Re: Go Pro issue. From experience, I doubt it is a problem with the actual cameras, more a problem with the micro SD cards they are recording on. For the amount of read/write functions you are performing on these cards (daily content, downloading, etc.) you need to be looking at purchasing industrial grade micro SD cards. They are definitely worth their money. Kingston industrial, San Disk High endurance, WD purple surveillance (as they skip a lot of error checking and just record raw footage). Hope you guys catch this message and I absolutely love the content. Regards from England

Excellent suggestion. I believe most consumer grade SD cards you can get from any big box store is pretty limited in read/writes before they start acting a fool. With what these guys are doing they need to invest in a higher tier of memory card.
I just dealt with this with my cousin's SD card he uses in his game camera. Its an old 8gb card that has probably seen 1000 or more read/writes and it finally shit the bed.
Agreed. I've had cheap SD and USB sticks die from too many Read/Writes. Higher quality ones seem to last longer. I pulled a WD Blue hard drive from a security DVR that died after a year and put a WD Purple. The purple has lasted a lot longer.

I agree. As badass as it is to watch 7 second cars and 20k engines, it's unrelatable to most of us.
Might be fun to watch a short video that they throw together, but they have to deal with the hours and hours of headache of an engine that just blew up. Again. And again. And again.
Contrary to the memes on the internet, those 4.8s and 5.3s don't really hold up long-term to abuse without proper prep, and said prep costs money. Just like racing and being hard on stuff costs money. You don't just get to buy a $300 engine and beat on it repeatedly for years with zero cost.
That's why they eventually moved away from the junkyard stuff, it was a waste of time in a car that had potential.

As much as I love the crazy builds like Leroy, mullet, ruby, and the nova, a “cheap and normal” build like the blazer is so god damn fun to see again. Reminds me of watching updates from when Leroy had the blower

Strange 9", double adjustable shocks, whatever drag brakes, billet specialties, manual valve body tci th400 with a brake, converter in front of it, caltracs, the leaf springs, carbon drive shaft...
Those parts are far from cheap.
This blazer series is so refreshing! Nothing against any of the other cars, but it’s just different and nice to see how far and hard you can push ole rocky

Guys that Blazer with George at the wheel is money. People are going to line up to see him take a rip on any track you go to and then buy merch. His excitement and energy about the whole thing is incredible to see. Throw a good long block in that thing with forged internals and good heads and let the big dog eat. The paint after Sam polished it is amazing too.

The issue could be running no hood with that top Mount throttle body. High speeds almost create a negative vacuum by blowing by top of intake. Put the hood on or a big filter and try again

Back in the day I used to hit my nitrous while doing my burnout to purge it. It always seemed to work pretty good. I would run 11.03 at 123 with a NOS Big Shot plate set for a 150 shot. It ran that number every time, it was like a bracket car. It was a stock bottom end 302 with the forged pistons, out of the box Trickflow heads an a X303 cam. It had a 650cfm double pumper carb, built c4, and 4.30 gears in the 8.8 rear. It was fun like that, but I got sick of filling the bottles. So I twin turbo it back in '96 when every body used to say turbo's did not work on V8's, lol now look at them today!

My guess is it isnt a GoPro problem, rather, a memory card problem.
Solid state memory only has so many reads/writes before it starts to go corrupt.
Highly recommend replacing the cards frequently and using high-quality U3 (made for high-res/4k speeds).
I have read the same, my question is do you think the vibration of the solid mounted engine shortens the lifespan of the go-pro and card both?
@@indianaslim4971 I would not be surprised. Any soldered components do not love continued vibration/abuse. That being said, they are *technically* built for that exact type of abuse. I always like to verify that the device is being given the best ability to perform before blaming other possibilities.
Using cheaper memory cards (and using the hell out of them like im sure they do from all the videos and traveling) is far more common in my experience.
