The Chinese women who was killed was with her twin daughters 5 years old.
It is so sad for the the twin daughters to witness her mom being shot dead !
Tell Chinese government to take care of this.
If you're right that's truly horrible
Beautiful!

Wheres the husband ?

Death sentence for 14yr old. No space for rotten apples.
May wong is practical, condolences to the victims and their family
The kid has mental problems so lets understand that
All these gun control laws advocacy debates without addressing the context are nonsense.
The existing laws ALREADY control firearms ownership, but the majority of gun crimes in Thailand are not caused by firearms permitted under the current legislation. Weapons used are usually ILLEGALLY obtained anyway, including in this case, which gun was an illegally modified blank-firing prop gun.
It's like saying people do illegal drugs, so we need to ban narcotics - which is ridiculous because they're already banned.
Downtown Bangkok isn't the problem for Thailand in terms of gun violence. Its the areas down south near Malaysia populated by malays that have had a active insurgency and drug cartels actively working. Basically the mexico of Asia. You can ban guns, you can make them has hard to get as possible but the criminals and insurgents will always find a way.
If guns (and drugs) are smuggled illegally, that means their customs are not doing a good job of checking. Thailand has one of the highest mental illness and suicides rates in the world. Not suitable for people to own guns.
When things like that happen, Thai people are always outraged at first but they forget just as quickly.
Forgiveness
Criminals dont care about the law. How would restricting civilians from self defense help the situation??
They say the boy is mentally unsound?
1) The boy knew how to get a gun.
2) the boy knew how to handle a gun. (Load, draw, unlock and fire away)
3) Boy knew who to shot and kill. Foreigners vs local.
4) Boy knew to kneel and surrender properly without resistance calmly.
After you start discharging bullets from a gun and saw the damage it does. Saw the victims you killed. You will get hyped and will not that stable and calmly surrender when police came. ( with all the chaos etc)
This boy seems trained. Well, Thailand politics is a mess now and its relationship with the US and China isn’t that great. Who knows? Some govern could kill millions of innocent people using a test tube of white powder and call it weapon of mass destruction.
They are using this as a smoke screen to control Firearms.
I also see the same ploy with the assassination of Shinso Abe.
Parents is primarily should be investigated. The kid under the care of the parents. I think he normally see guns in their family…
How did a 14 year old boy got his hand on a gun? Thailand is slowly turning into America
*Condolence to the Chinese and Myanmar national who was shot dead point blank*
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🤣
Working for Assumption uni Thailand, chance of being killed is certain. Abac installed in campus including the school office, tape voice recorder. Abac posted teachers’ conversation on social media for years without teachers’ awareness. This resulted in robbery to AU teachers. Abac never refused installation and hiding of recorder in the office assigned for two persons.
How do the university address safety precautions involving violence, particularly from firearms on campus, from both outsiders and students?
Nothing got done before, what make you think the government will do something now?
So... Are they gonna ban drag shows? 🤔
People lost their lives and she's talking about the Thai economy
Thailand needs more guns
people in uniform do make money from illegal gun trade.

Thailand is land of smiles and good food but it is also = Have Gun will Travel.
1. A man pulls out a pistol to threaten a volunteer as police officers intervene at a checkpoint in Samut Prakan early Friday. The man turned out to be a captain attached to the Samrong Tai police station.
2. BANGKOK - A former police officer armed with a gun and a knife attacked a childcare centre, leaving at least 38 dead on Thursday.
3. A brazen killing of a police inspector in front of dozens of other policemen raises questions about who Thai police really serve and protect. The inspector was shot multiple times after reportedly refusing to agree to a request by the host - a local government official and influential businessman - to promote his relative.
There, life is cheap and you be “cheap” too if a bullet kill you. This bullet is less than S$1.00
It is the first time in the country that the perpetrator is a civilian and also a minor. The two incidents prior to this one involved an active army member and an ex-police officer who had easy access to firearms.

What a hope with Thailand ministers?
For example currently Police general is a minister of education. 😂😂😂
We should stop jumping to conclusions. We still don’t even know where the killer got his gun.
The past 2 attacks happen cuz of a soldier and police who just got fired.
Heard that gun belongs to his father. Not sure how true
His father is rich, he studies at a nearby international school
From the released photo, it's an illegally modified blank-firing gun - which is already, well, illegal.
That makes this entire debate utterly nonsense. It's like saying people do illegal drugs, so we need to ban narcotics - which is ridiculous, because they're already banned.
@@nikujaga_oishii I dont think people are debating about legality. The issue now is the severity of punishment. Not sure about Thailand but in Malaysia, discharging a firearm is punishable by death. Firearm possession is life imprisonment. I doubt that kid modified the firearm. Possible his parent get someone to modified the firearm. Anyway, not enough official info so no point speculate
Thailand have a long history of gun violences. 😟😟
damn I have been to Thailand 5 times as a tourist this is shocking news...
Is she serious, one gun attack in Bangkok and "Nowhere is safe" what a ridiculous thing to say.....
Fully agree with you. And she is off topic as well. A lone 14 year old with mental problems carrying a make shift blank gun going to one of the busiest mall in Bangkok is not about gun violence but poor parenting. Each time this May women comes on for CNA I just turn it off cos half the time she doesn’t know what she is talking about.

Buying a gun in Thailand is easy as long you got a money, same type of gun as the boy using is around 35,000THB.
What? where can I buy this then at that price? You can’t legally because Thailand has strict gun laws.

NOPE
In America, this is just another Tuesday

They should install more cctv especially roads leads to hotels & complexes. These are tourist Fav spots for relaxing & shopping. Nowdays cctv are operates by solar panels so no issue about electricity. Infra system is better.
Who is going to bear the cost ?
this isnt singapore whereby everything can be solved with cctv
@@bobafett5757 Thai Govt getting soo much of revenue from the tourists, why they cant bear the costs?
@@billykuanasdf9935 why you need to keep Fire extinguishers in hotels & complexes? Bcoz to save human lives & properties. That who bear the costs? So if that possible, why cctv is not possible? JFI, cctv nowdays are cheaper then fire extinguishers. We need problem solvers to give solutions not bench sleepers in the cabinet.just to say this cannot, that cannot then dont take salary, You do it now or this kinda terrorists or gangsters attack will continue. Very sad... RIP for the souls🙏🏾. You need/care revenue from the tourist but their safety is not important? You know how many ofy friends cancel the trip to Thailand? Govt should comes in to hold the law with Iron claw.
@@gunasegaran3865totally wrong analogy. Cctv is only useful for playing back incident, fire extinguisher can restrain small flames from growing.
Your idea of a cctv comes from cinema and TV screen whereby an allocated security personnel will stare at screens 24/7.
Cctv does not help with the essential of avoiding such incidence: prevention
Just make operation hello in every houses 😅 obtain search warrant with court.

How about excess mortality in Singapore running at 37%? Highest in the world. Any reporting on this?
What excess mortality? You high on drugs?
Steeple not waking up!
Gun free spaces are open invitations to these acts...just look at stats available from the US. Moreover why place this at the lawful gun owners feet? Should cars be banned because someone is irresponsible ? Should hammers be banned because someone used it as a weapon? Allow citizens to legally conceal carry (with training) and address the root of evil not the tools it chooses to use step#1
Stop blaming law abiding gun owners for this tragedy, instead focus on how the government can better secure establishments.
I was at that paragon mall during September school holiday… luckily I didn’t get shot
This is what is going to happen in Thailand after this incident. This goverment like every other goverment before will pledge action huffing and puffing like it's the most urgent issue but once the issue is blown over everything will be back to normal because the most urgent is to bring in the tourists despite everything else. People do not see that in Thailand you're always welcome and assured of a good time in safe surroundings but the reality is so far from the truth.
with weed becoming legal all over there will be more of this mess... sorry but this kind of drugs dont help in a country with so many guns

Probably, Singapore 🇸🇬 has a gun issue. Not many people have the freedom to own a gun.
😂
SG has no gun issue. It is illegal to own it. It is more safe and freedom without a gun.
@@Zayn-jc4ztAnd do you think the outlaws are following the law?? In Thailand, it's really hard to get the *legal* gun, if you're not rich you have to wait for months. While the illegal gun can easily be found online or in the countryside, there are old men who can modify BB and blank guns there.
Singapore has no issue with gun homicide because we are not a childish people who think a deadly weapon is a toy, and that freedom is owning as many toys as possible.

Bangkok became bang bang 🔫 .... too soon?
Malaysia 🇲🇾 is relatively safer because our gun laws are very strict.
In America this is just another day, with more than 50 shootings everyday. Soon Thailand will be like America, thousands of tourists going to Phuket, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Bangkok will travel by plane and return home in a shrink wrapped wooden box or plastic jar. Sawasdee khap.
They already throw us off balconies
Hysterics aren't a good idea. If you can't keep your head perhaps at least stay silent. More dignified.
Calm down. This is one isolated incident, not a gun crime epidemic. What is important from now on is what Thailand is going to do. If they implement better gun control and better ways to track guns in the country, this might never happen again. If they choose to do it like America, where guns are more important than children lives, ostensibly pretending it is about "freedom" when it is really about a childish people wanting to not be denied their toys, while not solving any fundamental social problems with poverty, crime and racism, then yea, Thailand will turn into another America.
It seems the shooter is inspired with US, because he used American flag cap when the shooting happens. However this is Thailand, not US, this is way beyond anyone thoughts could happen.
@@bebekkurus Ya the American flag cap sure is a funny thing to wear in a shooting spree in Thailand. Thats kind of like something you stage in a movie to prove a point or foreshadow something. Its definitely a way to get into Thai peoples heads of associating that flag with horror. The thumb nails for videos on this dont show the killer or anything really, they focus on the flag on the hat. Information Operation/ PsyOp? Countries intelligence agencies are known for doing much worse things to other nations, just to influence politics and control in a region. This isnt outside the realm of being a controlled event to affect the political climate/ geopolitics of the region. However, we dont know anything, its just weird.
