    TThough I agree you shouldn't feel ashamed, you may notice a lack of sympathy or compassion from many people. Unlike conditions like cancer, which elicit concern and well-wishes, cirrhosis of the liver or liver failure, often associated with alcoholism or excessive drinking, does not typically receive the same response. I drink heavily for 30 years. but it was during the last 10 - 15 when I was drinking almost a handle of vodka every two days. Towards the end, I was never sober, except when I was passed out. It's not so much that I regret the drinking, but I do wish I had gone to a doctor sooner and had an ultrasound. I think if I had known where I was headed, I wouldn't have gone down that road.

    Thank you for your videos Neil. I have not been officially diagnosed yet but I had an endoscopy that showed a stomach bleed. I also had an ultrasound that showed 3 liver lesions and a dilated bile duct. My lfts were all normal except for albumin 3.4 and ast was 19 and alt was 14. I have been having liver pain and lots of nausea. I know that you're not a doctor, but you seem very knowledgeable. I am having an mri but not until the end of October. I am pretty certain that they will tell me it's cirrhosis. Needless to say, I am very stressed about it.

      I’m sorry to hear that, keep fighting and never give up. Try to find something that you can focus on that can bring you purpose and hope, maybe two different things. And there are many stages to the liver so even if it’s bad news, it doesn’t mean it’s over. I was given 90 days to live in August 2022, two years later I’m doing way better. This is not a one size fits all disease so keep hope 😊 and my thoughts and prayers are with you

      Hey man, I saw your comment and wanted to let you know it might not be all bad. I’ve been a pretty heavy drinker for the better part of the last 15 years. Recently I went in for some testing, not related to my liver, for a hernia. This invoked a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. While my liver was not the focus of these tests, it was scanned and reviewed by the doctor. They said my liver is fine, I don’t even have fatty liver. I was relieved. All of my bloodwork, including liver enzymes was normal. The MRI and CT did pick up a lesion on my right kidney, but upon further review they said it was a simple cyst, nothing to worry about. They are actually pretty common in the general population. I don’t know your specifics, but I hope things are OK for you.

    Thank you Neil, for your thoughtful information. You are doing very well making it this far. I hope you get the neurological help soon. Neurological issues are frightening - for example having intense pain with no physical damage related. We are so used to pain being a response to injury, when it can just be a "wiring" issue in the brain! Where I live I am also very alone, all the friends I made here left or died, my closer friends are people who are far away. Contacts often struggle to relate to that level of alone... I also have my sweet pets. ♥ Best wishes from me here in NZ.

    Among all the diseases humans suffer (3.14 million) diseases of the liver are among the easiest to recover from. I speak from experience. I was Dx w/ Primary sclerotic cholengitis (PSC) . Avg life expectancy is 2 years from Dx. I was given scripts for morphine and percocet along with full unemployment benefits for life. I politely told my GI doc to go fuck himself. I purchased books from the best physicans in every practice and studied my ass off. 8 years later im still alive off morphine and percocet. Special thank you to Dr. Paul Saladino, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Steven Gundry, and Dr. Ken Berry. To the creator of this video make a change, be aware and learn. Yes the physican you see will monitor your liver enzymes and run MRIs every 3 months and order colonscopys every year but those test wont change anything. Only you can cure disease. Fight on friend. ***not medical advice*** contact your physican

    You need to drink at least two liters of pure water a day and consume milk thistle capsules 3 times a day. In your case, the diet should be based on antioxidants, lots of raw vegetables and no fats, fruits should be very limited due to their fructose content. No carbohydrates like potatoes, rice and pasta. This way you will heal, it works for me having everything to lose. A hug and encouragement in this new stage to live with a new meaning that you find, that is the most important thing.

    I was diagnosed 14 years ago. I take no prescriptions for it because the doctors say it will do no good. HOWEVER, on my own, I have changed my illness from Cirrhosis TO Fatty Liver, and daily, it is IMPROVING. There will be those who want to pull their bootstraps up to ask me HOW I did this……..while the majority will give up and succumb to this nasty illness. My way costs nothing more than what you typically do daily. But, son, it is your choice. With your being at the end stage, I will not guarantee you super-duper fantastic results, but you WILL at least have positive results. Your choice. Your choice. Today is 9-8-2024.

      @@artiyadav4434 Wow ! FIRST PERSON TO EVER ASK ! Thank you ! I wanted to lose a little weight…….maybe 35 pounds. So, I went into this ignorant of how it would affect my health. First, my diagnosis is N.A. Cirrhosis. PLUS, type 2 Diabetes. So, personally, I chose eating Keto PLUS intermittent fasting. I started with Keto. ONLY meats and LOW carb veggies. PERIOD. This meant no breads, rice, pasta, FRUIT, sugar, even DIET sodas and EVEN “ Sugar free “ stuff ! After a couple of weeks gouging on steaks, salads, and tons of low carb veggies, I added the I.F. Honestly, I thought I would die the first two weeks. Then suddenly, I wasn’t starving anymore, and I was fine with it. I did this religiously for maybe 5 months. What happened was that not only did my extra weight FALL off, but suddenly, my doctors were looking crosseyed at me wanting to know WHAT ON EARTH I HAD BEEN DOING, BECAUSE MY LABS, MRI, AND ESPECIALLY MY FIBROSCAN WAS SHOWING THAT I WAS TURNING AROUND FROM MY DIAGNOSES. I SMILED and changed the subject. I KNOW how these doctors are, so I just let them stew ! THEN, when very clearly my body was turning itself around, VERY SLOWLY, I began to cheat JUST a little ! I now know how much and what to eat……SO THAT MY FIBROSCAN and my diabetes STAYS ON COURSE. I have learned how to experiment with eating Resistant Starches. Today, my A1C is low, my Cirrhosis is now Fatty Liver, and the BEST part, is that I have it totally within MY POWER to be 100% HEALTHY ! My power, BUT for my cheating ! I never cheat to the point of anything going UP………but, I do cheat enough that I prevent MYSELF from being 100% WELL. Ask any questions that you don’t understand. Ask me 24/7/365. I am ALWAYS open to helping. As for TH-cam, I go to Dr. Berg and to Dr. Ken Berry for information. Blessings !❤️

      I never had a tips procedure. And no nothing you said is accurate about what I have. Look up Achalasia. That’s what’s causing my esophagus issues. It’s a 1 in 100000 people have it. It’s rare. It is possible to have more than one condition. I do appreciate your comments. Imagine feeling like you had a baseball stuck right behind your sternum and it’s being squeezed and the spasms are like being punched in the diaphragm.

      @@valerielock2374 unfortunately there’s no cure for Achalasia, they can cut the opening but they won’t on me because of the liver. It’s in the cells, not from anything. The swallowing problem started before the liver. Just wasn’t as bad.

      @@valerielock2374 no lol. They took a look at the scan and said it was too far gone. The biopsy showed the whole liver was bad, how I’m doing as well as I am Is a mystery. I don’t have the typical stuff that others have. There is more than one way.

    The liver doctor gave me less than 24 hours to live on February 6 of this year. Needless to say I'm still here. As far as the cirrhosis is concerned I can remember some of the symptoms that manifested 4 years before I was diagnosed. Like you I blew it off and didn't seek medical attention. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

      write that you are scared about your liver on a a little note. Tape it on the back of your refrigerator or somewhere were you will forget about it. Years from now you will rediscover the note and you will get peace to know that you were and are fine.

      It doesn’t bother me, I know if I’m going to put videos out I’m going to get all kinds of comments. But thank you! It’s been difficult to find a place over the phone. Most places want 3 times the rent in income. But I haven’t given up 😊

    I had NASH cirrhosis and autoimmune chronic acute pancreatitis in my late 30’s and when I was 44 it got really bad. I developed an infection and encephalopathy and was in a coma for weeks. I was too sick for transplant. Had to go through rehab to walk, shower, eat before they would put me on transplant list. Once I was on the list, I got a liver in 5 days. It was a lot of up and down but I am still here and turning 52. Liver disease is no joke. Prayers for you and everyone else here suffering. ❤

    Hey man just curious, how much did you drink daily and for how long before you developed cirrhosis?

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I drank for two years, I didn’t drink a drop for 13 years before that. First year was beer, and probably a pint a night the last year. My liver was already failing before I even started. Liver problems run in my family.
