Hi, the clay pots need to be immersed in normal or starch water for 6 to 8 hours to remove the smell of clay. No other seasoning ia required and they can be kept on stove. Any traditional cookware when first used for making gravies, gets adjusted to the heat of individuals stove and then works wonders..hope this helps. Thank you.

I see kallu chatti here for storing kallu uppu. How do we start using it. Coz we do not keep it on fire
Hi, the Soapstone jar for storing salt requires no seasoning. Just wash it and once dry store salt in it. Hope this helps.
