How to fix Proform zt3 treadmill buttons not working

- I have been using this Proform zt3 almost 10 years, it has buttons issues time to time, here is a quick way to fix it.
Always get professional to help if you don't feel comfortable to do it, try at your own risk.

I came across this video after buying a used treadmill on fb marketplace. It's only three years old and was having problems with almost all the buttons not working (seller said it worked mint) becuse of this video I was able to fix my problems. I'm so thankful. Thought I bought a lemon. Now I walked away with a steal!! Thank you soo much!! Hope more people see this and try it out.

Thank you for your informative video. I was lucky to solve the problem of my Keys Fitness 6600T, sharing in case it will help others. Treadmill powers ON, I could successfully set the program, the magnet key works fine. Here are the 2 issue symptoms: the incline was not functioning and when I hit Start, the treadmill shuts OFF. Did not find anything obvious. Pushed all wires and connectors in place on the control board, this did not help. I opened the console, and after pushing all connectors in place on the console circuit board, then the treadmill started to work and my problem was solved. All the best.

I hope you see this! I’ve been looking everywhere for videos on this exact same treadmill. I have one and about two years ago I moved it into a different room and it’s never been the same since. I can’t seem to get the belt straightened no matter what I do. My husband has been messing with it for months and we just can’t figure out what’s wrong. One main problem we are having is that it pulls to the top left corner when we are not on it. No matter how many times we try to adjust the rear bolts, we can’t get it centered. Once we start to walk on it it shifts toward the right and then suddenly skips! So we tightened it even farther and it didn’t help. I’ve watched so many videos and I don’t know what else to do. I know I’m coming on strong but is there ANY way I could email you some pictures of mine? If I could see how tight your rear bolts are maybe that would help. How tight is your drive belt while the walking belt is tight? I’m desperate. I didn’t realize how desperate until this COVID19 virus! I need it working for my mental health and if there is anything I can do to get your help I will! Thanks for your time!

I can’t seem to pop open the white tab thing to get to the green ribbon? Any recommendation?
Just press and pull, there is a locking mechanism

FWIW I though this idea was BS . since the ribbon is connected why reseat it ... I FU****n works !
I have a proform bought used ... use it not hard -= semi regular ...more than most people .. went yesterday to run .... screen is blank and hit a speed button .. a big 10 and on the bottom E 940 - looked around for codes on the net ... ZERO help .. I saw this vid and some other sites on lame and so so suggestions .... on a whim I tried this method on this TH-cam .. there are 2 ribbons on my units console - unhooked and reseated both and the unit came back to full function when I powered it up .. THANKS .. I really don't see how - unless the connections get dirty that this works .

well it did and didn't work .. yeah this cleared it then I went to run on it ... about 10 steps it shut down and gave me that funky code again ....
I didn't have any codes, I guess mine was only connection issues
@@GammaDopplerr I looked on the net .. pulle the cover on the motor and circuit boads ... checked the speed control magnet and sensor .. the sensor is good ... unplugged sensor wire from board and reconected it .. code went away .. would turn on run for about 15 sec then shut off with code .. unplug no code looked on net ... said belt may be draging to heavy load on motor ... seemed to turn ok but ??? got out can of silicone - spraded the shit out of the deck and run it adjusted belt .. ran on it for about an 1/8 mile and it did not bog down or shut down ... so I guess to much friction on the belt and tripped the motor .... working again .. for the next 15 min LOL
It's work for me by remove and plug it back.
