    I sincerely admire this
I wish to cook Turdal without the use of Pressure Cooker which is totally unsafe in terms of long term health / well being

I would say add a dried red chilli the beginning and also add a bit of chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder to bring in some flavours. Otherwise, it’s a bit bland imo (and I don’t like my dal bland 😅)

I agree it’s quite simple, and I know it’s very tasty since cutie pie Maahi is enjoying it. 👍👍❤️

I'm so thankful that he loves dal for now.

Yummm! This is basically how I make my dal since we don’t own a pressure cooker. Dal & rice is my & Mitchie’s ultimate comfort food (and what he’ll be taking for lunch at school next week). Love Maahi’s contented smile while eating this goodness!

I remember you mentioning to me that Mitchie loves dal and rice! That makes me so happy to know. I'm trying to expose Maahi to the recipes my mom made for me growing up, and the meals I've leaned to cook since getting married. I really want him to have an appreciation for the cuisines of both our cultures.
