The C-1 is a neat recent addition to Airventure. Always fun to see the wings fold! Neat to see an OV-10 too! Used to see them when I was in the military.
The HU16 and OV10 were flying low in formation over southern Minnesota Sunday morning. They did a couple of low passes at AUM as they were on their way. It was very cool to see.
A Navy OV10 is a rare bird (to me). Who knew the U.S. Navy operated them in Vietnam?were they carrier based? Was he tailgating? A beautiful pair of DC-3’s landed expertly. That C-1 Trader is so ugly, it is beautiful! Any origami lovers? What a joy to watch! Thank you very much.
Awesome video, thank you. My neighbor flew C-1 Traders. Said he landed on every Navy carrier during Viet Nam. I believe he told me this was the last aircraft that used aviation gasoline. Very dangerous refueling.
Likely -- going back to the 1970s, the Canadians based some near Victoria on Vancouver Island to fly pollution patrols to monitor ships pumping their bilges in Canadian waters.
If you are new to the Airailimages Channel, please remember we use ambient audio with aircraft sounds whenever possible; sometimes commercial music on the PA system must be replaced, and sometimes things like slo-mo make the ambient audio unusable. Thanks for watching!
Some of these guys should have just stayed in the Navy. Maybe the Navy could let them buy their planes with a payroll deduction plan, then when they got back to Iowa or Idaho they could keep it flying at airshows.
Yes, don't we all. The only time we use music is when the ambient audio is unusable for reasons including the presence of commercial music on the PA system, and the use of slo-mo.
Damn it to hades. Opening with a camela Harris donation ad is as bad as it gets. But the 3 minute unstoppable car window breaker is a wave-off. What a shame that air-rail images is hostage to YT policies...
Hmmm... how did YT' algorithm determine you were a good bet for a liberal democrat advertisement? That's just a waste of ad placement. Makes one wonder. Well, nertz. Hope you found something to like in the video itself.
I love you showing all these old and newer warbirds. Especially the OV-10. Thanks.
My pleasure!
I was a crew member on the C1A Trader this year!! This was my first time to Oshkosh Airventure and it was AMAZING!! I will definitely be back!
Good for you! The Trader is a welcome sight.
Thank you from the people that are unable to attend this event!
Yes, indeed! Thanks Mr J! Been 20 years since I was there
My pleasure! Glad you are enjoying these videos.
Yes, that's me... And yet can still smell the High Octane from memories of being there...
@@terrancestodolka4829 smell what you want! This on poor management and training
Great to see Jim Tobul and his F-4U4. She’s such a gorgeous bird!!! Lots of history in this video!! Thank you soooooo much Mr. Johnsen!!!
You are always welcome, Rob.
Never gets old to watch these birds fly and land....
And thanks for watching!

Great stuff as always, Fred, thank you! Wish we were there with you!!
Thanks! It's fun to share AirVenture with as many viewers as possible.

Thanks for adding that.

Chino has a bunch of them, probably where it came from
OV-10 was originally a Marine Corps / Navy concept. See also: Convair Charger.
If I remember correctly, the Navy only had one squadron... the Black Ponies.
@@Chilly_Billy great book on that squadron, the Black Ponies, flew in support of river and SEAL ops in the Delta.
No tail hook on the OV-10, so it had to be land based.
Wow--a two seat P51 Mustang followed by a Corsair.
Magnificent video. Not only the flying, but the warbirds during their taxi right past you. Such beautiful footage. Thank you! ❤❤❤❤
You are very welcome. Thanks for your comments.

Good catches! Didn’t we see Canadian S-2s coming and going through McChord back in the 1980s?

@@airailimages interesting to learn that!
Hey Fred, the AC-47; SPOOKY-71 was just recently aquired by the CAF from his previous owners.
So much to see here!
Love the Albatross and OV10. For its size i think the OV10 is one of the noisiest machines ever.
Yes -- what a pair to taxi! Thanks for watching.
Magnifique !🤩
Thank you!
NICE!
Thanks!
do not need music when you have the beautiful sounds of these warriors of the past..

the Albatross is great. I wonder what is happening to the Coast Guard one at Scottsdale.
Do you know about the sr-71 blackbird jet?
👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Much prefer the sounds of the engines rather than the parlor music.
