the updated info i found says 240ml. i had the same issue when i got mine yr and half ago. only problem i have is leaky lower end. gear oils always leaking i think its from the plug
I want a motor a 6hp air cooled 4 stroke off of amazon but i heard where if you lay them horizontally when in the car trunk they will leak gas or oil. Yet again i heard on youtube that you can lay them on one particular sid. My question is does anyone have real experience in this? It's one of those"lawnmower" type motors. I cannot upload an image but if you google." sea dog 6hp air cooled 4 stroke motor," it'll lead you to an image.
I just received mine. Gear oil is 90wt and motor is 10/30 As I come off idle it is puking oil out of the air filter and sucking it into the intake causing the smoke and raw oil out of the exhaust. I bought off FB marketplace and I can’t respond to the seller. I filed a complaint and we hopefully get a refund.
I believe the oil level is just too high. Sounds like the extra oil is going through the oil sump vent in the air filter. Drain some oil and clean the filter and I think you're good to go. Another thought is to look into the type of oil you have as regular detergent oil foams up without an oil filter to strain it. Use Non Detergent SAE 30 for most air-cooled engines as it does not foam up.

It has gear oil in it run it first but top off. After first use drain and replace.

Approximately, how much motor oil did you put in... the dipstick has no real marker.

I just had the same issue these japs could have had a more clear markings on the dip stick
