Thank you so much! 😊❤️
I am almost in my senior year to receive my bachelor's degree in B-K and my plan was to go on to receive my Master's degree. I planned to actually become an Instructional Coach. I will continue to follow you, so that I can learn more about it. Thanks for sharing
Congratulations! You're almost there! 🥳 I would recommend spending time working in education before deciding to pursue your Master's. Also, depending on where you live, you do not need a Master's to become an instructional coach. The requirements in my district were a Bachelor's and 5 years of experience.
@@PreferablyPreK thanks and I have been working in education for about 15 plus years now. I was actually at one point before I decided to give Pre K a try, I was thinking of just doing something that didn't really involve being tied down to a classroom all day. I felt like I was getting burnt out, but I still wanted to be around children and I loved helping out the other teachers. A teacher friend of mine who is a third grade teacher mentioned to me about becoming an instructional coach. I had told her what I kinda wanted to do and she mentioned that, that would be perfect and I didn't even know that, that was even an option...lol. So they have them in my area, but I have fallen so in love with Pre K that I don't know think I want to pull away from that, either way I am gonna get all I need because maybe I will want to actually go on through with becoming an instructional coach ♥️. Also it's good to know that I want need a Master's to do that, because I thought I did, but I still will be getting my masters. Thanks you.
@@casance being a pre-k instructional coach is definitely the best! It's such a fun grade and since you're so familiar with it, you know how to help teachers be more successful. Good luck to you! 😊❤️
@@PreferablyPreK thanks ♥️
Oh my gosh...so happy to see you back! Your career sounds fantastic! Congratulations!!! Looking forward to future vlogs :)
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Congrats!!!
Thank you! 🥰
Good to see you here again. Please how can I apply for this type of position cos I don't want to teach as a full-class teacher? hope to hear from you again.
Hi there! Thank you! 😊 These types of positions depend on your school district/county. Since I live in Houston, the school districts here are large and instructional coaching positions are available at almost all schools. I got lucky that positions opened up specifically in our early childhood department which means I only work with pre-k teachers vs at a campus where you would work PK-5 and have many other responsibilities. I needed 5 years of experience and had 7 years when I applied. I know Head Start also has similar positions too.
How many years did you teach before transitioning to this new position? Is there specific qualifications for the instructional coach position?
