Hi Paul, My wife and I have been watching you since the beginning of your videos. There is a kid that is 17 years old. He is an excellent student and honestly the most well behaved teenager that I have ever met, and I am 70 years old. His mother is his only parent and she has done an amazing job at raising her kids. His name is Adrien and although he doesn’t have much experience at repairing vehicles, I do and I am teaching him as we go. I have 60 years of experience in all aspects including body and paint, smog tech, certified welder, fabricator, electrical, and truck builder. This kid could sure use a couple of good breaks in life. This kid doesn’t even fight with his sister! If you met him, you would honestly be impressed. His mom doesn’t have much money, and I’m sure he wants to go to college next year. We likely will be helping with whatever we can as we have in the past. He is currently working on an organic vegetable farm, and various other jobs. Please consider him as an appreciative recipient of your free truck. Thanks, Ron😊
Love the comment, hope you get it for him.
Good on you for helping the lad.
Sounds like a great kid! Where does he live?
I support this 🫡
This sounds like the perfect kid for the truck. And you sir are a great man and role model for the future generation. Well done keep being a great person.
😅@@darrendoolan4906
I'm already a huge fan but I think giving away the free truck to a kid is the coolest thing you've done.
Love you Grandma Lolly! Just the right amount of grit to keep those boys in line!
I am so happy I decided to give you the (not so) free truck Paul. It was fun watching you fix er up. I am sure with all the time and work you have put into it will make someone very happy. Thanks for taking it off my hands and giving the Ole girl a new life.

Love Grandma, straight to the heart with the things she says.😊
I love how she said "those things" she said made him a lot of money. 😂
We love Grandma keeping them all in line. And sharing wisdom!!
I always went to fram until watching a comparison all variety, cut it apart and weighed each component and material made with, seeing only a fram had paper in the bottom and I shanked and refused to use fram again,
Wix is my go to now, never change my oil brand, Pennzoil is my job security turning wrenches at my 20's rebuilding engines and replacing, neglected preventive or just putting to add on top old oil recipe for grenade it.
Worse slug I've ever seen.
Castoroil I've had great success.
@@scottnovak8903and this is the edited version? Yeesh
Grandma Lolly is not mean. She's matter of fact and knows your Modus Operandi. Listen to her. Thanks for the wonderful video.
Don't pick on grandma Lolly you'll have a butt ton of folks that you'll have to deal with!
Amen! Some day I'm going to stop by on my way through Utah just to meet her. I won't even make it to the shop. Just stop at the front office and hang out with Grandma Lolly
Grandma is the best, I just realized how much Ben looks like her
Give Jace as much grief as y'all gave Hunter about not carrying a knife.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw that.
EDC Jace !
I'm not convinced that Jace didn't 'forget' his knife on purpose... fans are gonna fill his mail with new knives for the holidays. 😂
@UnholiestJedi You hear that Jace? Gibbs rule #9. Follow it.
I love Grandma! Her speaking truth is keeping y'all humble, and getting comments is a bonus. Lol.
I love it when grandma comes in and gives y’all grief
I look forward to her entering the room! We need more❤
Wood truck is the hands down favorite for me. Its just a cool truck that never sees the love but kicks ass.
Quote of the Day! "Someone with intelligence has got to be in charge." -Lolly
You Know It, Lolly! Keep 'em in line.
That's a killer deal. I live in South Australia, that truck here would sell for $15,000.00 all day long.
Some kids going to love the free truck. Awesome idea to give it away.
Up in Canada, that truck would go for 6-8k easy after Paul fixed it. The body looks like it's almost perfect. Before he fixed it, probably still 4k.
Lolly adds color to your vanilla world! That lady has spunk, moxy, truth, and widsom! I can't wait to stop in and meet her, and you other characters.
Jace missed the wasp nest at the hinge of the driver's side door!!! 🤣 Thanks for sharing, looks like a winner of a truck. Also, thanks to grandma for keeping things running smoothly 😁
Truck name ? Silver RAT-O ! 👍. Grandma got you figured out on transmissions 😂
He learned from the best.
Great minds think alike
Grandma Lollly is a Hoot! Great marketplace find Paul. Not too bad of a fix. 🤙😎
Fram filters! During parts apprenticeship years ago, we cut apart a bunch of different brand oil filters. Fram had the least filtering material, and some rust inside the case.
Wix! Go with Wix! Project Farm also did some filter testing and was against Fram.
It's High-flow, adds a quarter of one horsepower 60% of the time.
They are the cheapest, most ineffective and poorly made oil filters EVER. Plenty of proof on the interweb nets and also speaking from 28 years of experience as an auto mechanic.
We cut some apart at the parts store I worked at as well. Wix was the clear winner, the house brand was rebranded Wix, so easy sell. Zero comparison in quality 20 years ago. I'll use a Fram cartridge in the wife's van (with synthetic) because that quality is still good, but not the spin on style if I can avoid it.
@@kstricl we found the caterpillar filters had the best filtering, if available for your vehicles.
New rat truck name - Verminator - Your Generosity to others is admirable Paul. Ty for taking us along
Good to see grandma in the shop !
Good Evening Fab Rats, I have been watching you'll for a year now. You guys are genuine, this is regarding the free truck. My son is 18, he is homeschooled this is his last year, he likes 4 wheel trucks mainly the older models. He loves, camping, hunting, fishing loves the outdoors. He's a pretty good young man, he wants to be a wildlife officer in the future. He hangs around with his cousin, we have to drop them off when they want to camp and uses on X for location. 2 weeks ago they went camping 30 degrees, sister dropped them off 15 miles away from home. They texted around 8pm, sister had to drive back to pick them up in the middle of the night. They heard usual sounds, yelling and screaming in the woods, deep in the mountains. So they packed up and walked 3 miles to meet his sister. He needs a get away truck and graduation gift. Thanks Paul and your wife, your children have good character that's why I watch.
I like how you encourage your children to pursue their interests. It's great to see how they've grown since the beginning of your videos.
I think new truck needs to get turned into a recovery/chase truck. SAS it, utility bed, lights, moderate lift on some 37’s, all the tools you need to work on customers cars, ect. This can be the support rig on larger/technical jobs for the tow truck!
You have to love how Cooper says that we can do it we got this yeah just a little bit back two inches you got to love Cooper's whole line of bull ship as he holds the camera and watches you do it and he talks like he's got his hands dirty
We all love Grandma!
Lol , you need to start every episode with a Grandma discloser !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍😍😊
Interior looks 90% of what my last truck looked like. Including the same tear in the seam on the driver seat. I had a 2000 Silverado until two years ago when it was stolen and totaled. Love your "Give back to a deserving kids". Keep up the great work.
Dang Paul your mom razzes you just as bad as my mom does to me! That's love right there and don't let anyone tell you different!!!❤
Having grown up in a family that does the same, I can relate to that sentiment.
Grandma lolly i love it when she's given it to ya it's hilarious Paul she loves her boy mine funny or aggressive lol
The power of Grandma! Keep them sharp Lolly!
Grandma Lolly always adding laughs and sharing info on Paul! Love her! Well Market Place came through on this GMC 6.0 super-cab this will make a great everyday driver to replace the Free truck. This just goes to show that a broken flex plate can ruin your whole day! Love the plans Paul has for this truck it looks like a replacement for the wood truck? Good video with good content and Tom pitching in to help as usual. Thanks Jace you did a good job cleaning it up. Nice to see Graeden.
GrandMa Lolly has your number Paul! "Does it have transmission problems?? If you touch it might!" Hahaha!
I have the same truck, just Chevy flavor. It's name is BUC-EE. Bought it in Texas and first stop was Bucee's :)
That’s really cool of the Fab Rats to give a truck away to the youth of America. 🍻🤙🏻
We love you Grandma!!!
Grandma has been watching a long time. She would know. And isn’t afraid to let us all know.
You guys and Grandma were in true form today on this video. I chuckled more than a few times with the antics going on. LOL
HAHAHAHA! I love GMa Lolly! New Tee shirt slogan: "Someone with intelligence has got to be in charge"!
My Son has a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 with a 454 in it. It already has a body lift on it when he bought it 3 or 3 1/2 in body lift. He bought a new 6 inch suspension lift for it and he and his buddy put it on. He bought 4 brand new 42 inch Super swamper Boggers for it. That truck goes everywhere.and he hasn't broke a cvc axle yet 😂 I was surprised what it can do it is awesome
I love that extension bar you have for that rachet, What a cool truck. Go Grandma you tell em who runs the show LOL
Thank you Paul and crew for the update on how things are going there in Utah !
Love, grandma Need to see more of her. She is funny.
Man I wish I was closer. My son would love that truck. Hes had such a tough go of it. between his cancer, then his thyroid he pretty much lost all of his high school days to chemo and radiation. Right now he has a Jeep WJ but being in the Rust belt it is on borrowed time! I'm sure whoever gets it will love it!!! Paul yore a good dude!!
I literally count down days when I await your videos Paul, ya guys are awesome and idk just genuinely make some peoples day better just hanging out and watching your content. I was a huge MORR watcher but you guys replaced them asap just because the content seems pure still. I’m gonna be emailing about the free truck because I have a guy in mind who could use… thanks for the show FabRats!
For me ive learned more from this channel than from 22 years turning wrenches made me smile when I didn't want to saved me from doing things i would normally do between yall matt and robby saved my life more times than I can count
Add a couple of commas and the world is your oyster
Great score.... 👍.. looking forward to seeing what's next phase 2,3 and 4... 😎👍
Grandma gets an Oscar, she is the world's Grandma.
Gramma Lolly is on point with the smart ellic remarks!!! Lol 😊
Some kid is going to have an awesome Christmas!
Wait...no burnout?! Fail! C'mon Paul! Don't make us file a complaint with Grandma Lolly! 🤣😂
Grandma is so OG! Gotta love her.
Jace.. Always clean everything from the top down so as things fall it’s not making what you already cleaned dirty. That goes for you as well in the shower we start with our head and work down.
We need a full video with Grandma Lolly telling her life story and giving us all some advice! Please!
Fram filters are the worst! But they are a nice orange color.
It's the small things in life that makes a man happy. When Paul realized the cruise control works he was as happy as a kid on Xmas morning!
Grandma kills me with her comments. Just awesome!
Grandma Lolly is a hoot! A wise old bird if I ever heard one! What a kind and thoughtful act, giving the freebie away to a young adult male or female who would appreciate it and deserve something special in their life! Thank you for giving back! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Fab Rats should create a segment, Time for Wisdom / Advice with Grandma Lolly. or something along those lines. I miss the "Time For" segments.
Everything that Paul Cox aka FabRats touches is taken to the Next level of BadAss !!!!!!
Plus FabRats inspires alot of us to take our Dream's into a Reality.
You all make fine family friendly videos thank you
Mrs. Cox (senior) is always a welcome sight. Always great to show good looking women on your videos.
Grandma Lolly needs her own show! Love her.
Looking forward to see what you do with this truck. The GMT800 platform is one of the best generations of GM trucks. Nice find!
I have personally used the Fram oil filters for years and I have never had a problem with any of them but you just need to know how to take care of your motors and change your oil every 3 thousand miles and you will not have any trouble with your filters Charlie kretschmar Glendale Arizona
Paul and crew, yall are awesome! Wanting to give a kid the free truck is awesome!! Some kids gonna lose his mind when he realizes he has a sweet set of wheels! It will be a great teaching/learning experience for whoever gets it! Gotta say the new truck is sweet! By far, my favorite generation (99-07) of Chevy is besides the square bodies obviously, your plan for it sounds like a good time!
Good Granma, no filter...hahaha
Got to hack for your cabin filter. Next time you go to replace it take two or three of your favorite scented trees 🎄 set them on top of your filter and you will have fresh air whether you're running cool or warm air for least 3 months
Thank you guys
'needs to be fairly close to utah, preferably 500-600miles' sounds insane in the UK. Fairly close for us would be 10 - 20 miles 😀
I love your Grammy she is a hoot good video also😊
Couple weeks ago I picked up a 05 Escalade EXT 272k miles, absolutely runs shifts perfect. $3000. Pairs nicely with my 04 Denali that has 196k miles. I.M.O the early 2000 GM trucks, SUV are the best! Love em!
Definitely! I have an 04 Silverado, 232K miles, runs & shifts like new.
Good morning everyone 🤙🏻😎
Thats the best feeling, when you turn the key and it fires right up
Paul does a lot of new projects to keep himself from working on Michele's JEEPSTER lol
I grew up in a family service station. We installed hundreds, if no thousands of Fram filters. Never a problem. I still use them to this day. It's more important to change your oil at 4000 miles than it is to worry about the brand name on the filter.
"I know what's wrong with it.....ain't got no flywheel in it!" Great find!!
Never did 😂😂😂😂😂
I agree about the Super Duty as my old time friend is a hard core chev guy and his 94 GMC is in need of its third set of Axles and is already on its 2nd Trans and he has only had it about 5 years.
Don't tell the Taco is going away!!! That's the build that brought me to your channel years ago.
Same here
lol how did you miss the taco in background at 8:30 and at 10:40 with the 44 out, wonder what it’s getting? a super duty or just the ls swap and axle out of the way 😂 anyways cooper is doing a good job and has a ton of knowledge for a young man, keep up the good work FabRats and especially grandma cracking the whip
@@jamesredfern4878 @4:40 he mentions the Taco might get replaced. Hence why I said it.
Also yes, loving the addition of Coop. At least he helps out with no complaining, unlike Hunter.
My son is turning 16 on Thanksgiving day my family has never been in a position to give our children cars i love what your family does its very cool my son knows we still aren't doing to bad and would love a happy birthday birthday from the fab rats
If you're close to them - they have a FREE truck to give to some kid !!
That's right Grandma's is in charge of the children's playground.
The Name of the white truck should be “Flex” read to the end. Four reasons. It’s the part you replaced flex plate, it’s what you are going to improve, it’s easy to spell and remember and lastly it’s a cool name. Bernina Jeff
Very lucky find! Looks like a solid rig
Grandma is the best, don’t ever take her away please 🙏, we all need a little love and support even if it’s negative 😂, be blessed with your family always ❤
Paul, there's hard hats out there that look like ball caps......
Noggin knocker protection for short guy mode....😂😂😂😂😂
Fab Rats hard hats, their next new product for the store and the shop!
They also make inserts for your existing ball caps.
They have them.
I love the tow truck but 66 Chevy shortwide my favorite. And of course the firebird.
Grandma takes no prisoners. Thanks.
Simple green to clean the rubber floor. Works great.
Grandma is the best - ya'll need the adult supervision. How's Michelle? Feel like we haven't seen her much lately and I know she's been dealing with her loss.
Always great when you get a good deal! Good find!
Don't you dare get rid of the Tacoma. That's an original to the channel that started it all... refurbish it and give it the love it deserves like Matt did to the Banana. That is the flagship of your fleet along with the tow truck.
It's an old project 🤷♂️ if he's bored of it then he should move it on. Working on projects just because it's what the viewers want is the death of a channel
Time in the video 21:07. I bet it fires right off. It's a vortec v8, they were born to run 😎
Fram filters and regular oil changes=winning.
Grandma is the best she makes me laugh every time 😂
Envious on how clean stuff there. Here at home in Ohio, the rockers, cab corners would be gone and the frame would be crusty.
Smoking deal! A GMT800 K2500 is a pretty desirable truck. Sold axle swap and a doubler would make it awesome. I have no problems using Fram on older engines. I usually use the Ultra or Tough over the Extra Guard if I can. Been using the old orange filters since the early '90s though.
Buy ARP brand bolts for the exhaust manifold, and then you don't have to worry about bolts breaking again. Why didn't you put in a new rear main seal while you were at it? Replace all the oil cooler lines after you remove the IFS before putting in the super duty axle.
Enjoyed this adventure, journey, experience? What ever it was, thank you.
All the "cat-eye" chevy's have names already. There's a sticker on the backside of the dash surround
I got Heather and Adolfo 😂
You can keep the center of gravity lower with a 2nd gen Dodge Dana 60. There's a guy on the gram who's made kits mostly to put Dana 44s under Tahoes to build more severe duty overlanders.
Why aren't you more famous?!
ive been running 99% fram and quaker state on my stuff for 30+ years ( cause im old now) never had an issue with them. never smoked a motor. always get over 200k on my trucks with suburb/civilian driving.
