As someone who is tired and exhausted by goty culture, its nice to simply talk about games you liked most. Huber championing DD2 got me emotional. Severely underrated. Isla not holding back either. 1:06:33 I think that walking around the world of 1000xResist is also playing it into the narrative. It certainly could just move the player between each conversation automatically, but you don't get the same familiarity with the confined space that these people live in, and the liminal space effects that the game does towards the end of the game wouldn't hit as hard. I think the real criticism of 1000xResist is that it is overly hard to navigate, especially before they added a map to the game. I still think the effect of slowly becoming familiar through not getting lost as much contributes to the effects described above, but it takes some patience that some might not have for the game, especially when it's asking you to throw away any doubts and embrace the very abstract story it's trying to tell at the beginning.
Best game to play in one night is Neva (also Thank Goodness You're Here). Best boss fight is probably the final boss from Nine Sols. Best character is the little guy from Thank Goodness You're Here. Best game nobody talks about is either Nine Sols or Mechwarrior 5 Clans. Nine Sols not getting a shoutout for combat makes me feel completely disconnected from games media. You asked for a flaw in Astrobot and personally, having played the first 2 games not long before, it reuses the same engine, core mechanics, enemy types and even some music tracks. Mario games tend to bring a really fresh new change to the style and the basic way you move around even before involving powerups. 90% of it is also completely devoid of challenge, but that could also be said for Odyssey so its not really better or worse in that.
Sorry Huber, but Star Wars Outlaws is a shaky 5 at best. Some of the most boring AI, terrible stealth even after the patch, cardboard characters who have no character outside of a few cutscenes, the most cynical use of the IP yet, and appallingly lazy use of upscaling (smeared over everything like a damn vaseline filter) in a game that shouldn't need it because it would have only looked okay on the base PS4. And the speeder combat is atrocious! It has all the hallmarks of being in development hell and being rushed out for a quick buck.
