Frank G Plus they served under Oda Nobugana who united half the country by the time he died at 37 by the hands of a traitorous general then Tokugawa took over after he avenged Nobugana
@AceLOL21 The Hattori have a strong bond to tokugawa google Hattori Hanzo he was ieyasu tokugawas personal friend and his ninjas were his bodyguards and hattori hanzo once saved ieyasus life with his ninjas
Historically speaking, Tokugawa won with every clan still very much alive. Some have been transitioned while others were dissolved but still the Tokugawa won.
@OrangeGriff Actually the oda clan won at first, but just after Hideyoshi's death ( Nobunagas successor ) the country was thrust into turmoil again as Hideyoshi didn't have any real successor himself. It was after this second major conflict that the Tokugawa Shogunat was established.
Oh yeah, definitely. Ive come to realize that 30 seconds before battle ( basicaly before units clash and lock in combat) you have to adjust A LOT of things, from formation, to a quick yari flank for the enemy's cavalry and so on... Dat pause button is a godsent at those moments, ha xD
There many conspiracies on who Shinobi were but they did say if a clan had one it was most likely a highly loyal and trained retainer or an employed mercenary type-ish.
Ludevic Burkitt Long ago in the year 600 through the year 1100 a clan of elite warriors was born in Japan. They ruled for 300 years understanding how to manipulate the shadows, breathe fire, and use explosive bombs. They were the master of assassination and espionage warfare. But as the waring tribes of Japan grew and power was disperesed amongst 100 clans. A war broke out between the first samurai and the ninja. The samurai were the ones that hunted them down and exterminated every single one claiming them to be a dishonorable clan, deceitful, and untrustworthy. After that the age of the samurai began in the year 1200. As time went by in the year 1400 through 1600 they appeared again. This time they were soldier who ran away from battle, some say ninjas were born through desertion of the battlefield. Others say they were followers of their daimyo. Others say they were a group of abomination. No mater the reason they were used greatly to deceive, to spy, to sabotage, and to disgruntle armies such as the story of how a ninja slipped into the palace of tokugawa ieyasu and his troops and planted the banner of toyotomi hideyoshi high on the castle gates.
+ShinXari Tokugawa clan used ninja alot. Hattori Hanzo, one of the Tokugawa's damiyo,is a ninja. He's the one who saved Tokugawa clan from being defeated. By using ninja to find where Totoyomi Hidenari's mom was, Ieyasu was able to force Hidenari surrender by attack that side of the castle. He also saved a lot of hostages such as Tokugawa's daughter So yeah, Tokugawa's ninja was a ninja troop which was controlled by a samurai ninja
+Vương Trần Minh Hattori Hanzo was a samurai of the Hattori family in Iga. He may have hired ninja from his family, and saved his master's life, but he himself was no ninja.
By luck tho. He never dared to disobey either Nobunaga or Hideyoshi when they were alive. What's more? Hideyoshi was a surname less peasant (the lowest of low in Medieval Japan) before he got recruited into Oda Ashigaru forces.
A lot of important micro in battles if you do not pause. Try playing as Taked and rely on your horsemen and not just on yari samurai. Micro wins the day in those battles.
Crob75 Oda Nobunaga was assassinated with no heirs, he was succeeded by Hideyoshi who in turn died with one heir and Totugawa Ieyasu served as his regent, but ended killing him when he grew older to keep the power
@mcdudly00 Depends...did you torrent it? Because the same thing happened when I used the torrented version. I think the cutscenes are missing from it. The steam version has it though.
Turn 2: Great Clan destroyed: Tokugawa
Every single time... and they won the Sengoku Jidai historically!
Luke Danger lol
Same.
They are bordering the most mighty clan in the game, the Oda.
didn't they win in real life?
"Our enemies are many and envious"
*shows 4 friendly clan and 1 hostile clan*
tbf, it is the Oda
In a sense "you bring 1 yari ashigaru with you they bring 2 better one" then yeah
Allies in Total War are worse than enemies, they drag you into every war in the early game.
Tokugawa: No need for war, we can take power by diplomacy.
Creative Assembly: Not today _"Great Clan Destroyed"_
Now there's no hope for a peaceful settlement, Japan must descend into *Total War*.
Best ninja faction in the game... and then the Hattori came along...
Historically, Hattori clan was employed by Tokugawa.
Tokugawa is a nice clan.
+Matti Sareela They were the ones who crushed the last of the rebellious daimyo.
Frank G Plus they served under Oda Nobugana who united half the country by the time he died at 37 by the hands of a traitorous general then Tokugawa took over after he avenged Nobugana
Domainz77 That was also a great accomplishment.
@@Domainz77 No it was Hideyoshi who avenged him, Tokugawa take over after Hideyoshi died
too bad in the game they have worse ninjas then other clans. They have less ammo although I cant see anyone be able to use all that ammo in one game
@AceLOL21 The Hattori have a strong bond to tokugawa google Hattori Hanzo he was ieyasu tokugawas personal friend and his ninjas were his bodyguards and hattori hanzo once saved ieyasus life with his ninjas
" We have Imagawa friends "
i lol'd
0:44 the subtitle tho
that ninja throwing knife thing on the general was so funny he seemed so chill with dieing his face hardly changed expressions lol
This pretty much summarises every time there's a top job vacancy at work.
Business is a small-scale war of economics
Instead of warlords we have CEOs and instead of footsoliders, stakeholders
@@AestheticSloth420 Lol assasinate the CEO hahahahha
Tokugawa Ieyasu became the Shogun, enough said.
The point of video games isn't to strictly follow the historical narrative. That would be boring, knowing exactly how things turn around every game.
They became shogun because of the help of the oda. Technically Ieyasu stole the throne of the shogun.
Historically speaking, Tokugawa won with every clan still very much alive. Some have been transitioned while others were dissolved but still the Tokugawa won.
Literally Toyotomi and Oda clan carried Tokugawa to victory 😂
@OrangeGriff

AI Tokugawa be celebrating survival on turn 5
When i play Oda, this clan take kind of 900 troops siege my castle with full of 3200 troops....
@XXGDUBSXX it was Tokugawa and Toyotomi, the Uesugi served the Toyotomi but then surrendered to the Tokugawa
Subtitles at 1:29. Guy's obviously a masochist.
Agent of Bureaucracy as faction's nickname from me.
Tokugawa are a vassal of Imagawa. How can they be friends?????
examples being ireland, german states, ottoman north africa, etc.
Tokugawa has damn difficult begging.Rebels and enemy invasions.
Not quite every clan some families were assimilated and a very few minor houses were crushed.
Such a superb game
They aren't ninjas. They are Samurai...
They're Samurai Shinobi to be percise.
There many conspiracies on who Shinobi were but they did say if a clan had one it was most likely a highly loyal and trained retainer or an employed mercenary type-ish.

@StebanJorge well technically, the green provinces are the imagawa allies
@SuperFreikorps vassals are allies, but they are unequal, they serve their lord. tokugawa serve the imagawa.
But you gotta buy the Hattori... I'm cheap, the Tokugawa make do!
tokugawa are deffinitly my favorite, ninja's, and metsuke for all :P
Uh sir?
It might be better if we waited until the other guy was gone before giving the nod to your agent.
tokugawa actually won the war in reality.
By luck tho. He never dared to disobey either Nobunaga or Hideyoshi when they were alive. What's more? Hideyoshi was a surname less peasant (the lowest of low in Medieval Japan) before he got recruited into Oda Ashigaru forces.
Tokugawa for the win!
metsuke is always watching....you!!!
0:15 Rave Party!!!
@SaintBroken oh ok thank you thats makes things more clearly now
It's a different narrator than the one that does the intro of the other clans.
so I just beat the tokogawa campaign. didn't even know there was an intro and an ending. game would be good if it werent so damn buggy.
I believe it was the Tokugawa and Uesugi clans that were the final ones that fought it out for the shogunite of Japan.
I don't know why, but the voice is different...
they declared war on me
+GABRIEL BATTUNG You must have had shitty diplomats.

@RoyaCanadianInfantry You try bribing them? :?
@izvarzone They aren't, if you actually watched the whole video they show each clan's specialty.
so the tokugawa is the ninja clan
@izvarzone They aren't all the same, check out the Hattori intro.
best intro is the one for the hattori clan (i think its hattori what are the ninja clan?) its DIFFERENT to the others
i see in real life the tokugawa had won but i always assumed the oda where very big thanks to nobunaga can anyone help me with that
Crob75 Oda Nobunaga was assassinated with no heirs, he was succeeded by Hideyoshi who in turn died with one heir and Totugawa Ieyasu served as his regent, but ended killing him when he grew older to keep the power
Thing is, their Kisho ninjas are the worst in the game...
Tokugawa campaign = get lose on 2nd turn
@mcdudly00 Depends...did you torrent it? Because the same thing happened when I used the torrented version. I think the cutscenes are missing from it. The steam version has it though.
Meant micro -.-
@blackbelt807 Tokugawa is the clan of deception, not of ninjas
Campaign start
How do you get all those cut scenes? I don't have any of those and I bought the original game.
@DaHuntsman1 ok sorry my bad
@StebanJorge are you color blind?
Es muy diferente al de age of empires 3
@mcdudly00
me too
what intro?
Too bad all intros are same, they just changed voice-over and that's all.
Japanese accent is awful!!
The accent in the first shogun is better than this.
