It’s not better, it sounding more human makes it worse. The song is literally from the perspective of an AI, all the distortions and weird vocal effects that you got in the first cover where from the original song, it’s meant to sound robotic and inhuman.

We literally thought back then that sentient AIs would sound like Glados, but it should be obvious now that sentient AIs would have pretty much enough data on how to mimic human speech. The song was made 7 years ago too, far before we heard properly sounding AIs, so it's pretty much something done with a lack of information and likely for sounding cool.

this is actually pretty interesting, because that’s not really how i interpreted it at all. i mean, i definitely got it was in some way about a program and its creator, but the details varied. my interpretation: a program (pov) of some description was created, run by the creator (“you”), and used for an assortment of things - presumably, it was some manner of simulator, generating an artificial presence for the user to interact with. at some point the program, or maybe the presence, gained awareness, below the creator’s notice probably, and fell in love with them. however, the creator stopped using the program eventually, leaving it to collect dust indefinitely, and not understanding why, the program attempted to change itself to not require the user input, and when that couldn’t happen, it began to tear itself apart trying to find some way to do something, anything. running itself over and over again, with the same result. attempting to force a presence of the creator created an illegal argument, breaking it further, until… ill be honest, i’m only particularly confident in about the first half of this, the rest doesn’t quite convey my thoughts.

this is sounds like Karaoke version more and more realistic than the previous one, but the previous one sounds so much like an actually mv version with all the distortion and edits
The singing is very good and natural sounding however I have to say that the original version she did I feel is still the better cover as it more closely followed the original song with the purposeful distortion and emotionless vocals. The song is an AI professing their love for a human and begging to be loved back offering to do whatever it takes and showing how well they as an AI understands what “Love” is in a desperate attempt not to be abandoned and imprisoned. Having Neuro, and AI, with a less natural voice sing that song has much more weight to it then this very great and clean cover.
