I love this clip because it's so casual and you kinda see Allen kinda thinking. And he keeps doing that thing he's so good at - just throwing something out there - including mistakes - and making them into little themes and motifs. And he's got the chops to not crash when he does it.
This is the kind of jazz that drives me nuts. The drums are mostly cymbals and the guitar sounds like a teenager practicing his scales. This “shredding”has no rhythm or melody. Bah.
