If you're talking about Peter Barber, just ask him, he is one of Tim's biggest fans, and he will be the first to say so, especially given Tim's holding of the note so long and the vocal closure that Tim achieves naturally, which is, frankly, remarkable and worth being in awe of.
Many people can hit that G1 note. But to get there you have to throw your throat wide open, and you lose all control to stay on the note for any length of time. And it takes so much air to produce any volume, most people would run out of air after about 5 seconds or so, and running low on air kills your control as well. What is so impressive is Tim holding the note so precisely for a good 12-13 seconds.
This and Geoff's E1 in Ooogie Boogie stand out as the 2 most iconic Acapella/Bass moments on TH-cam .. and they kickstarted a new trend which we see nowadays on TikTok as well The only problem with this one is that many reactors just confused Tim with Avi and thought Avi was hitting that low G ..
She talks about hearing that on a subwoofer system and it shaking everything. Can confirm. When they did this song on that one tv show I heard it then had to go find a clip to rewatch it. I ran an old school component home stereo system off my TV. 2 tower 15"s. I had everything in my bedroom and every adjoining room rattling. That note got down.
I have heard (and felt) this live and it is incredible. I was front row next to the subs and my whole body shook! Tim has shared some funny stories from over the years about what his low notes have caused.
As I was watching this, a large furniture moving truck was idling then drove away just outside my open window. The deep and low vibration that I heard and felt simultaneously made me wonder if Tim was at a truck stop one day and thought Hold My Beer… 🍺🍻
Tim can confuse speakers with that note.. lets pause on that... His voice.. just his voice alone... Can kill... A SPEAKER.... Love that we have evolved so much that it gets to the point a mans voice alone can obliterate a speaker with no help needed.
It's interesting how few can tell it's a growl. They're guessing fry or subharmonic. Don't get me wrong: it's a really resonant, strong growl, better than even most of Tim's. But you can definitely hear the quality change.
When Home Free competed on the 4th season of Sing Off in 2013, I believe it was the very first time that Home Free performed their arrangement of Ring Of Fire. I'm pretty sure of that, as there are sequences of Home Free coming up with the arrangement FOR the show. The "reaction" of the Sing Off judges is also pretty hilarious at their amazement of Tim hitting that note. Here's the link to the excerpt from that season: th-cam.com/video/eYELP1qwFA8/w-d-xo.html
I'm not a singer so I can't really sing as such but according to the app I downloaded the lowest I managed to produce when I went as low as I could was a G2. And holding that for any length of time was fricking hard. How he manages a full octave lower for 13 seconds or so I'll never understand.
I'm sorry Peter Barber... maybe you need to get the hair in your ears cut.. no one has come up to Tims level. I REPEAT NO ONE. Many have tried, and I know you try to imagine ur Kool, but no sir.
The length of time he held it was also impressive!
Someone I watched said it was 13 seconds.
Ben Folds did say that was the best way to leaving people wondering “What The F#&!# Was That “
Is nobody gonna mention how Peter effortlessly matched the same note?! WTF?!!

To give you an idea, that G1 that Tim hits is 49Hz. Think about that, your ears hear 20Hz to 20Khz.
Still to this day!!!!! Best reaction was Shawn Stockman when he did it live in the Sing Off.
Where can i watch it

The amount of air and control it takes to hit and hold that note for so long is incredible.
I love watching these ladies (and a few gents) experience their first Timgasm!

Avi took his hat off to Tim!

Had the same experience. Front row, left side. I had talked to them before the show and when Tim walked up on my side I was like "oh yeah!".
That. Was tim...G1..wow....
Yo, this compilation was 🔥no pun intended lol
As I was watching this, a large furniture moving truck was idling then drove away just outside my open window.

I am loving these videos, I hope you have Voiceplay's Hoist The Colours on your list (if only to get the QoFy moment in there lol)

I gotta buy the expansion pack for my keyboard so I can get that note 😂😂😂
The penultimate note means listeners become aware of where it could go but think No !

TIM FOUST of Home Free
Saucy dad is always my favorite reactor to home free❤😂😅
Love this compilation!!!
Loved this!!! Thanks!!❤
One of the reactions I watched said Tim held the G1 for 13 seconds.
After watching this all these times, i just realized the Tim blew the fire out down to nothing and then it came back at the very end.
It's not often that the worms feel an earthquake start ABOVE them 😂😂😂😂
He hit an F# doing it on Sing-Off
Tim and Avi 💞💞💞💞well we have Peter Barber as well 👏🏽👏🏽💞💞
So is it the note G that the ladies like? I can play my accordion in the key of G. 😎

When they sang this on The Sing-off, Tim hit an F#1.
11:57 those rumbles aint the only thing coming

I always thought Avi put the black cowboy hat on as a tribute to Johnny Cash.
Ring of Fire is not a Johnny Cash original. It was written by June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore and 1st sung by Anita Carter June’s sister.
I can see the producers: Tim, 7:30 , get up. We want the GI for 11 seconds.
Geoff on Voice Play's
My Mother Told Me.
G.O.T.'s look of mild concern or SauceyDad's look of abject horror, which is funnier?
Lol, love this!!!
Nice Skull and bones intro next?
