Knowing that you and your type of people exist is giving me hope about mankind. My condolences for your loss. Thank you for reminding all of us what is really important in life.
Just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your Chanel ! I am two years older then you & been riding all my life . At this age meditate family and most old friends are gone an wife is in nursing home . Riding is the only real joy . Currently I have Tracer 900 GT & Honda CRF 300 LS . I found your Chanel looking at mods for the CRF 300 LS . Thank you sir for the great content .
Oh man, thank you for this. I always seem to doubt the value of anything I put out there on this channel. Yup, things change around us as we age. Friends die or disappear and family passes away. Sorry to hear your wife is in a nursing home. But life still offers the whole enchilada, and I think we owe it to life and to ourselves to dive in fresh every day, as well as we can. Nice combo of bikes you have there. They would cover the range of riding desires I would think.
Thanks John , I needed this. I'm helping look after my mother , taking turns with my brother and sister. My mom is 105 , she'll be 106 on December 9th. She still lives in her own home , and is in overall good health , but she's still 105. It can be emotionally challenging at times , but I know that someday , I'll be happy I did whatever I could to help her live her best life. So sorry to hear about your brother's passing. Life is all about attitude. My mom is 90% blind due to Macular degeneration , and is hard of hearing , but she takes it all it stride. Take care John
Oh man, I'm so happy to hear of your Mother's attitude at her age, with vision impairment to boot. It's heartwarming to hear you and your siblings are watching over her and helping with what she needs to live her best life, as you put it. My wife has a great attitude like that. Throughout her ordeal years ago, she remained patient with what was happening. That made my task easier. Good on ya, Eric, for helping your Mom. Life is relationship!
Very sorry for your loss, that's rough. I lost 2 of my uncles this year, most recent a week ago and yesterday we had to send our family dog to heaven so that was tough watching her lay down her head for the last time.
Thanks Scoot Ive had similar times one with my mom and circulation / amp then many things all at once got her many years ago she was 59 Then last year at this time my oldest brother passed I'm 4 0f 6 and the motorcycle helps getting away and having a think.
Thanks for sharing that, Joseph. Sorry to hear of your Brother's passing. You're right, motorcycling is a good way to find center when dealing with challenges like that, and caring for your Mom when she needs you. Life is profound when we pay attention to how we feel in each moment ;-)
So sorry for your recent loss. I have been dealing with issues with my heart for the last 10 years but things have changed recently and I was told I would only have 5 years left if my heart didn’t recover. The pumping action is quite low. I am on a new med that costs 2200 a month and we had to appeal to our insurance company y and they agreed to pay for it moving forward. I grew up in Stellarton NS. I have been living in the US since 1996. I live in Memphis at the moment and the situation has been reversed for me. My wife is the one who has taken care of me on the tough times. Life certainly isn’t boring that’s for sure. II wish you and your wife my best. Take care.
Thank you. I appreciate your well-wishes. Sorry to hear about your heart condition and the prognosis going forward. I hope you can do whatever you can to mitigate some of the issues. The quality of life is far more vital than the quantity. It sounds like you and your wife have a good relationship. That makes a big difference in how things can be managed emotionally. Wow, the medication cost was quite the financial burden. glad to hear that's been relieved now. You don't want added stress if it can be avoided eh. The present moment is all we ever have, so my wish for you is that you appreciate each one as it comes for whatever it has to offer... and there's always something to appreciate 🙂

Thank you. My hope is that we can all find less tension and more joy in daily life 🙂

@Scoottoots Life is full of challenges. The challenges make the good things that happen all that much better.
@@erichalitsky1285 Yup, gotta rise to the challenge, and when you do you carry more confidence and calm with you through the good times.
You're awesome. Thank you.
Kind of you to say. Thanks :-)

So sorry to hear that. It's a lot to move through in a short span of time. It's good that you are honoring your emotions around it all.

Sorry for your loss John, I'm glad you seem to be doing better. Stay strong 💪. Getting to go out for a ride always seems to help doesn't it.
Thanks. I appreciate it. Yes, riding helps clear the mind and shift the perspective.
Sorry to hear about you brother's recent passing. Take care and God bless you! 🙏
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Lost my 29 year old son in November. Still trying to process.
Oh Man, I'm so sad to hear that. Grieving can be overwhelming, but it leads to healing. Give yourself time and permission to just be in that space.
