A big difference is there between money made and revenue done. telling it from personal experience as an ecommerce seller. We were also able to do 1.4cr a year. money made was very very less.
You right, net profit is in between 10-20% as far as I know..but lets say 14lakh ruppees made, still a good option making 1000+ a month...plus you get to build your portfolio as well..which value increases overtime and maybe 10k+ USD per month with that skill...what you think?
When people say I made 500K USD then please ask if that was revenue or net profits. It is assumed that 500K USD was his net profit which is DEFINITELY NOT the case! Podcasters ALWAYS miss this!
Been in ecommerce for over 8 years now. It’s not that easy. Selling is the easiest part with ads..however as soon as you scale over half a million dollars, things change. Ad cost, overheads, inventory, creatives etc takes up a lot of money. You generally make 10-15% profits. It sounds sexy to hear that someone did 1cr but reality is different. We were lucky to have started with US dropshipping years ago and were able to make huge profits but thats not a case now. His core business right now is selling courses.
It is very easy for experienced people to figure out who has actually done ecommerce or drop shopping and who is beating around the bush with bookish knowledge. Most of the people who are selling courses have never sold a single product, never run a FB ad, never done trading. They just learn what to teach and that's it. In reality that knowledge will not help anyone in their profession.
