    I have cerosiss of the liver non alcohol. I am 66 years old and have been fighting this for 3 years. I go every 6 months for blood work and mri. Then go to my liver specialist for the results. It's an ongoing struggle but with God by my side I'm doing good. So glad that you shared what you have been through and what you are going through. You may be helping someone that is going through the same thing. This wife, mom, grandma and great grandma isn't going down without a fight. Hang in there. God bless you and be with you.

    Depression is a Real Beast!!
    I personally believe that many many people are silently suffering through it right now. Thank you for sharing your story. I recently quit drinking. I’ve been extremely sick and in agony since March 23’. Inflated Bile Ducts and who knows what else is wrong. It’s extremely debilitating. I hope you feel better real Soon!!💞

      @bartstarr2371 I did spent a week at an overnight rehab. Then daytime rehab for substance abuse 7days, then 5 days , then 3 full days, then 3 half days. Now I have no cravings, no thoughts, even at parties, dinners where the drinks are free flowing, a diet soda is just fine

    Thank you for sharing your story. Came home from hospital yesterday with a "bad liver" diagnosis... for my husband.
    He's resting comfortably.
    Meanwhile I'm combing the Internet so as to learn what his diagnosis really means.
    Your video is the first "one to one" that I've stumbled upon.
    Prior to it I was already terrified from what I was finding , wondering if we were going to be able to do anything about it! Your video gave me hope. You've gone through a great ordeal so far, however your casual approach is most admiring and reassuring.
    I'm sorry for what you've been through however your positive attitude will get you {and the rest of us} through it!
    "Everything is gonna be alright" God bless.

      Thank you for you comment. I’m sorry to hear your husband is going through it. Every situation is different. There are different levels like compensated and decompensated cirrhosis. Decompensated means it’s not performing its duty correctly anymore. Key things are high protein diet, like 6 smaller meals a day and limiting fluid intake and salt. Staying active is important. And it doesn’t have to be a lot. Just getting out of the house. And staying focused on small goals and doing thinks that keeps the mind active. I build legos 🤷🏻 but staying positive is most important! Just remember tomorrow may be a good day! 😊

      I have a friend going through the process of trying to get better. I’ve been watching a lot of stories similar to this one. Many do not mention what diet changes they made. I’ve been encouraging her to avoid salt/sodium, sugary foods and processed carbs and to walk as much as possible. But since health professionals just told her not to eat canned soups and not to add salt to her food, she thinks I’m being extreme on what I suggest she eliminate or add to her diet. I heard on a video about Liver Health that Milk Thistle and dandelion Tea could be beneficial and her doctor said she hasn’t heard of it but does not think it will harm her to drink a cup. Am I wrong to encourage a strict low sodium, low carb diet? Did you get better by eating anything you like? I want to support her the best way possible and not encourage her to eat better if that isn’t a necessary part of the healing process. At this time, she is less yellow, her stomach has gone down a lot but still large compared to the rest of her and she gets very winded walking around her small apartment.

    • @Madocthevindicator

      @carladay7084 They gave up on me, told me to eat whatever I wanted because I was a dead man anyway. I ate whatever I could keep down and have never restricted my diet. In my case, alcohol was the problem and I 100% never drank again. I was deathly sick for a year, ate mostly trash with high sodium and sugar. I'm sure a healthy diet would have sped my recovery but my Doc told me that herbal remedies were useless. Don't drink or eat excessive sodium or sugar, exercise as much as you can and pray. I never believed them and decided I would live and I'm still alive. I hope your friend recovers.

    I was just diagnosed with primary liver cancer on my 43rd birthday,I wasn't a drinker.i think I'm going to be dead soon because I have almost no quality of life and I too was always very strong and had the same problem with loss of strength.im a retired machine/railroad electrician and this one factory I worked for,I was exposed to EVERYTHING from asbestos to mercury and worked as an exterminator as well so mine was due to chemical exposure.im terrified as I live alone too and one morning soon, I'm not going to wake up and I know it.again,thank you for sharing your story.if anyone sees my comment and thinks I can live let me know as I have almost no support system except my other half as all of my family has passed away except one person and she can't care for me as she's too old herself and doesn't need me bothering her.sometimes I pray for death

      I’m sorry to hear this. It is a tough thing, I hope you can get a transplant. As far as being alone, I was for over a year. I met a friend that has become like family and willing to help. I wasn’t expecting that. So you never know what may happen. Also I was given 90 days to live, that was 14 months ago. So another example. But you can’t give up. What if you give up but miss the help you needed because you gave up? Keep fighting. I know it’s not easy. But you don’t know what’s around the corner.

      First things first. 1.) And this is for all of us: Go to God repent of all your sins with true intention to stop. No l'm not saying your sick because of sin. We all have to keep our slate clean. 2.) Ask God to heal you and give you a purpose in life that lifts Him and people he'll send you to. 3.) Read the Bible every day. Not one that belongs to any religion, but one that is straight unchanged Bible. My son had his miracle, as an R.N. l've experienced them. 4.) Be positive. 5.) Start reading the new testament. Read one Proverb a day that matches the date you read. There are 31 Proverbs. When feeling down read Psalms. 6.) Play worship music that elevates God. Praise God everyday snd frequently. God bless you abundantly ❤❤❤

    I got acute liver failure and alcoholic hepatitis and also mrsa blood infection back November last year, went to the hospital for 5 days IV antibiotics, it's been really hard up until about 2 months ago with the muscle wasting and fatigue, diet is key, they tell you low salt but I have hyponatremia so I eat about 2 tsp of salt everyday and the best thing you can do is a 72 to 90 hour fast, only water and salt. You'll feel like a new man. After the 5 days in the hospital I never went back or been to a doctor, they wanted to operate I said no way. So research fasting it really helps. Good luck. Jeff-

      If I fasted i would pass out. I have to consume a lot of protein. Fasting would cause my heart to stop. • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can be a very confusing time, all situations are different. A high protein diet is super important, low salt. They will probably say keep fluids to 1800 ml a day if I remember right. But staying positive and finding purpose is the best thing he can do. Things will change. He may not have as much energy. The main two things to watch for is confusion and slurring speech. This is caused from ammonia getting to the brain. They normally give meds to help this. Lactose is a laxative that pulls the ammonia from the body and the pill xfaxin protects the brain. Some places may call it an antibiotic. Smoking or vaping can increase ammonia. The other thing is bleeding from things called veracies, veins that should be in the esophagus, so they will do scopes to check but that will take some time. If he has a GI doctor ask to get a referral to a hepatologist (liver doctor) they are best. Watch for fluid on the stomach and legs. They will probably give a diaretic pill. But it’s a lot and you won’t get it all in the same day. And in the right situation he could have years. Don’t believe google. They told me 90 days that was 2 years ago. Sorry there’s so much here. I’m just trying to simplify it a bit. Is he home or in the hospital?

      I have 3, they suck lol but hey it could be worse. And they won’t do surgery because of the risk of bleeding out and infection. I just have to deal with them. I have a binder that for the most part holds them in during the day. But it doesn’t always work 🤷🏻

    Hi 👋 I would like to know what your diet is like.

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      High protein diet. A lot actually. I don’t eat out. Light salt. Vegetables, well for me canned green beans ( hey nobody is perfect) 😂 I avoid things that have little value to what I need. My liver doesn’t process protein properly so everything has protein in it for me.

    • @RandallGlatt

      @Redneckkenobi Straight protein is hard liver. I think you should eat as much fat as possible, Especially avacado. I lost my fatty liver by going keto

    only really is 7 or 8 shots a night. doesnt seem like much when you look at it like that. Or a 6 pack of beer. I would think a lot of people would have a 6 pack of beer most evenings. Some people can drink heaps and do that all their life and still make it to thier 70s, some people drink not so much and it eats their body away. Alcohol really is a stupid thing and I think people selling it, including the government should feel guilty and ashamed..
