Quite an unusual type of tool, which, probably, requires not less unusual programming. I'm curious, does this machine support grinding, like DMG Mori's CTX Gamma does?
What’s the advantage in those roughing cuts? Why turn when cutting straight?
This is clearly a demonstration intendes to display how, by using the B-axis rotations while y-axis turning, you can distribute the wear of the tip of your tool thus allowing longer carbide life and flexibility in reach of cuts using different angles.
