It's probably good that I only have a 300L. I really don't like to go faster than 90 kph. That said, I don't like to go slower than 70 so I open myself up to tickets around town and I piss off everyone behind me on the highways lol.
I have a GSXs-750 and a DRZ-400. They both have their place. The way the 750 turns into a monster at 6,000 rpm’s is special, but the 400 is a blast for exploring. First world problems lol.
That's a popular Harley. I'd love a Harley. If I got one it'd be a low Rider S. Can't afford one though. A Road King and a 300L is a good combo. The attraction of opposites 🙂.
@@erichalitsky1285 Now that's an interestiing collection of rides. A friend of mine has a CT90 that he is going to refresh. I should have kept my 1984 GR 650 that I was doing a build on, but life intervened 🙂
I got the speed out of my system in my 20’s with the crotch rockets. Now at 51 I just putt around, but I prefer to be playing in the dirt more than anything. So you think that I would had bought an L model. But because of where I live, I knew that I would be traveling on the road a lot to get to dirt, and so that’s why I purchased the Rally instead. Two and a half years with it now and I love it more and more every time I ride it.
Thanks Scoot I only have the CT125 currently so has to be chill not going anywhere fast for sure. It's great to take camping n ride the trails with though.
In most cases, doesn't matter where you are or what you want, doing the speed limit will create unsafe conditions, as 90% of drivers routinely drive over the limit. Safest is to go with traffic flow, unless everyone ahead of you is insane of course.
I know how you feel sir. I have a 16 Africa twin and a 15 250l. Love them both. But if i had to choose 1. The 250l wins every time. For all the reasons you mentioned.
Years ago I loved ripping around on 2 stroke street bikes , but now at 57 I love the trails and back roads at reasonable speeds on the dual sport
I hear ya on the 2 stroke street bikes. My first bike was a Yamaha YM-1. It was a 305cc 2 stroke twin. Lovely bike!

Haha, that's a cunnundrum for sure :-)

Yes indeed, first world problems. I just returned from a ride on the 650F. Each bike has its character for sure.
At 63 , relaxed is where im at. I have a 2019 Harley Road King , and the smiles per mile are way more on my 300 L. Great video John !

@@Scoottoots I also have my dad's 1972 Honda CT 90 , that he bought new.
And a 1984 Honda CB 700 Nighthawk S , That's a fun bike to ride too.

These CRF's, the L or the Rally, are easy to 'connect' with. They grow on a guy and bring out the best in us :-)

The smaller they are the more fun they seem to be. I had a 50cc 2 stroke scooter and it was a blast :-)
Doesn't matter where you are there's always a speed limit doesn't matter what you want just do the speed limit

I hear ya. I may become a one-bike motorcyclist in the near future... maybe ;-)
