I really like how you always point out where the diecast components are located. It would be good if you could also add their weight info. Anyways, interested to know which bandai soul of chogokin figurines you consider your top 5?
Gordian is an iconic robot during its time and the concept is very innovative even till today. Rather than "gattai" (combine) to upsize like most robots, it suits up the way like Iron Man suits up in the Hulk Buster. I won't be surprised that the Hulk Buster concept was inspired by Gordian. :)
I ordered this at price Yen 39,500 when PO was issued. Still waiting for it to arrive. After watching some reviews, I really regret buying it at such a high price. Only Garbin has die-cast, while the Proteser and Delinger are plastic for such a high price. Not too excited for the delivery now.
long time no see Charles, good to watch ur review again! used to own the original gordian back in the day and they used to have numbers on their chest flap...still on the fence if i should get this set...
People are way too biased on this release. Having owned both the Cms and now this one. The Bandai version is definitely a great homage to the original DX Popy. Big, chunky etc. Cms ver is much smaller, and 'unfortunately' (for me at least) looks too much like the anime!! Yes...but for once, it's not a good thing as this combiner is for the most parts awfully drawn in the show. It looks very 'flat' and bland ( to save on cells drawings as there are 3 robots to animate, plus the main character, the tiger etc etc....). Also, get the Cms/Marusan ver at your own risk, see how long it'll last. Got the 1st Cms ver on release, 8 months or so later (of mostly being displayed, not played with), the inside clicky joints for the right arm just snapped, the plastic is brittle. It doesn't feel sturdy at all, and kinda floppy. Only thing I prefer about the Cms ver, it's got more internal painted details (mostly black in the 'doors' & some metallic silver where the missiles go etc). For the Bandai version, I think pepole are p'd off that the 2 smaller bots are 97% plastic. Had they been more diecast I bet the opinions would truly differ. But the price would've been even higher. If you can pick it up 'New' for ¥32k including EMS shipping. It's worth it imo....I'm rambling....

Gordian team is an awesome and underrated robot. This is more a powered suit than a manned mech, very original

Finally, the king has returned. Thank you Charles, great review.
Thank you for your continued support :)
i wish the SOC line would consider doing Baxinger and Goshogun
nice
Charles!!!!! Great review. Hope all is well fellow collector!
Thanks David. All is well. Just busy with my 2 year old boy for now, hence less time for toys and video reviews. :)

I skipped it, but it does look fun! Metallic blue on Gordian looks fantastic!
just got it for 26,649 JPY...
That's a very good deal. The price keeps going down for this piece. Perhaps because it is not very popular.
@dustarian, where did you get that price from?
@@akirahojo2 Amazon Japan...
