 Plugged it with a motorcycle. I get the same exhilaration from the bike. Have a fantastic Holiday and an even better 2021.

In 1965 bought a new black notchback with red interior. Just bought a new 2022 Ecoboost. Didn't find red interior at price I wanted to bay.
This is very good choice. I live in germany. I have also a 67 Ford Mustang Fastback V8. He was imported from the usa into germany. the european people love this car and pay many money for this.

Around 1972, I traded (because of gas shortage) my 67 mustang GT 390 cu in for a Maverick thinking better mileage. The GT350 was Midnight Blue with Parchment Interior. As beautiful as yours.How stupid was I ? Then later I restored a 66 mustang GT350H (Hurst). No sooner was it finished, I sold it for a down payment on a home for my new wife. Every day I regret both decisions. I should have tried to come up with better alternatives. I can appreciate how you feel about your beauty.

Love it, get rid of the whitewall tires, put Goodyear raised white Eagles on it. NOT picking, just my preference.
I hear ya! But, according to her Marti report, she was ordered with Nylon white walls - I try to keep the car as close to the Marti as possible, so that’s why I went with that :)

Beautiful car! I am in Ontario as well. I have a 68 coupe 289, p/s. Also a New Jersey car. Did you ever find the factory build sheet up under the column. They did this in New Jersey plant.
@Mustang Marie You have a lot more than me. Mine is very low miles 29 000. Original drivetrain and is very clean. I am in Kitchener. I don't get to many shows but would enjoy a Mustang one in the future.
