  • Hello, just wanted to give an update. It’s been a while since. New developments in my health and anther hospital stay. I just want to say the medical staff at SLU is amazing. And took the time to search out the cause of the problem.

      Thank you for that. 😊 the swallow issue started as food getting stuck. Then water would not even go through my esophagus and it would come back up. I’m waiting on more answers but it looks like a different disease caused the liver and the new thing. Does he have a hepatologist? Or just GI doc? I would search out a liver dr if you haven’t. Ask your GI for a referral if needed. Good luck to you and your husband

      It is tough but with liver disease, at a ER there job is to triage and assess so I kind of get it

    I'm so sorry your going through that but I guess on the bright side their kind of getting to the bottom of what caused it and it wasn't alcohol. That makes a huge difference because than you don't have the doctors and nurses looking at you with judgement in their eyes like they do Tyler. I'm so glad your getting back on track to, you've got this my friend. 😊

      Don’t be fooled, the train derailed along time ago 😂 and with the alcohol thing. I didn’t care for a long time. I just wanted to get better. But even after over 2 years of not having a drink they still ask sometimes . I mean they can check the records because there’s lots of alcohol testing done and every one has had 0

    Some kind of autoimmune hepatisis is what im being told i may have. Not sure what will happen. I have been told to get a live donor. How do you do this when friends and family are not an option? Should i go for a straight liver transplant and avoid all the symptoms you get or should i do Tips and get sick and get a liver trnsplant as a last option. Im confused. Right now just have ascities as main symptoms which is hard as is and digestive uneasiness. Would you consider a live donor transplant? Your thoughts?

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That’s a tough one. Most hospitals don’t do live donor transplant. Don’t know if you are in the US, but here there’s only a few hospitals that do. Plus our insurance has to approve it. In order to get a transplant also you need to have a high enough MELD score. I guess if all that wasn’t needing to be considered and I had a live donor that knew the risk then yes. Every situation is different. They can cure hepatitis now. So I don’t know your situation. You said may be hepatitis. If they aren’t sure why are they talking transplant? Are they just saying to look for one that you may need one? I’m sorry only you and your close loved ones can answer that. But if I was told right now we have a transplant for you. I would do it

    A week and a half, next video to tell us what caused the cirrhosis? What century are you in? How do we find that again?
    I am sorry you are so sic, sounds terrible. Have heard of sugar cirrhosis damaging up to 40% of later liver cancer.
    Just don't name the video, what may have CAUSED, and not be able to tell us, just saying, we want to know your fight. Progress and name if tests.yhankyou.

      That’s why I said may. Not did. It was more of an update and that some answers may come soon. Because I haven’t posted a video in a while. Sorry it disappointed you. But I’ll let everyone know when I know.

      No not even close. Water would get stuck. They know what caused the swallowing problem. Dysphasia. My esophagus is being attacked by my body.
