Very nice way to put on a binder covering. I have tried to add them on a couple of smaller projects, but the double thickness of leather makes a difficult fold. A great way to leave a natural space between the covers and the spine covering. Well done video.
WOW! That looks amazing. I want a cover like this with a journal book and wallet to match for my husband. BY THE WAY GREAT ENTRANCE! CAUGHT MY ATTENTION LOL.
Awesome job. I got a bible cover kit from Tandy and after finishing the product I realized that it was 1/2" too short. AAARRRGGGHH. My own fault, I should have tested it first. I am going to cut my own this time. Thank you for showing this.
I really enjoyed your video. I love the finished product. I'm a fan of the way you did the strap and the scalloped look down the spine. Great work. I do have one pointer that I have learned through my own leather work, that I couldn't tell if you had done. When gluing prefinished materials I always make it a habit to rough up the surface, either with a knife or a bit of sandpaper. It gives the glue a better surface to grab onto. Again, great work, and I hope this comment helps. Have a great day!
ThirdDegreeTactical, Thanks for watching and for the compliments. I do typically rough up the leather before I glue it, but maybe I skipped that step on this one. I always appreciate good advice and tips. Thank you
Thanks for the video. I used your idea of a three piece cover for a new Bible cover for my wife's new large print study Bible. It is large and heavy, It didn't come out as nice as your did in some ways, but I was happy for my first attempt. I used 4-5 oz. on all and backed up the splice, where the handle was, with a piece of 8 oz. Thank you again.
wilton wager, This particular leather was Wicket and Craig English bridle. It doesn't carve well in my opinion but if you case it a little longer than you would unfinished vegetable tanned leather it stamps really nice and holds a deep impression. Thanks for watching.
How do I get this particular design? Exactly like it is done here? Please email price back to me and also a price with first and last name printed on it. Thanks
Hello Zina, I charge $75 for this Bible cover. I can have a name engraved on it for an additional $15. You can email me bryan@tripledsaddlery.com if you have any further questions. Thanks
"magic man, magic spells, a magic apple, breathing life into dust, talking snake and talking donkey, a man living in a fish and a unicorn" what a savage.
Love how you said, " Tomorrow morning I am going to church to deliver it to a customer" That's what I call great customer service!
I learned leather crafting in school and will never forget the craft. You have perfected your craft. Exquisite work!
Thank you very much
You are talented. Now I understand why these leather covers are expensive. It's worth the investment for our dear bibles.
The Lord is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of you! You have done well brother! God Bless You as you continue to advance His kingdom through leatherwork!
Love this brother! Keep being bold and pressing forward for the Father!
Great job and great filming for those of us who have never ever seen a double-foot press sewing thingy for leather in action. :)
Now this was poetry in motion!! Thanks can't wait to order one day. Continued blessings.

Beautiful job.👌🏻
Nice! It's beautiful!
Amazing work. I bet a handmade cover such as yours would last for a long time. I also see $$$s in what it would cost.
Thank you. I believe that quality materials and craftsmanship will last for generations.
How do you compensate for thickness of leather to ensure a good fit?
thank-you so much, I loved your video & I am going to try to make a cover for my bible!!
Linda Sawyer, thanks for watching. Good luck on your project.
I'm curious about how you did the spine. it looks like you glued another piece in the middle? Did you v-groove the folds as well?
Juli OrtizShockley, I did glue a spine in so it would be level with the sides. I used an Osborne groover to make the grooves so it would close easier.
. I'm about to start on my 1st Bible cover. Your video is the only one I've found helpful. Thank you so much. 😀
beautiful!
How did you stamp on dyed Leather?? I didn't think you could that!! and if I would come out like that I would fall Flat on my face!! At 1:07
