There are so many 3D filament manufacturers in India. And telling only 2-3 manufacturers is not correct information. And many are rebranding these filaments with their brands and reselling
Also 3D Pen is a toy for fun and creating a new category of hobby craft for kids. Most of the printers that they sell are imported from China. Did a brand collaboration to sell in India.
I guess these guys are just selling Chinese ones

Mr Piyush, you must research and find info on 3d printing community. We are based on opensource ideas and hobbyists will never stick to one brand in terms of filament. 3d printing is less restrictive compared to normal inkjet printers in terms of replacement parts and consumables.

Why Piyush said they were not decisive? They stated their ask and then told them if they can have both piyush and Aman. Now it was Aman and piyush's turn to state their investments.. what is the mistake of these Entrepreneurs of not being decisive??
I think he wanted them to focus primarily on one product, be that the filament or the pen. Since they presumably took a long time to decide and still ended up not coming to a singular decision (hard to tell cause of the cuts), they might find it hard to kill off product lines that are creating loss or may find it tough to make hard decisions fast, which is an important part of business. Hence, I think he backed out. Note I'm not necessarily supporting his decision or am against it, just explaining.

People who work on anything related to molds and hardware know how important a 3d printer really is. Yes it's flimsy, can break easily but it all depends on the designer. Some people don't care about it being weak cause they are for tiny usage and people who wanna use these for big robot bodies or project for example - they make simple moulds, fixtures with no joints down to a literal screw which cant be found anywhere to help their structure. Clearly they are making money so there's no point of the market being disrupted. Moreover the need for 3d is never gonna decrease. If anything it's still in primitive stage in India.
bhai listen carefully. He was comparing 3d vs moulds for retail because the founder said that they want to make finished 3d products like lamps which they want to sell direct to consumers. Piyush said that consumers will not prefer 3d lamp over other available lamps in the market.

@@zee2213 yes, in the pitch he said that he wants to sell pens, 3D printers and finished products like lamp or vase etc through their own machines. To which peyush said that in retail people will not buy 3d printed lamps or vase because molds have better quality. After this peyush wanted them to focus on filaments and 3d machines.

@@ashkechum8409 not necessarily sir , Fdm technology may give a little rough finish given the mechanism but It can be post processed. SLA and SLS technology can generate quality outputs for the specs too
what he said 3d printer is not for prototyping though there are different types of printner although what they use is the cheapest printer which is the great to learn about the dynamics of a real 3d Printer though what they didnot tell is that is their whole printer is automatic or not if not automatic then it is very difficult to print a object

Honestly, this pitch was quite dope. The investors just didn't realise that India has a 3D printing market. For them, this technology was quite advanced and full of risks for them to actually invest. Hoping they must have actually done good. 3D printers can actually be used quite well by Boat for making headphone cases and other electronic items. 3D printers are used in quite a wide variety of fields.

Piyiush was right it's a business of filaments not the printers if they have to be successful they have to follow HP model.
It’s more of printers now.There are very less ppl providing proper 3d printers with good after sales service.Filament has always been cheap and the price keeps comming down every year they should focus on printers more than filament
3D printers are not the future. It will be disrupted by advancements in 3D CNC machines and builder robots. Anupam and Peyush know this, that's why Anuoam went out and Peyush told them to go in filament business.
Well i've used WOL filament and yhe quality is subpar. The winding of the spool also is not very good alot of knots within the spool.
