Listening to Chris’s story reminds me of this quote...
“The worst part about anything that’s self destructive is that it’s so intimate. You become so close with your addictions and illnesses that leaving them behind is like killing the part of yourself that taught you how to survive.”
    - Lacey L

Right?!? I think guy needs some introspection…. He clearly has a guardian angel or something…. Not everyone is so lucky, better pay attention and learn to appreciate the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth chances that god has given you. Obviously you are still here for a purpose so quit spitting in gods eye and maybe put the pipe down and figure what the fuck that purpose is…..

    Man
As a recovering addict going on 13 years I totally understand the cycle Chris is on. You can clearly tell he has some recovery tools. The hardest and, most important part is to apply them to your daily life.
The lifestyle is as addicting as the drug itself because, they go hand and, hand. It took me giving up the lifestyle on order to finally give up the drugs.
Getting off drugs is abstinence and, recovery is a whole lifestyle change. Took awhile for me to connect the dots.
Keep trying Chris and, don’t give up 5 minutes before the miracle happens
    You’re worth it🙏🏿

Stop and talk with a homeless person for 5 minutes. It’s weird to feel like ur invisible, like ur not part of society. People that show some respect n humanity helps. Hi there...💜
When I worked in the city, I'd make care-packages to give out to people at night, on my way home from work. It wasn't often enough, but I did it when I could. I didn't have conversations, unless I brought something to give, because I didn't want to invade people's space otherwise, because it felt disrespectful to just approach someone, when they probably just wanted to be left alone. Even when I gave something, I realized that some people didn't want to talk, and I would respect that. I spoke with those who wanted to speak...
I don't work in the city, nor go there anymore, since the pandemic started.
I want to wish you well, but I feel like my words are empty now. I know that you are in a tough/bad/hard situation, but I truly wish that you could make your way to the other side addiction, and to a better life...🙏🏻🤞

Chris man you can get clean. You can be the dad you want to be. You can make something out of your life. The only person that is stopping you from making that choice is you. I’m a recovered 15+ year poly substance addict. I’ve been addicted to every drug under the sun and a few that probably aren’t. We are talking oxy, fentanyl, meth, coke, crack, I’ve smoke black tar, I’ve mixed and matched cocktails of prescription medication (opiates and benzo with booze and speed and coke), to put it plainly I was just about as bad a addict as you could be. I still am. The only difference is I’ve learned to respect myself and want better for myself, and I’ve refuse to accept that I cannot improve my situation. I’ve been clean since 2016. I have a job, I’ve mended all the relationships with my family, I own my vehicle out right, and I’m currently planning on opening my first legitimate business. I’m not special. If I can do it then so can you Chris. Anyone can. You just have to quit giving excuses and do it. Take that step, make that call, fill out that application…. Just do it man. ✌️💚🙏

The sins of the parents, follow the children...😢
This was just beyond depressing to watch, so I can only imagine what he's living with in his head...
"No matter where I go, I bring myself. I gotta realize that. Wherever I go, *I'm* gonna always be there. I can't run from me. It's taken me all these years to realize that."
This poor guy needs mental health counseling so badly! Everything that goes wrong in his life, stems from the childhood trauma of abuse by his stepdad, then those adults who used him for crime...and every situation kept adding more trauma to mess with his head. The fact that he told his story, shows he wants to talk, and is hoping for help...but because he's tried so many times, and it did not work out, he's expecting to fail/scared of failing again...
Chris, if you read this, hang in there...
I hope that you can get counseling. You really need to start with that. Too many layers of a hard life is blocking your progress. You have to start unblocking that with help, so that you can get better.
I hope that you are able to find the support you need to help you through this process, and that you see your way to a better and happy life...🤞🙏🏻

These videos have truly changed my life and the way I look at people. Being the mother of a meth addict is so hard. I’ve finally had to cut ties with him for now. But I know he is struggling and there is nothing I can do till he wants the help. The cops have been called to my house so many times now I know them by name! All because of meth rage and my son threatening to hurt one of us, or actually choking his sister! I just can’t do it anymore! So sad because my son had so much potential! He had a job working for Trane air conditioning! Making good money, he had his own place, a girlfriend, his own truck! And he threw it all away to start shooting meth! His excuse for shooting it was that he didn’t want to mess up his teeth! 🤦🏼‍♀️ he wrecked his truck, his girlfriend left him and he got kicked out of his house. Meth addiction is horrible! It tears families apart!
I feel so bad for this man! It’s like he didn’t have a chance in hell with his mom, and step dad! Mothers like his don’t deserve children! That’s my opinion! Because with a good mother his life could have went in a totally different direction! But can’t blame it all on parents either, because my husband and I have never fought in front of our kids, we’ve been married for 35 years, high school sweethearts! We did everything we could! Sometimes they just choose the wrong path! I’m praying for him! 🙏🏼 God bless him and I hope he finds his way to sobriety! And a chance to be with his son again!

gettin off a boat with a pocket full of cash...100% relate my friend and strip clubs and meth such a lethal combo. My first time back after a 119 day trip on the M/V Green Bay and I blew thru little over $43,000.00 in cash and ended up in a rehab in detroit where the doc told me "first thing u do is stop going to sea" lol. we all have different paths but our problems are never that unique, whats worked for me this time (incase someone out their is in a similar boat and looking for answers) is amitryptaline (especially the new p2p meth fucks ur sleep up so bad) to get my sleep back in sync, vivitrol monthly (not for opiates but bc i always link drinking w uppers, reduces the craving) injections, full stint in IOP (Inpatient would have been safer), removing myself away from the places i used, and meetings but not the ones i could hide inside of. last part was real important. and also these interviews mark does, watching them has helped alot too. Everyone has challenges but not everyone’s challenges are equal - upbringing, abuse/trauma, class, race, sex, family life, poverty, genetic factors, access to support, IQ etc. Even just down to brainwiring and the percentage of addicts that have undiagnosed ASD or ADHD.
