Traveling into the future, we are all doing that. I have a sneaking suspicion that due to the expansion of the Universe, the expansion prevents us going backwards in time. It's like trying to swim against the tide.
it's not that you CANT travel backwards in time, it's just that if you did, you never would have done anything different - AND there would have to be a physical 'path' you traveled which 'flowed' negatively through time, - a path which must have existed on both sides of the time dilation you observe and travel upon - meaning that any temporal wormhole (or whatever means of connecting two points across time) connecting 1970 earth to 2970 earth MUST to be there in 1970 even if YOU never went to 2970 FIRST to create the wormhole, because 1970 happened first, and you're in 2970 creating the wormhole. You're trying to go back and change things - whatever happens cannot be undone, period. If ever time travel to the past gets invented, they must not have changed anything or if they did we can't tell.
