They are also heat activated so once they are shot in there, they will never come out. There has to be a better way to tie this down like securing anchor points to the floor instead.

And ya gotta nail it down real god damn good because them boats sway alot and ya dont want you car or machine bouncing around in there, nailing it down is more secure than tie down straps too, especially with those nails being ring shank and the biggest failure point of a tie down is actually the part that tightens it (ratchet straps for instance, primary point of failure is the ratchet itself, and if it fails, it fails long before you meet or exceed the safety margin of the strap rating

Always tie down wheels or axles to allow the suspension of the vehicle to cycle. If not it will be unsecured by suspension while traveling.
