Just got off SOTS yesterday. Week long Barcelona to Barcelona. Very nice ship. Glad to say no food issues in MDR. Service was quick and food temps were good. Had 10th deck outside balcony suite and loved it.
Love watching you guys. I’ve done many ocean and river cruises and prefer a balcony. Nothing beats sitting out there just relaxing. Unfortunately since I lost my husband I’m often solo and the cruise lines like to charge nearly double for just about any cabin.
Our favorite on Symphony is the Owners Suite. It’s similar to the Grand suite but larger. It has a dining room table for 4 as well as a large table for 4 on the Balcony. We napped on the balcony everyday on the lounge chairs. We never wanted to leave our room. Thank you for showing us the other rooms, the selection is amazing.
We like the ocean view balcony room. We are going next year on our second cruise and I can't wait. But we love the sound of the ocean and the view is everything
Had a loft (deck 17) on board the Symphony during the pandemic sailings. It’s fantastic- but there’s been quite a price increase in the rooms on deck 17. Coastal Kitchen is wonderful to have on deck 17.
That family suite is really impressive size-wise, but I just don't understand why you'd pay all that money to be looking at everyone on the decks below (and have them absolutely looking at you). I guess there's a degree of prestige where people may like to be seen in these types of cabins, but it just doesn't seem very private for that price tag...!
We were the people staying in that suite, cruising with Ben & David, and you're right that the balcony view is a let down and it doesn't feel great to have people watching you. BUT with 3 young kids in our family, we still loved the balcony and got so much use out of it. We all spent way more time in the balcony's hot tub than we did in the ship's pools and the kids absolutely loved the climber out there. Once in a lifetime experience for our family, but I'll be happy to have the privacy and beautiful ocean view of a balcony room in the future.
@@kateewutt2387 Ah, hello! Thanks so much for leaving a comment - really appreciate it. Also, really interesting that you'd happily revert back to the 'norm' after experiencing this. Hope you had a fab cruise!
Overall amazing as always! Would love to see chapters on your videos...especially with these kinds where you visit so many cabins. Hard to keep track of where each cabin starts/ends. Otherwise; amazing content and reviews of each cabin; which is typical of Ben and David! You both do great work and have an amazing passion for sharing the best cruise tips, destination ideas, suggestions, and honest thoughts. Can't wait to see your next adventure :D

I’ve only ever cruised on Princess, and we travel with friends. We’ve always managed to book ocean-facing balcony cabins that are adjacent (but do not have adjoining doors), and we have the balcony dividers opened so that we can all be together to share a glass of champagne together on the balcony at sunset before going to dinner. I’ve been enjoying your videos so much, having only just found them recently and am binge watching! I love watching, and find them informative and very entertaining. Thanks for putting such helpful information out there. It’s so fun seeing all of the different cabin types on the various cruise lines. This December we’ll be cruising with the usual friends, but will be on Celebrity, which will be new to me. Can’t wait to see how it compares to Princess! Next year we’re doing things a bit differently. We are doing a Viking Rhine River cruise with my brothers and sisters. Very different from the Princess cruises I love, so we’ll see how it goes. Thanks for all the great content!!
Fun fact about the movable desk by the vanity mirror; moving it allows you to get closer to the mirror to see your makeup application better 😀 LOVE IT!
I’m doing a cabin crawl on Harmony of the sea December 3rd. I can’t wait. We booked a Central Park balcony room and I’m looking forward to it. We have a lot of chances for a regular balcony over the water. Our friends we’d traveling with has on across from us.
Our 2nd cruise with NCL, we got to check-in and were told our cabin had been changed. When we got on board, we found we had been upgraded from a sea view to a balcony. The reason was because our original cabin had room for 4 passengers, and the upgrade was only for 2, and they needed the space. The only problem was that our luggage was delivered to the original one (we went looking for it, and moved it ourselves).
We did a cabin crawl once thru a Cruise Critic group. Lots of fun. We ended in a penthouse suite, they had snacks and we all brought bottles of wine for tasting!
We always have a balcony cabin….would love a junior suit or higher! Love these cabin tours…that double story cabin looks beautiful.. We love to sit out so a bit more space really appeals to us……👍🇬🇧
Hi, I just came across one if your videos and I haven't stopped watching your videos yet. I have fallen in love with you both. I've never even considered taking a cruise but I've got to now because if you two. You both are so fun and amazing. I've truly fallen in love with you both
We always book an Oceanview balcony. It's one of those things that once you have one, you don't ever want to be without it! I'm sure someday we'll do a shorty in an ocean view (window) room or an inside cabin, but we've planned on doing that twice already, and both times we ended up bidding up to a balcony. 😁
I cruise with Princess Cruise Lines. I am a big fan on the Suites. The Suites come with a lot of perks from dining to preferential boarding and departure.
Hi guy's. Perfect video as always. Loved seeing all the different cabin's. We do like to book the suites when we can. That said it's always a balcony at the very least. I agree, don't think I would like the balcony facing another balcony. I want to see the Sea. Thank you and have a great day!
Just love you boys!! I look forward to Sunday so I can watch your newest videos!! Great cabin crawl. Going on Caribbean Princess in 52 days, and another cruise with the entire family (16 of us) in January. Choosing what ship/line now.
We have only cruised on 4 Ocean Cruises but would not cruise without having a balcony. The last cruise we were on the concierge level and loved the extra perks. After all, it’s time to be pampered. 🌊 🚢
You guys are the best! We were just on an Alaskan Cruise. Would have loved running into you guys! Wishing you all the best. Maybe we will see you in a future cruise! All the best!
We've always booked a balcony cabin. Hubby sleeps while I sit out on the balcony early in the morning...even if we're in Alaska! I would love to travel on this ship!
Great video as always, my favourite would have to be the loft. We could never afford it but you can dream. We have only sailed with Princess cruises and always book a balcony cabin. Although we don't spend huge amounts of time in the cabin if we ever wake up during the night there's nothing better than looking at the ocean. Can't wait for the next video.
Iam doing a 14 day transatlantic on Oasis next April Miami to Barcelona can't wait. Iam a longtime loyalty to Royal cruiser. Love your amazing channels and ship video tours on cruises and travel. I always book balconies. My favorite cruise team you are
I love the big balcony cabin. We usually do a ocean view but our last cruise around Australia we did a balcony and absolutely loved it so our next cruise will be a balcony.
FYI: You can put any magnetized card in there. It doesn't have to be your cruise card. Want to come back to a nice cool room? Replace your cruise card with an old cruise card or debit card....even hotel door cards will work.
Great video as always! I did notice luggage left out and taking up lots of space in many of the cabins. Is under the bed not accessible for storage (similar to DCL)? That would drive me crazy!!
We booked an interior for our very first cruise but I woke in the night from the ship swaying and felt very disoriented in the pitch black so have to have a balcony now for fresh air and natural light.
We are traveling of Harmony of the Seas May of 2024 and Royal Caribbean is picking our balcony cabin and I really really hope we get a Central Park or Board Walk balcony room! I get super sea sick watching the water and would love to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun and not feel green!
Just saw video of this ship in Dry Dock by CHRIS WONG. He showed several of these cabins being fixed up. Interesting to see family suite twice in two days from never knowing it at all.
Thanks for this, guys, we are booked on this ship and sailing soon. One question ... are you able to get a kettle in the balcony stateroom? I don't think we've been on a cruise where we haven't had one on arrival, but your room didn't have one. TIA x
I love your cabin out of them all , the kids bathroom is great though . It would be good to see accessible cabins on another of your tours if possible? It’s for those of us in wheelchairs etc as even an inside cabins are larger than usual and different from ship to ship .
Oooh! Questions about the TVs on cruise ships today. I had heard that certain ships just have regular flat screens, which means you can plug your digital items into the back, in order to turn it into a screen for your devices, or to hook your video game systems into Is this really a thing?

And also the noise level. I’m sure watching the aqua theater show once or twice as fun but maybe on other day as it gets to be loud
Hi there! We were the ones in the 2 bedroom aqua theater suite. Inside the suite was quiet. I am not going to say that during Hiro we couldn’t hear the show, we did a bit. However, this is the entire reason you book this suite. There is nothing better than sitting at your bar on your deck enjoying snacks and cocktails and seeing that AMAZING show. Or even laying on our deck leaving Malaga watching the shore drift away as the sun is setting having a cocktail. Hosting a seafood party on the deck for the incredible friends we made on the ship. That deck is the entire reason that suite is so special. As far as internet, it’s not like being in the office and can be a bit spotty, but I accomplished completing payroll for my companies from the middle of the Atlantic. Ben and David it was an honor to meet you and have you tour our suite. Mark and I enjoy the content on your channel. Happy sailing!
