Hi Sir,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion, but i m not interested to import these plants so it might not be useful for me to prepare the video.
Ideally the logic is same, Some plants even imported with Soil doesn't need any post entry quarantine, sometime it may happen imported from 1 country doesn't need anything, but same plant imported from another country needs certifications and tests as well as PEQ facility setup.

See if you want to import for your name as individual please get on your name, if you want to import as a company get the IEC on company name, it can be prioperitry firm.
For more details better consultant some CHA (custom House agent) as they can guide you better as i also got on my name and now changes to company name, as my plants are billed to company name

What I know is if the plant is not available in the pq list you can’t import it. But better contact your local pq office and get it clarified and go ahead with it.

Not sure if you can import or not, but as far as my information or knowledge, if something is not there in the pq order you can’t import.
But better get this confirmed from your local or nearest pq office.

if your plants need Post entry quarantine facility setup go for it.
Best option is Get Tissue culture plants with Agar, those doesn't need any Post Entry Quarantine facility etc, as soon as they are out of Airport you are clear to do whatever you want to do.
If your plants are not in the PQ order you need to check with your nearest Plant Quarantine office, Mostly if its not in PQ order, you can't import those plants, some rare cases you can import if those are allowed but your local PQ office can clarify it.

Officially you can't bring any seeds to India without any seed license and other formalities.
Except the seeds are exempted or allowed to import without any formalities.
Check PQ Order and contact your nearest Plant Quarantine office on India.

Say if you apply from Delhi it will be signed by Pqs rangpuri...
Note: This is as per my information and knowledge, please validate and confirm with your local PQS before taking any step or permission for import permit.

Contact ministry of agriculture to get an offline permission if your plants requires a DAC permission. If not you don't need it.
Just go to Pqis website and download the pqorder and check which plant you want to import.
Import conditions for your plants are mentioned in the pqorder.

Hello sir, can I import rose plant from Thailand?
Yes you can, but rose plants need 18 months of post entry quarantine.
If you want to import the grafts it's 3 months. Please check PQ order for more conditions for rose plants.
Personally I would suggest to buy the plant from India even it's expensive and if you want to go for commercial use, after importing you need to have 18 months of post entry quarantine and some 5-6 inspections.

When you want to import to America you have to go and contact plant quarantine office of America and follow their rules and all other conditions

Hello Sir, i want to import vegetable seeds from US. But the seed company will not do any lab tests, field inspections, fumigations/treatments of any kind but will provide phytosanitary certificate. So Is there any way I can bring the seeds to India.
Check PQ order and see if the seeds you are importing requires any testing or not.
Also check with your port of Import for more clarification.
What PQ office told me seeds have less requirements but better validate and confirm before importing
@@saanvinursery7358 actually I visited PQ office in chennai. They are not responding sir. I wasn’t able to gather any information. And also PQ official website is not working.

There are details of all plant types.
If you plants or seeds need Post entry quarantine facility then you need to build it.
It can be closed (Polyhouse with double door as well as a water channel outside polyhouse to keep ants and rodents away from plants.
Open field can be applied once, with 3m height green sheet to avoid any pest and barb wires for animals etc.
Everything is mentioned in the PQ order.

@@ravishekhar633 depending on how many plants you want to import and of what size, say you want to use a 3in pot plant, than you can have 16 plants in 1 Square foot space, but if more plants you need walking space as well. But exact space can be queries to local PQ office.

@@ravishekhar633 Yes, PQ order 2003 only, but the site will have latest amendments to it, as the Ministry of Agriculture and Plant quarantine department makes timely amendments to it depending on county and plant Viruses know in that country.

Which plant you want to buy and check PQ order for that plant, search by scientific name of the plant and see what conditions are required for its import, is it just open plant or plants. If you can share the plant or scientific name i can help after searching the PQ order for conditions. For DAC - department of agriculture you need seednet.gov.in credentials where you can upload your seed license, for individual farmers you need to submit an affidavit that you won't sell the plants and if found guilty, you will be liable for punishment as per law.
Sir, it just one plant for personal home home use (not for commercial use). Scientific name - 'sequoia sempervirens' , seedling.
@@plantszone443 i could find only 2 entries for sequoia in PQ order and both are in schedule 7 of it, which means they are not plants, not sure if i can guide you here in any terms as per my information if the plant is not in PQ order you can't import it as DAC denied a permission for some plants in past which are not in PQ order.

Sir, can I import blueberry plants for personal?
Personal or whatever use, you have to follow the plant quarantine procedures for sampling, if you import tissue culture plants you can, but still you need department of agriculture permission.
You also have to submit an affidavit where you will mention it's 100% for personal use and you can't sell them.
More content of such affidavit can be shared by DAC, but for commercial use you need to have a seed licence and import export code IE code.
But if you want some 2-5 plants better procure from India.

please go through the PQ order, check if your plant is in the list or not.
if it's there follow the conditions for importing.
if it's not there please contact your nearest plant quarantine office and they can guide better in this scenario.
but for bare root plants make sure there is no soil attached to the roots.

I wish to import plants for my personal collection. Do you think hiring a IE agent would help or should I apply for the license? Any help related would be appreciated.
Well to import anything you need an IE code, which is almost free and use aadhar authentication so you don't have to buy any certificate.
If you want to import for personal collection, try to procure from India as it will be expensive but a smooth as compared to imported plants.
Second please check PQ order for you imported plants quarantine condition as well as contact your local plant quarantine department to check if you can import without any post entry quarantine or other conditions.
Local pqs is the best place to get all your answers.

Well IE Agent is required to help you with documentation, you can also do it on your own, but chances are different departments will delay your plant due to different documents as IE will know which document is required for which department and which officer etc.

Well i can't share my personal details, but what are the seeds and does they exists in PQ order, if it's there you can import and check for its conditions for plantation as some plants seeds needs test on the seeds as well as post entry quarantine facilities before sellings or sowings, however most of the seeds are free from all such constraints, but please check PQ order and contact your local plant quarantine office, well i can say i got very good response from plant quarantine people at Amritsar office...

Phytosanitary certificate will be issued by plant quarantine department of exporting country, now if say you are importing from US, their plant quarantine department will issue the certificate.
Quarantine certificate or post entry quarantine certificate will be issued by Indian department where they will check and certify that the facilities are as per standard
