I don't do a lot of commenting on Creepypasta's, but this 100% genuinely creeped me out..great job😂 I live out in the country side, outside of Dallas..there are things you see and hear that even a seasoned pro, with nerves of steel, can't explain..and quite frankly, we don't want it explained..plenty of "natural" beasts to contend with, so if we can avoid the Supernatural ones, well, that's preferable 😕

Dude really dropped the ball on this one. He knew it was out there and still did all that talking, wasting time while his wife was in danger.
After initially seeing the creature on the live feed and eventually scurrying away into the field, I would have freaked out and not be able to sleep at all! Then I would have called my wife to check where she was at and if no response waited by the door with some kind of weapon until she got home! 🙄

I would of told my wife that someone was outside and to stay in a motel or something till morning just in case, or I would of camped by the door after telling my wife to call me when she was almost home. This moron did nothing to prevent this
@@chernga8 Or if after that initial encounter with the thing I had called my wife and she picked up, I'd have told her there's a burglary in progress or something so avoid the house 4 now, go check into a hotel or something till morning and I'll come get u when it's safe. About then is when I'd put that crib up for sale 😂

It’s incredibly strange that he wasn’t bolting for the door the second he realized his actual wife was outside, given the prior knowledge of what was just out there. This one was quite frustrating to listen to, especially after he deleted the only shred of evidence not only proving his sanity, but innocence.
Plus, when he ran out the door, shouldn't his wife been right in his path off the porch?
I can understand the hesitation just in case it was another trick.
I agree, erasing the video evidence that would clear you of any wrong doing is beyond stupid. Even if the authorities could'nt believe what they were seeing, there could be no denying the footage.

Overall I really liked this story, it was a really good one. However that part and the part where he deleted the video at the end didn’t make much sense.
At the end he talks about deleting the video because he feels like he would go crazy if he seen it again, then don’t watch it, just give your phone over to the police. There is a creature in the neighborhood attacking people and pretending to be them, but the character would rather not tell anyone and let more people die, or even be attacked themselves? Personally that’s the only 2 things I would have wanted changed in the story, but besides that I enjoyed it.

But like i get that most of the time if the MC of these stories was smart there wouldnt really be a story, but UGH its just so frustrating when im here literally listening through that part where he's talking about how his wife eases his worries or w.e, im like yelling to myself, "DUDE GO LET HER IN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
@@mainlyglitches main reason why it is deleted is because they cannot add good video in creepy pasta page. So instead of people asking for the footage, they just excuse it with deleted file. So noone can request its authenticity.

The description of it staring at the house from the field has left me feeling truly unsettled for the night. Definitely listening to this one again soon.

Really good twist! But definitely has some holes in it. For one, how was the thing quick enough to take the wife so far away, kill her, and then take her place as he was frantically running downstairs? Also, the thing didn’t seem capable of speech, so once the “wife” came inside, did the husband just not say a word to her or ask about her trip? and she went straight to sleep?
It did speak th first time, not much, but it still did
I see two possible reasons. There might have been two of them with one already having killed and replaced his wife. His “wife” was actually a creature all along, while the second creature wanted to kill and replace him.
The second theory is that he was suffering from a mental breakdown due to severe mental illness and killed his wife. There was never any creature, it was a figment if his imagination as his mind could not cope with what he had just done.
Doorbell camera's seem to attract these things but.... WTH!!! 😳..... Creepy arsed spouse, bigfoot height, grinning like a gibbon!

I love stories like this, with a tangible but unknowable creature that elicits the uncanny valley effect. Not like wengidos or skinwalkers, but something else that we know nothing about, something that can't truly mimic a human but still tries to do so in a desperate attempt to trick us

Definitely do security camera/ring videos again. This hit me harder than any of your other videos havebecause I have a security system also, and it turns the mystery of clicking on the app to see what has gone on during the night into something horrifying. That just outside my house is something that wants in.

So some creature that imitating the guys wife tries to get in. Not getting in it hides near the house and the guys reaction is to go back to sleep instead of calling his wife to warn her, tell her not to come home, or call for the police with your video evidence.
Also if it did come back I’d suggest large bullets being propelled at high speed through its body and something to dismember it when you put it down (just in case the bullets only temporarily take it down) and then gas or diesel with a burn barrel along with a nice fire would probably do the trick. If it can regenerate from that it’s part wendigo and your on your own. Just better hope there isn’t more than one of them. Also sell that house and move.

Good timing! I'm studying and I was getting so tired of my playlist.
There were some truly scary elements here. The description of the monster and the imagery of its head being met by the body “like a slinky” were chilling.
That said, the guySaw a monster and decided to go to sleep. Sees real wife and goes straight into “oh hey honey”, instead of warning her. Allows neighbor to ignore drag-marks. Deletes proof but still gets cops involved. Shows an utter lack of guardianship for his wife…
These guys are not protagonists. They are side characters that die stupid deaths before everyone else realizes there is a horror killing people in the neighborhood lol. Suspension of disbelief was hard for this one..

It’s been awhile since we had a family night listening to Stephen but it’s always a joy, an we’re finally able to slow down on all the doctors appointments an have time to relax an hang out with each other. I live with my parents even thou I’m 33 yrs old... the anxiety, depression and PTSD is holding me back from getting my life started an I can’t ask for greater more understanding parents.

One of those where I wanted to slap the protagonist!

Really made me surprised how many people enjoyed this one so much, especially given all the holes.
How could anyone sleep after seeing that? Why did he have the balls to check the camera again, but not actually call his wife? Why’d he assume it would have and be capable of using her phone anyways? Why wasn’t he bolting for the door the second she arrived? Why would he delete the only evidence proving his sanity and innocence?
I liked the story overall... just sometimes creepypasta protagonists have to make really bad decisions for the story to work I guess!

Is anyone else sort of reminded of a Life of Luxury video with this? All I can picture is something like the creatures they use all the time, even imagining the distorted voice
Great story, awesome narration, things to do: encircle the house with sea salt, and invest in a mossberg 12G either in a model 590a1 or 930 model, also solid copper slugs! Also buy four big chunks of amber, dip in holy water, then set in the sun from morning till sunset, then bury them at four corners of the property.
