What are you talking about? Pimax Crystal Light is only one third of the price!

I feel you on this, butafter borrowing my buddies Varjo Aero and using headphones for the past few weeks I have to say that it is WAY more immersive. Almost insanely different, so I think that for the future of VR and users wanting to increase immersion, I think having just a headphone jack is a good call. Not to mention it allowed them to spend money on the other awesome features
@@imblakehotz Wearing headphones over a VR headset is really rough from a usability perspective. Plus getting headphones to fit over a VR headset in the first place is an issue. There are so many problems with this. Some users prefer to use their own cans anyway, it's true. But it is still problematic by nature.
First thing many of us do is remove built in audio if we can. Many of us use over the ear solutions and built in audio adds weight and complexity. The modular approach of vr1 means that you can easily add audio and/straps. Everybody wins.
For getting to check this out hands down amazing! I so want to pull the trigger on getting a unit for RND but need to know that Linux support is there before. not for fan boy but that is nice, a lot of VR appliance applications would open up.
WANT WANT WANT....I just need it to be about 50% cheaper 😢😢 Maybe they'll have a mega sale 😊 (I wish)

Why are there _two_ tether cables? Since when did the Somnium VR1 require dual cables? I don't remember seeing that before.
Only Mixed Reality version needs a second cable.
what would be your choice if money didn't matter would you choose the x4 steam edition or the omnia1?? Thanks in advance, I now have a well-functioning Varjo x4 Steam Edition and I'm happy with it, but for the moment I have doubts now haha

I liked my HP Reverb 2 but was blown away by the upgrade to Pimax Crystal. Somnium VR1 is (seemingly) better than the Crystal, so the answer is "very very much". 😂
This two generations ahead of G2 so it's going to be a lot. And that's an understatement because aero and crystal were already a lot over G2 and vr1 is even better than those two.
What seems crazy to me is having a headset even more expensive than Vision pro but WITHOUT an M1 pc inside... It would need at least 1000 dollar price drop to start being somewhat reasonable.
The highest build and image quality on the market fully built in Europe comes at price.
@@SomniumSpaceVR I fully understand the build and image quality arr top notch, not arguing that... but claiming it's even better than apple's? I mean... (And yes I know those serves different purposes but yet, hardwarewise, it's not better in any ways). 2.5k for the eye tracking and pass-through and you have my money.
Wait, I was hoping to get my hands on the version with eye- and hand tracking, but now when checking the price I realize that it's 1000 Euro extra over the base price.. ...So my idea is basically one-shot down in spectacular flames. Man..
It's Bigscreen Beyond my friend not Beyond Bigscreen ... he gets a pass though for being an older generation and still into cool tech! I am sure this guy is older than my dad (62) and my dad doesn't even own a computer and can't do squat with tech. He would be lost in VR LOL.
seems very front heavy. maybe too heavy for a racing motion rig😢

@@artursychovI did and they say superb clarity and lighter then the cristal. however pimax cristal is not really a reference for a light headset. but beside this it really seems to be a long awaited next generation pcvr headset (compared to G2 or vive pro 2)

This headset will flop. If they want to sell it on a large scale to the general consumer, the price should not exceed $1200.
We do not want to sell it to mass market and it was never planned to be mass market headset. Thank you for watching this video :)
