Well done. I'm doing this as I write this but I bought a kit from Amazon. The kit comes with quality hardware but I like the idea of using thick conveyor belt for the future.
Unnecessary to grind if it's hitting side of housing a little. It will wear in to a perfect fit. I know because the four pieces tha I put on my Ariens years ago did.

Where do you find your conveyor belt or material ? Mud flaps cost alot also.
